Today, they're going on a school field trip. They're going to Mount Chuck for the annual Freshman field trip. Their supervisor today is Mrs. Driscoll from science class and her skeleton, who (Name) learned has a name, Mr. Driscoll.

Once the bus came to a stop, they know they've arrived. The bus door opens with a hiss and the students almost immediately left the bus in a line.

Howard went out first before (Name) and Randy.

"This is going to be awesome!" Yelled a boy from their class.

Randy and (Name) awed at the view of the mountain and the pine trees, clear sky and...other trees. They left the bus and joined the other students, them being with Howard.

(Since (Name) doesn't know about the skeleton yet, I'm going to just call him skeleton)

Mrs. Driscoll came to the front, her wrist tied to her skeleton's wrist, both wearing matching hats.

"Ah, the annual Freshman field trip to Mount Chuck." Mrs. Driscoll happily sighed before she grab the skeleton's jaw and deepen her voice, "The world's only man-made volcano."

And they went on about the volcano. (Name) couldn't pay attention because, this was the first field trip she's ever gone to, without having any raging man size bats attacking the bus after a few minutes on the road. So she thinks it might happen soon.

It started after she became (Hero name) again and it was thrilling to know that she can fight evil once more. But it's nagging, knowing that everything is not happening like in the comic books she's read.

"Glory awaits, Howard." Randy announced happily to his best friend, Howard. Who was smiling as wide as he does.

Randy continues, "When we spit in that volcano, we'll be joining Norrisville high's all-time greats."

On cue, Mrs. Driscoll says, "Of course we won't actually be going up the volcano, that's for hooligans, daredevils and tomfoolers. Nope, we're headed to the informative and school board approved museum of silt."

Most of the students there groaned in disappointment, but one of them stood out by chanting, "Silt, silt, silt!"

"What's so special about Silt? Maybe I'll know when i see it for myself." (Name) muttered to herself. Feeling a bit under the weather after the bus ride.

She swore she smelt Cheetos and cola on her seat when she sat down in there. Who the heck eats and drink in the bus? Well, i don't because I've never ride a bus before.

"Now, before we go in, i want to say one thing." Mrs. Driscoll says as she approaches her students.

"Oh, Jerry." She giggles, holding the skeleton's hand after it slap her back. She drops to more serious expression, "Every year, some numbskull tries to sneak up the volcano to spit in it."

"That's us, Howard. We are that numbskull." (Name) hears Randy whisper to Howard.

Mrs. Driscoll then added, "Which is why we're using the buddy system. If you stray more than five feet from your buddy, you both get a month's detention."

Everyone grunts in annoyance in response.

"Sounds extreme, don't you think?" (Name) whisper to Randy who nodded in agreement.

"For added security, I'm pairing a responsible student with a numbskull." Mrs. Driscoll then paired up her students. "(Name), you're with Randy."

Randy and (Name) slightly jumped in response with shocking faces, they look at one another before they smiled.

Randy smirked, "I guess you're stuck with me now, (Last name)."

"I think you're the one who's stuck with me, Cunningham." (Name) replied with the same smirk.

"QUIT IT!" Howard shouted with irritation.

"Oh... On second thought. Bucky, you'll be with Randy."

Bucky groans in disappointment.

"WHAT?!" Randy shouted in disbelief but he was ignored. (Name) snickered against the back of her hand. Howard chuckled also.

"Flute girl, you're with Howard."

Flute girl groans in disappointment also, slapping her forehead. "Ooh!"

"Julian, with (Name)."

Julian giggled in satisfaction rather than groan in disappointment. He just knew her yesterday and he already liked her close as a friend.

(Name) grin and shrug her shoulders as in, 'M'kay'. The trio turn to one another as Howard growls.

"Oh, great. What do we do now, huh?" Howard said to them with pure confusion and frustration. "I mean, i was all excited to sneak off and luge into the volcano. And scarf down some victory nachos."

Howard pulled out a bucket of cheesy nachos from his bag and hold it in his hands. Randy grins, "If it was easy, it wouldn't be awesome. We just have to find a way to get up there."

He wrap his arms around Howard and (Name)'s shoulders before telling them, "Rendezvous at Checkpoint Bravo—"

And then Mr. Driscoll appeared behind them, startling the trio while Mrs. Driscoll voice act as the skeleton.

"No funny business, you three, i got my sockets on you."

The three cower away from Mrs. Driscoll and Mr. Driscoll, their state still a bit frightened from the interruption. The three eyed one another with the same expression.

Mrs. Driscoll then walk away, bringing Mr. Driscoll with her. They straighten their backs with relief.

Julian then came up to (Name) and said, "Tehehe, looks like we're partners, (Nickname)."

(Insert any nickname you want him to give you)

"I guess we are, Julian." (Name) nodded, expecting him to walk away but he didn't.

'Right. The five foot rule' She thought, deadpanned.

Randy groaned loudly and look at (Name). "We were partnered, not you and Julian." He scoffed, "I can't believe she just switched us like that."

"What's wrong, Randy? It's not like we're going to be meters away from each other. We gotta look out for..." She lean close to him and whisper, "the You-know-what."

"Yeah. I know." Randy smile with satisfaction. Happily reminded that they're both superheroes of Norrisville high.

"All right, everyone, let's head inside and learn about Silt in the Museum of Silt." Mrs. Driscoll announced before she went inside first with the skeleton.

Everyone paired up with their assigned partners and went in after her. (Name) then began to think, if she's going up to the volcano with Randy and Howard, then how is she going to convince Julian to come with. She can't endanger an innocent student.

Though, knowing (Name), she might have a plan up her sleeves. Everyone went inside the small theater in the Museum, playing a short movie about Silt. Everyone was inside but Randy and Bucky.

Howard was asleep not minutes into the movie. (Name) watches with pure boredom with Julian on the seat next to her. She glances around the room before she quietly turn on her MP3 player(still no name yet) and scroll through the tiny screen before she founds the button she was looking for.

A tiny camera with tiny spider feet popped into her hand and she exchanged herself with her holographic form. Thankfully, the hologram successfully copied her current attire and everything. All it needs to do was to follow Julian around, but since she hasn't been tinkering it, it'll just nod or answer simply without a voice.

Julian turn to her but to his eyes, he sees her sitting beside him calmly watching. It pleased him, knowing that she's not breaking the five foot rule. The real (Name) made it outside and she breathe out a sigh of relief before noticing Randy coming out of the photo booth.

Randy saw her from the corner of his eye and turn to her. "(Name)! You made it— uh, where's Julian?"

"I took care of him, don't worry." (Name) replied, approaching the tyrian purple teenager.

"Let me guess, hologram?" He smirked.

She chuckled, "You know it."

He went back to the task at hand and walk towards Bucky. "What do you say, partner? You volca-know you wanna come with me."

"You do make a convincing zing." Bucky hummed before he turn to (Name).

"Aren't you supposed to be with Julian, (Name)?"

"Oh, i had a backup plan. Just in case if, uh..." Her voice began to trail off as she tries to make up an excuse.

Bucky's eyebrow arch in confusion before she finally said, "I need to go do girl stuff."

"What kind?"

"You know what? Let's just go!" (Name) urged before the three of them finally leave the museum and go up the man-made volcano.

"Where's Howard?"

"I didn't have the chance to wake up that cheese head. I was sitting beside Mrs. Driscoll since the start of that boring documentary." (Name) told him, her hands in her pockets.

"How are you going to go hero if you're using your MP3 player for the hologram?" Randy whispered to her so Bucky couldn't hear.

"Don't worry, Randy. I got everything under control." (Name) reassured him, her hair swaying from the wind.

Randy smiled at her, his pupils dilated in adoration before he nod his head. "Got it."

Once they made it to their rendezvous point at Checkpoint Bravo. Now they just have to wait for Howard to arrive with the victory nachos. Randy lean against the sign as (Name) waited patiently for their best friend and Bucky sat himself down on a rock not far away from them.

The silence was starting to grow awkward between the two of them as they wait. She fidget uncomfortably before finally speaking.

"So... Did you watch that tv series yet?"

"Which one?" He ask, immediately a second after she finished.

"Well, it's not anime, but it's pretty good."

"What's it called?" Randy asks, tilting his head with interest.

She turn her head towards him, smiling, "Sherlock Holmes BBC. Sherlock was played by Benedict Cumberbatch."

"Oh, that one! Yeah. My mom did mention it this morning in the kitchen. When did you started to watch that show?"

"Just yesterday. I finished the second season last night." (Name) truthfully answer, rubbing her neck sheepishly.

"I heard it was an hour long or so at least each episode." Randy told her.

"Yeah, but it was amazing! I heard from my neighbor across the street that Steven Moffat said that he wants to see the show back on the air. Season 5 might be possible!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"But you just started watching yesterday." He chuckled.

"I know. But i can't help myself. When i find good shows, i tend to finish it." (Name) said sheepishly, shrugging her shoulders.

Randy heart flutter at her excitement. She was so adorable getting excited over something. Her cheeks decorated with a soft color of red whenever she speaks of something she adores.

"Stop it, Howard!"

They heard flute girl grunt angrily from the side and knew for sure that it was because of the five foot rule. Howard chuckled at her before taking another few steps.

"I mean it!" She yelled, following him with no other choice.

He chuckled again which made her stomp her foot. "This isn't funny!"

That's when Howard took off to where his two best friends are, laughing. Flute girl grumbles and chase after him. "I'm telling Mrs. Driscoll!"

"Five foot rule, huh?" Randy smirk at his genius plan.

Howard calmed down from his laughter. "Yeah. She's gotta go wherever I go."

When he turn to them, he saw their shoulders nearly touching which made him question their smiles. "Did I miss anything?"

"Nope." "We were just talking." They both replied at the same time.

"(Name)? Weren't you with Julian?" Flute girl wondered.

"Was i? Or was i not?" She teased before Howard started walking again which caused Flute girl to follow.

"That is not funny."

Randy waved at her before he signal Bucky to follow, who stood up and follow them up to the top of the volcano.

Once they made it up. Bucky got on his knees and began to feel the ground. He tasted the silt, unusually.

"Hey, this is the same as the silt at the bottom!" Bucky exclaim in disappointment.

"It's been years, Bucky. I don't think it'd still be as fresh as it was back then." (Name) yelled over the wind as the trio stand on the edge of the volcano entrance.

"Our most finest hour is upon us." Randy dramatically announced to his dear friends.

"This is your greatest idea ever." He praise his best friend dramatically.

Flute girl scoffed from the side, "You guys are idiots."

(Name) pull out the camera from her bag and Randy raise it above their heads. "Ready..."

"Set..."

"Hork!"

The two boys spat down the volcano as (Name) shudder slightly in disgust. And Randy took the picture, after making sure that (Name) got in the frame.

The trio wrap their arms around each other's shoulders. "Epic."

Randy turn his head towards Howard and notice a cheese sauce on the edge of his lips.

"Hey, where are the victory nachos?" Randy question with suspicion. Howard's face fall.

"Howard." (Name) warned.

The ginger head licked the sauce off of his lips to hide the evidence. Randy and (Name) look at him with the same expression, frowning.

"What did the nachos contain?" (Name) then found an empty bucket of where the nachos were supposed to be and read the inscriptions.

"You ate them all?!" Randy shouted.

"It was an accident!" His excuse made Randy cross his arms and turn away angrily.

"...Notodextrium, sodium phosphate, and xanthan gum?" She read from the inscriptions and look up at them.

"You tell me, how am I supposed to resist that?"

Randy turn his body around towards Howard, with a glare. "Those 'chos were for the three of us." He reminded.

"I carried them all the way up here, you should share with me."

"I bought us that 20 dollar nacho cheese to share. We trusted you with it!"

"And you ate all of them!"

Then Randy and Howard began to fight over the nachos. (Name) facepalmed and sighed heavily. How did she end up with these two knuckleheads? She'll never know.

The two boys fought over the last chip of the nachos. Unfortunately, the bucket ripped in half and it was sent flying down the volcano.

"Ooh!" Randy groaned, standing up from the ground.

"Oh, way to go, Cunningham." Howard groaned, glaring back at his best friend.

(Name) went to the edge of the volcano as Randy watch her warily, he can feel Howard's glaring on the back of his head. She squint her eyes and notice tiny blue blobs gathering around it. With curiosity, she press the button on the side of her glasses and zoom in.

"You betrayed me with wordplay, Randy." Bucky says sadly, hugging himself.

Flute girl grabs his shoulder, glaring at him. "Come on, Bucky, let's go."

And they both leave the volcano, Bucky sniffing back his tears as Randy watches them leave, he try to get him back by apologizing.

"Bucky, I'm sorry." Randy then notice Howard from the corner of his eye and turn to him with a frown. "Where do you think you're going?"

"I'm sorry, Cunningham, five foot rule." Howard told him before walking away, leaving Randy to deadpan at his excuse.

Randy looks down and let out a sigh but once he do, the ground under them begins to shake rapidly, not strong enough to make them fall.

"Uh, Randy?" (Name) panicked which made Randy rush over and look down to where she's looking.

Under there, a once-blue blob monster formed. The cheese of from the nachos must've attracted their attention without the rest of them knowing.

"What?" He gaped.

The tentacles stuck out of the hole, causing both Randy and (Name) to back away. "That's probably bad."

"Ya think?" She asks, clearly a little scared but also determine to get away from it.

They see a tentacle strike and immediately stand up to run away from getting crushed under it. Pieces of the volcano began to fall down the volcano which made Howard, Flute girl, and Bucky to run all the way down to get away.

"The volcano is erupting!"

But then suddenly, Bucky was taken from them. He lets out a wail as the tentacle took him into a cave.

Flute girl stopped at the entrance and look at Howard worriedly. "What happened to Bucky? What was that?"

Howard came to her and hold her shoulders. "All great questions. Why don't we discuss it, oh, i don't know... Back at the bus!"

Before they can leave, the same tentacles grabbed them, preventing them from leaving and drag them inside. Howard and Flute girl screamed but Howard was the loudest one. It caught (Name)'s and Randy's attention.

They were both quick on their feet but going down the volcano at that speed was a bad idea. Randy and (Name) let out a scream, the scream they let out when they ride a rollercoaster, and Randy abruptly stopped to save his and (Name)'s life by grabbing her bag.

"STOP, STOP!"

They fell on their backs, panting heavily from all that running and adrenaline. But then they hear this,

"Oh, it put its tentacle in my mouth!"

"Huh?" They both turn around towards the cave behind them. "Howard?"

'Why did he say it like that?' She groaned internally before they hear a loud growl coming from the cave.

The two look at each other and nod with determination. Both grabbing their Ninja mask and MP3 player and transformed into their superhero alternatives.

They landed heroically inside and saw the giant orange/yellow blob, holding their classmates and best friend as hostages or worst, meal.

"Time to un-endanger the innocent." He mutter under his breath and pull out his sword.

"Seriously, where did you even get that from?" (Hero name) asks the Ninja as she grab her own sword.

"I don't know. It's just there." The Ninja replied poorly before they pay their attentions towards the monster.

The monster extended its tentacles towards them but The Ninja was quick enough to slice them, "Ninja slice!"

The monster blinked in surprise, looking down at it's chopped up tentacles.

"Totally worked." The Ninja proudly say.

But to his surprise, the tentacles grew back longer than before. It growled out of anger.

"Ninja, (Hero name), it's not working!" Flute girl yell.

"Yeah, thanks, we caught that." The Ninja sarcastically say.

(Hero name) swung her sword at the tentacles that went right in front of them. It dried and cripple away as the blob monster screech out.

"It's weak against heat." (Hero name) told the Ninja which made him nod his head, taking in the information.

The monster used the longer tentacles and grab the rocks from its surrounding. It threw them towards the two superheroes but the rocks missed them horribly. Because they dodged them.

"Ah-ha, not even close!" The Ninja yells cockily, his hands on his hips.

But their victory was short-lived when the pieces of the volcano wall fell on top of them. The monster laughs lowly at its victory and proceed to eat the three teenagers.

Suddenly, they hear a squeal. It took the monster's attention away from the teenagers and towards the squealing. Down there it sees a smaller, more harmless amoeba with a cleaning spray in it. The monster approach it, bearing its tentacles to make itself look more fierce and grab it from the rock it once stood on.

The Ninja and (Hero name) emerge from the pile of rocks and groaned in pain. "You okay?" The Ninja asks her as she pull out a tiny piece of rock out of her hood.

"Never better."

They turn to the monster while it was cackling and squishing the poor harmless amoeba when it kept tightening its grip, suddenly the cleaning spray shoots fire out and it hit the monster's body. Creating a hole. The monster lets go of the amoeba and watches part of its body crumble away.

The Ninja stood up on the rock and chuckled. "That's it!"
