I was so excited for my date with Mikey. I had been looking forward to it all week. I had a feeling that he was a good guy, and I was excited to get to know him better.
I got ready and waited for him to come pick me up. When he arrived, I was waiting outside. He looked really cute, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Hey," he said, flashing a charming grin.
"Hey," I said back, trying to hide my excitement.
We got in the car and drove to the restaurant. The conversation was easy and natural, and we were both laughing and having a good time.
"So," he said, "I was thinking we could go to that new Italian place that just opened up. It's supposed to be really good."
"That sounds great," I said. "I love Italian food."
"Me too," he said. "I'm always up for a good pasta dish."
As we arrived at the restaurant, I noticed how cute and cozy it looked, especially with the warm lights glowing from the windows. We were seated at a table near the window, and after ordering our food and drinks, we dove into conversation.
"So," he said, leaning in a little, "tell me about yourself. What do you do for fun?"
"Well," I said, feeling a bit shy but excited to share, "I love photography. I spend a lot of my weekends exploring new places and capturing moments. I also enjoy hiking and trying out new recipes in the kitchen."
"That's awesome!" he replied. "I've always admired people who can capture beauty through a lens. Maybe you could take some photos for me sometime?"
"Definitely! I'd love that," I said. "And what about you? What do you do?"
"I work as an editor for Will's YouTube channel," he said. "It's a lot of fun, but it can be pretty demanding. I also hit the gym regularly and focus on healthy eating."
"Wow, that sounds really interesting! I love wills videos they're hilarious! You must have some great stories from working with him."
"Oh, for sure!" Mikey laughed. "You wouldn't believe the behind the scenes chaos especially with him and James.but it's all worth it when you see the final product."
We continued to share stories about our lives, our families, and our dreams. The more we talked, the more I felt a connection growing between us.
After dinner, we decided to take a walk in the park. The night was beautiful, and the stars twinkled above us.
"This is nice," he said, glancing at me with a warm smile. "I'm really having a good time."
"Me too," I replied, feeling a flutter in my chest.
We walked in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying the fresh air. Then, I turned to him and asked, "So, what's your favorite healthy meal?"
"I'd have to say grilled chicken with quinoa and veggies. Simple but so good! What about you? Any favorite dishes you like to photograph?"
"Oh, I love capturing colorful salads or desserts! There's something so satisfying about making food look beautiful," I said, my enthusiasm shining through.
Finally, Mikey took me home. We stood outside for a moment, both a little hesitant to say goodbye.
"I had such a great time tonight," he said, looking into my eyes.
"Me too," I said, smiling widely. "Let's definitely do this again."
"Absolutely," he replied, leaning in for a quick hug.
As he drove away, I went inside and smiled to myself, feeling a warmth in my heart. I couldn't wait to see him again.
