Jisoos birthday was coming up and it was a sad one. She was turning 16 but she had been crying nonstop for the past couple of days.

Her bunny, whomel she named Honey because of her honey colored fur, had tragically died. She lived with her parents and her mom told her the sad new three days before her birthday.

She loved that bunny so much that she wanted to take her with her when she became a trainee but she couldn't at the time.

Honey had been in the family for years and she lived a long life. After some time, she got really sick and old. She knew this day would come but that did not mean she wanted it to happen.

Some might tell her that she's overreacting but Honey was her child, so to speak. She loved her. Anyone would react the same way if they had a pet they considered family.

It was the morning of her birthday and Jisoo was the only one still in bed.

The boys all decided to do something special for that day, since they were granted a 4 day vacation.

Jin even cooked her favorite breakfast.

"Where's Jisoo?" He asked, turning away from his cooking.

He was making Japanese style fluffy pancakes. A recipe he got from Jisoo's mom a month back. He wanted her 16th birthday to be special since her parents will be in Japan visiting her sick aunt for another week.

"She's been crying all night." Taehyung mumbled, sitting at the table. "I think she's still in bed."

"She's been crying?" Namjoon asked, suddenly worried.

The look of concern showed on all of their faces after Taehyung said that. Why would she be crying? Especially on her birthday?

Taehyung nodded. "In fact, she had been crying for the past couple of days. Something about a rabbit named Honey? I don't know."

"Oh no." Jungkook nearly gasped, knowing exactly what he was talking about. Which gave him the attention of everyone.

"What?"

"Honey was her pet rabbit." Jungkook answered a bit saddened. "She was old and sick, she must have finally passed. I'll be right back."

He suddenly stood up and rushed back to the room, baffling everyone. They knew how close Jungkook and Jisoo were hut still. How come they never knew of this?

Not that they had to know everything about her life. But they still wanted to help in some way.

Meanwhile, Jisoo wiped the tears from her puffy eyes as she rose up from bed. It was her birthday and it wa already a bad day. A bad week, actually. She was going to put on a brave face for today so that she wouldn't bring anyone down.

She was supposed to be happy today and that's what shes gonna be. Despite being hurt.

Just as she was climbing out of bed, in comes Jungkook. She looked at him and he gave her a very sorry look, which only made her cry silently again.

Jungkook walked over to her and hugged her. He knew how much Honey meant to her. Given how much she would talk about her all the time.

If he had a pet that he was this close to, he would also be this distraught about it.

He said nothing as he hugged her, letting her lean in his arms as they sat on the bed.

Later on, the boys all tried to cheer her up the best way that they can. They were able to get her out of the dorm and were also able to get a few smiles out of her but they knew she was still thinking about her Honey.

Sometime during the day, the group decided to go to Han River after taking Jisoo to one of her favorite restaurant. But Yoongi decided to go back to their dorm.

"You're not coming with us?" Jisoo asked, wondering why he suddenly didn't want to go.

Yoongi nonchalantly shrugged at her.
"I'm just feeling tired, that's all." He said.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked, worried that he might be sick.

Yoongi chuckled a little. She always cared more about others than herself and he was grateful for that.

"No, I'm just not feeling it right now." He promised. "Besides, I have something to get before the day ends."

"Okay, well see you back at home." She said, feeling a little disappointed but she didn't want him to know that.

After he separated from the group, Yoongi asked their manager Sejin to drive him a bit out of Seoul, going into Gwanju.

Them being at Han River gave him just 4 hours to pick up this thing and get home before they got there first.

Thank God there wasn't any traffic. Otherwise, he would be screwed.

Yoongi knew someone in Gwanju who ran an exotic animal shelter. He had lizards, snakes, birds, and any other domesticated animal you can adopt.

A couple of days prior to her birthday, Yoongi called him in secret to adopted a baby marmoset monkey or finger monkey in his shop.

The original owner was moving out of the country and wanted to place it for adoption at a place he could trust.

So Yoongi, originally hoping for another bunny, decided on the moneky instead. They weren't strangers to different animals being in their dorm.

Jin has two sugar gliders.

He could've gone the cliche way and bought a puppy but Jisoo was no ordinary girl and he thought ordinary was too boring.

After picking up the monkey and the instructions on how to take care of him, courtesy of the previous owner, he high tailed it back to the dorm. Luckily, no one was home yet.

After spending a lot of time with the boys, they all decided to go home. The group gave Jisoo her gifts at Han River. Which were nothing too crazy. They were still a new group.

But she was happy and grateful, nonetheless.

"Yoongi! We're home!" Jin announced as everyone walked in.

Only to be met with silence, everyone just assumed that he was asleep.

"He must be asleep." Namjoon said, taking off his shoes.

Jimim pouted. "Aww, I wanted to show him the kumamon plushie! See? It's so fluffy."

He held up the huge plushie that was his favorite character. Jimin really looked adorable holding it.

Jisoo laughed a little with the rest. "I'll go check on him." She said, making her way to the recording room.

When she got there, she heard soft music playing. So he must be in there working on music. Softly knocking, she made her presence known.

"Come in!" He called out.

She opened the door, revealing Yoongi, who was sitting on the couch, holding something in his hands.

It looked like a small animal. She couldn't tell what it was because of the dimmed lights.

Yoongi smiled at her, gesturing her to sit next to him. "Good, you're here."

Jisoo smiled back a little, closing the door behind her and sitting next to him.

"What is that?" She asked, peering over his covered hands.

"Well, originally, I was going to get you a new bunny because I kept hearing how much you missed Honey." Yoongi shyly explained "But, that plan didn't end well. Given what happened and uh. . . . They were out of bunnies."

Jisoo listened to him with a small smile on her lips. He truly does listen to her. Even when it seemed like he wasn't.

That was very sweet of him.

"But I know a guy in Gwanju who owns an exotic animal shelter and he tipped me in on a marmoset monkey or finger monkey, so here."

Jisoo nearly gasped as he revealed the small finger monkey in his hands.

It had been asleep but as soon as Yoongi moved, its little eyes opened up and looked right at her.

It was so cute, she felt like crying.

"Its a boy and he doesn't have a name." Yoongi added quietly as she reached out for him.

Now fully away, the monkey looked at Jisoo and tilted his head to the side before hopping into her hand.

Right then and there, Jisoo gasped at how small he was.

Judging by the happy expression in her eyes, Yoongi knew she fell in love.

"Happy birthday, Jisoo."

Jisoo felt happy tears fall down her face as the little monkey hung onto her dainty finger, making little noises will staring at her.

Overwhelmed by the emotions she was feeling, she started crying. Which freaked out Yoongi.

"I-If you don't like him, I can always take him back. It's no big deal-"

"I'm crying because he's so perfect." She said with a shaky voice. "I'm so happy, I just can't help but cry."

"Yaah, don't cry, kid!" He playfully groaned. "It freaks me out!"

Jisoo laughed a little, giving him a hug. Which made him freeze a little. He wasn't quite used to her hugging him despite the times they've hugged before.

He just still wasn't used to the skinship yet.

But he still hugged her back. Because it made her happy.

She pulled away, flashing the brightest smile he had ever seen.

His heart skipped a couple of beats at the sight of her blue eyes shining seemingly lighter.

"Thank you so much, oppa."

Yoongi couldn't help but slowly smile back. His cheeks feeling very hot and his heart beating super fast. He was extremely happy that she was happy.

"I'm glad you're happy, kid."
