Benny pov:

I woke 10 am with y/n still in my arms peacefully sleeping. I decided for the sake of not embarrassing her I would get up, change and then wake her.

Once I successfully got up, I grabbed a baseball shirt and some jeans, then made my way to the bathroom. When I finished, I walked back in to see her sitting up and tiredly rubbing her eyes.

"I am so sorry for last night Benny. I probably made you uncomfortable and you probably don't even like me that much and you only let me stay out of pity and I'll just go now." She quickly started to get up and climb out my window but I was quicker and grabbed her wrist stopping her.

"Y/n stop. None of the thing you said were true. And please don't go, I was gonna make food." I pouted at her, making her face change from embarrassment to a giddy smile.

"Can't say no to food." She stated, moving her legs to back in my room. I swiftly picked her up and threw her over my shoulder, despite her protests. "Benny! What are you doing!"

"Well you don't know my house so what better way from keeping you from getting lost than carrying you?" She finally gave up with an exaggerated sigh.

Setting her down on the counter, I opened the freezer and glanced back at her. "Toaster waffles sound good?" She immediately perked up at the sound of waffles. "Of course!"

I happily took out 4 waffles, placing them in toaster. I turned around to see y/n admiring the kitchen. "Your folks keep the place pretty clean."

"Yeah, my mom is a neat freak and my dad likes stuff in order." Then the door unlocked and in walked Maria. As soon as she saw me and y/n in the kitchen she grinned cockily and walked over to us.

"Morning y/n, morning Benny." Oh no, I'm definitely going to be blackmailed. "Good morning Maria, weren't you at your boyfriends house?" Y/n asked.

"Oh I decided to come back early to make sure he hadn't burnt the house down, but seeing that he has you here, I couldn't of been more wrong. Speaking of that, why are you here? Not that I'm mad just curious." I gulped but y/n didn't seem to nervous.

"He found me having a breakdown at 2 am at the sandlot and agreed to let me stay over for personal reasons." She said. Maria just nodded and gave her a small smile then turned to me and smirked.

"So Benny boy, where did you guys sleep?" She asked curiously. "We both slept in my bed, but it's not like we did anything! Jeez, get your mind out of the gutter, we're not even 14." Suddenly our waffles popped up and I set them on a plate for each of us, then sat up on the counter by y/n eating as Maria eyed me with a smirk.

"Maria, nothing is going on so just go away and stop making it awkward, stupid." I snapped. Maria raised her hands in defense as she walked into her room while y/n laughed.

"Man I miss doing that." She said. I gave her a curious look and she finally stopped laughing. "I have a older brother, Harley, he's adoptive but he was adopted before I was born so I think of him as my real brother. He's off in college but I think I'm seeing him soon." I just nodded, taking another bit of my waffle.

We just sat around and joked as we ate. When we were done. I helped y/n sneak back in her house. "See ya at the lot at 12?" I asked. "Wouldn't miss it for the world." I smiled then walked back in my house.

Y/n pov:

After returning home, I looked through my closet and settled on tucking in a black tank top to some old jeans and black converse.

Yawning, I decided I have a bit of time so I decided to take a nap. Setting my alarm, I laid down and instantly fell asleep.

When i woke up, it was 11:50 and Benny was knocking on my door. I quickly got up, put on my black Yankees hat backwards and grabbed my glove.

Rushing to the door, I saw Benny leaning on the frame, immediately smiling once he saw me. Shutting the door, I jumped down the porch steps with Benny following.

"You feeling any better?" He asked. "Yeah, thanks again. You're a really great friend Benny." I smiled up at him, in which he returned.

Yeah Yeah pov:

"Yeah yeah! He totally likes her!" I shouted. We were currently arguing if Benny liked y/n. Me, smalls, ham, and Kenny all thought so. The others didn't.

"Everyone knows Benny doesn't like girls! Y/n is the only girl he talks to that isn't family, bu-" "Exactly! If he didn't like her he wouldn't talk to her! Besides, he was the one who invited her!" Kenny cut off Bertram.

"Yeah yeah! And remember yesterday! He kept his arm around her! Plus, he got super angry when Phillips was flirting with her!"

"Benny gets mad about anything with Phillips and he probably forgot!" "He probably forgot!"

"Forgot what?" Benny suddenly asked, y/n by his side. "U-uhm, that we were gonna start practice at 11." Kenny saved. "Yeah yeah!"

"I won't question you because I know for a fact you never said that, IF I get to bat." Y/n said. We all nodded as she ran to home base. "Ok cut the crap, what were you really arguing about?" Everyone turned to Benny.

"If you like y/n!" Everyone threw their glove at smalls. "Me, Kenny, yeah yeah, and ham all think so, no one else does." Then I looked at Kenny as if he was reading my mind, he said "Benny man, do you think y/n's cute? We all answered earlier."

"Well yeah I guess, and she got pretty hot yelling at Phillips." "Do you like her personality?" "Of course! She's funny and nice and super smart, and she's caring." "Does she have any flaws, like anything you don't like?" "Absolutely not."

We all looked at each other then turned to Benny. "Your whipped man." We all said. Sighing he shook his head. "Whatever, now base up you block heads!"

Y/n pov:

I watched everyone run to their position, except for Benny. Of course ham was catcher. As Kenny pitched, the fences got shaken, causing him to mess up the pitch and me to turn to where it came from.

Due to the pitch being messed up and me not paying attention, the ball hit me hard in the arm, causing me to stumble back a bit and drop the bat. I immediately heard laughing and saw Phillips and his crew laugh at me while the other came up to make sure I was ok.

As everyone was checking on my arm, I glared right at Phillips, he turned to look at me and winked, hitting me with an idea. Turning to the boys I made them all look at me by whispering 'boys!'.

"No matter what I'm doing, trust the process, I have a plan." I whispered. They all nodded and backed up but I grabbed Benny and pulled him closer. "This is part of the plan, whatever I say I don't mean and pretend to look hurt." I whispered.

He let go of my hand with a disappointed expression. Getting up I glared at Kenny. "God, I bet you did that on purpose because I'm a girl! You boys are so rude! Phillips! I'll take you up on your offer!" I said walking towards him, mouthing sorry to the boys.

"Great! Finally leaving those losers for the big guys. You made the right choice." He smirked. "One question, why'd you do it? Shake the fence?" I asked, giving him my best puppy eyes.

"Sorry babes, it was an accident, my hand slipped." He said. I just smiled and walked closer to him, soon a couple inches apart. I slowly moved my hand, making it look like I was going to hold his face then quickly slapped him. Hard.

"Sorry it was an accident, my hand slipped." I said sarcastically as I smirked walking back to the boys who had moved closer. Ham lifted me onto his shoulders while others laughed.

"Haha Phillips! She's our badass chic not yours!" Ham yelled as the other boys yelled 'yeah!'. I smiled proudly as he and his crew rode off. Ham set me on the ground as Kenny came up to me.

"I'm so sorry y/n, I didn't mean to hit you, the sound startled me and threw off my pitch, I hope you're ok right?" He asked. "It's ok Kenny, I know it's an accident and yeah I'm ok." I smiled immediately causing him to smile.

"You're pretty tough for a girl y/n, most the other girls would've cried being hit that hard." Bertram said, playfully punching my arm. I flinched, being as he hit my now forming bruise.

"Y/n we should probably get some ice on that." Benny suggested. I nodded and we all started walking to the dugout to get me an ice pack.

After practice I had walked home with Benny and Smalls. I had just stepped out of the shower and grabbed my clothes. I decided to wear super comfy so I could wear them to sleep. Slipping on a tye dye crop top and sweatpants, I quickly dried my hair and brushed it.

I packed my bag for the campout and added some snacks too. Checking the time, I realized Benny and Smalls would be here soon. Quickly slipping on my white converse, I grabbed my bag and put on my black yanked hat, backwards as always, and ran to the door.

"Bye dad! Love you! I'm gonna wait on the porch!" I yelled. "Bye love you! Be safe and punch any boys who try to get touchy!" He yelled, causing me to laugh.

As soon as I left, I saw smalls and Benny walking over to me. I smiled and walked over to them as we started heading to the treehouse.

Everyone had gone to bed as I lay awake. It was probably almost midnight and I couldn't sleep, probably because of hams snoring. Thinking that Benny, who was laying next to me, was asleep, I quietly got up and walked to the deck outside the tree house.

Sitting down, I stared at the moon and closed my eyes, thinking about everything and anything, honestly mostly Benny and my mom. Soon, I started singing the song I wrote for a project in music at my old school in New York.

Then I heard, clapping. Quickly spinning around I saw all the boys up and surrounding the window closest to me. And they weren't sarcastic clapping, they were actually clapping like they liked it.

"𝕎-𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕘𝕦𝕪𝕤 𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕙𝕠𝕝𝕖 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖?" I asked. They all nodded and Benny started speaking. "I heard you get up so I secretly followed you, once I heard you sing, I woke up all the boys and we started listening. I could swear I saw some almost falling asleep."

I slowly started to smile a bit and walk back inside. "Y/n, could you sing us all back to sleep?"Timmy asked. "Sing us back to sleep?" Tommy repeated. I looked at all the boys, silently asking if they wanted me to too, which they all nodded.

When I finished, all the boys were fast asleep and I was tired too. As I laid down, I felt my eyes droop and I slowly fell asleep.
