"Niklaus, are you absolutely sure about this?" Elijah questions emotionally as he stares at his younger brother for the last time. After a thousand years of searching and fighting for his brothers redemption, it seemed like he was finally getting what he wanted. Though it was a very bitter sweet moment.

"I love her, Lijah." Klaus says with no doubt in his voice. "I promised I'd follow her wherever she went and I promised her another life."

"How can you be so sure there is anything after this life?" Caroline frowns as she looks around her sisters office. Everything still placed how it was when she left it for the last time.

"I just know." He gently smiles down at the ground before looking up to his families mournful gazes. "It feels like her soul is calling to mine."

"Well, now we know he really has gone mad." Rebekah sighs in frustration. "You can't kill yourself Nik! This is bloody madness."

"I never thought I'd be saying this..." Kol loudly sighs, bringing everyone's attention to himself. "But our brother is not mad. With the very rare cases of soulmates I have encountered, it has been proven that when one dies the other feels a need, an urge, to follow them into death."

"Are you sure this is what she wanted for you?" Freya counters solemnly.

"I think that stubborn woman never would've admitted it but yes. Deep down I believe that she knew there was no more me in this world if she was not in it." He nods.

Elijah sternly grabs onto his brothers shoulder and they both stare intensely into the others eyes for a Moment before Elijah yanks him into a hug. Both of their breathing heavy as they cherish their last few moments together.

"It's been a glorious ride, Lijah." Klaus tearfully smiles. "Thank you for never giving up on me."

"Thank you for giving me purpose when I felt so lost." Elijah admits. "Go get your happiness brother." With one final nod Elijah steps out of the room allowing Caroline to step up next seeing as she was right beside Elijah.

Before Klaus can utter a single word Caroline engulfs him into a tight hug. A few tears slipping past her eyes. "Take care of her." She begs.

"Take care fo them." He nods towards the children standing in the back of the room being comforted by each other.

Pulling back she nods at him, analyzing his features one last time before following Elijah out of the room.

"Nik." Rebekah cries as they make eye contact. She rushes into his arms and holds onto him like a life line. " I'm sorry for being a brat."

"That's what little sisters are for." He assures with a joyful laugh.

"Go find your happiness." She croaks.

"Only if you go find yours." He argues. "I know you love Marcellus and I think it's time you stop running, Bekah." Her gaze turns teary and she nods her head. Sending him one last glance before leaving the room.

Looking towards Freya and Kol he holds his arms out and both siblings rush into his embrace.

"Tell her I love her." Kol chokes out.

"She knows." He grins.

"Tell her ill see her in a couple years down the road." Kol urges. "She doesn't have to worry about the kids, ill protect them. Damon and I will keep them safe."

Klaus raises a silent brow when he hears the oldest Salvaatore's name but doesn't mention it any farther. "Goodbye little brother."

Kol nods his head at him and grabs his wife's hand. Davina simply gives him a small smile that he returns as he watches them walk out.

"I wish someone would've warned me of the never ending deaths when I found our family again." Freya hastily wipes her tears.

Chuckling at the woman Klaus shakes his head. " Now, what would be the fun in that?"

"Take care of yourself, Freya." He says sincerely. "And should you finally admit your feelings for that pesky history teacher, know I approve." She kisses his cheek and bids him one final goodbye.

"I Don't suppose we need much of a goodbye. You've only wanted this for a few decades." Klaus smirks as he turns towards the small mystic falls group left.

"Dont be so conceded. Twenty years max." Damon jokes, Grunting when Elena smacks his stomach. His smile slowly fades. "All jokes aside, a very, very, VERY, small part of me is glad you guys came back. You gave her back the light in her eyes that had been gone for so long."

"Very appreciated Damon." Klaus simply replies.

"Oh and uh, before I forget..." Damon sighs, pulling a letter out of his pocket. "Stefan sent this for you. I would open it after everyone leaves."

Taking the letter he nods and shoves it into his back pocket.

"Goodbye, Klaus." Elena, Bonnie, Alaric, Enzo, and Jeremy all simply say with a slight tone of sadness, in which he just responds with a nod as they all leave.

"Dad." Hope cries. Looking up from the door he quickly catches the girl that had run into his arms.

"It's going to be okay." He promises.

"I'm sorry." Adeline whimpers from besides them. She had felt like it was all her fault and their mother would've had more time if she didn't make such an irrational decision.

Setting hope down he brings them both into a tight hug. "You're mother didn't blame you for anything, she was proud of you all in her last moments. Never doubt how much your mother and i loved you all." he emphasizes the all when looking up at all of the kids.

"Is this really goodbye?" Josie whispers as she tightens her hold on a mournful Izzies hand.

"Not forever, little ones. You're mother and I are going to want to hear about all of your stories once you've truly lived life. You need to travel and see what the world has to offer. You are all so much more than this small supernatural town. Promise me you'll always stick together?" He says, looking to each and every one of them.

"Always and Forever."  They all say in sync.

Klaus kisses all of the girls heads one last time before they all leave when he notices Jace and Alec sticking behind.

"Any last pieces of advice you need? Perhaps about girls?" He tries to lighten up the mood.

Jace scoffs. "It took you over twenty years to finally get mom, I think ill skip out on that advice."

"Will you take care of her? Make sure she isn't alone wherever she is, and make sure she knows that we all love her." Alec begins to ramble.

"Make sure she knows that we're going to be okay, you know how she gets." Jace softly speaks while placing a hand on his brothers shoulder.

Smiling at how far the two boys have come he nods his head. "Rest assured you're mother will be taken care of."

They both turn to leave but pause, sending understanding glances to the other. "Thank you, for showing us what its like to have a father. We always had Alaric but with you, it was different. So thank you." Jace whispers, staring at his father.

And Klaus understood, after all this time he had finally forgiven him for not being there when he was a child and had accepted him as his father. The same for Alec, because although he wasn't biologically his son they clicked just like a family would.

Once they were both gone he pulls the white oak stake out of his jacket pocket and places it on the table. Taking a deep breath he pulls the letter out of his back pocket and slowly opens it.

Dear Klaus,

When I first came back to life only to find out that the Mikaelsons were back in town you would not believe how how scared I was. Now i wasn't scared that you guys were planning your hundredth plan to kill us all or that you were secretly scheming something... I was truly afraid that you would win back Camilla's heart.

Stabbing the wooden oak into his heart he loudly gasps as the painful sensation quickly spreads through out his whole body.

You see, we all know how she used to speak about you. Hell, we all remember how she used to act around you. You were the only person she could truly take the time to be herself around. She never had to make sacrifices to save your life because you were always saving hers. She could finally breath when you were around. Like a breath of fresh air after we had all been drowning her for so long. Her eyes would light up every time she spoke about you and it secretly broke my heart. When you were around, even though she would always deny it at first, it's like she sensed it. She didn't even have to see you to know you were there. She only had eyes for you.

Klaus furiously blinks as his vision goes in and out of vision for a few moments. When he's finally able to grab ahold of himself he realizes he was at Mikaelson Mansion in Mystic falls. Standing up he glances down at his outfit in confusion, he was in a black tux.

Camilla Forbes is a rare soul, one I don't think ill ever be able to forget. Not that I would ever want to. My point of all of this is that you got the girl. You got the girl that is loyal to the ends of the earth and the girl who loves harder than anyone I have ever met in my centuries of living. Some part of me always knew it would be you and her in the end, but make no mistake... in another life I would have swooped her off of her feet.

Walking towards the sound of music he nears the ballroom, hearing the song 'Give me love' By Ed Sheeran playing.

"Cami?" He whispers in disbelief as he notices her standing in the middle of the room in the same dress he had gifted her all those years ago.

Turning around Camilla's smile widens, she begins sprinting into his arms as he laughs with glee. Thanking every god that exists that he had the chance to be with his true love once again.

I admit, I admire the fact that you're willing to die to be with her again. Take care of her for me, and let her know that I'm going to live my life like she would have wanted me to. I'd like to say it was nice knowing you, but that wouldn't be the full truth and with our luck this isn't the end for us so I'm just going to end with this...

Until we meet again,
Old Friend

Klaus and Camilla laugh together as he spins her around multiple times, pulling her as close as possible as the song comes to an end.

"We got our other life." She whispers with the brightest smile he had ever seen her with.

"That we did, love." He agrees, mirroring her smile with one of his own.
