๊œฑแด›แด€ษดแด…ษชษดษข in front of three rocks covered with sheets, Atreus looks to Valen. "Okay.." He says softly, looking at the shrine before Angrboda uncovered them. "Iv'e seen this before.. where we scattered mother's ashes." Atreus said as he looked at his shrine. "It was on the wall. Everything had happened already. Just the way it said." He then moved to his last shrine rock.

"But this part was damaged-" He began. "There's us, what's in the bag?" He questioned an image on him and Angrboda. "Huh.. I wonder who he is. Wait.." Atreus knelt down to look at another image, caressing his hand over it. "No.. no. That's not right.." Valen leaned down to look at the image, her breath hitching.

"Is that.. Kratos?" She whispered, looking at Atreus. "That can't be what happens." Atreus said, looking at another image to see him pushing away someone, who looked to be Valen, and then him standing with Odin.ย  "Oh no... no no no no." Atreus stands up and turns away in panic. "This isn't real. Ironwood's not real. The Utangard's not real, NONE of this is real!" He yelled, holding his head.

Valen tried to grab his arm, only to be shoved away. She fell to the ground as Atreus turned into a wolf, growling at Angrboda. "Loki! Loki! Hey! Hey! Woah.. you're okay! Calm down!" Angrboda told him as he clawed at his shrine, the wolf looking at her with a growl. "Hey.. hey.. breath. Breath.."

Atreus became calm, Angrboda placing her hands softly on his face before he transformed back into his normal self. "It's okay. You're fine." Angrboda told him as he sat up. "Sorry." He apologized. "No, don't worry about it! It happens to everyone." "That? Happens to everyone?" "Well, not the wolf part, but getting worried about your future." Angrboda told him. The two continued arguing.

"Woah, what happened? You good?" Another male voice was heard, Angrboda and Atreus turning to see another guy, also their age, helping up Valen. "Who are you?" Atreus asked, moving to grab Valen. "It's okay Loki, this is Valkeryi. He's.." Angrboda looked to the guy with a small smile, hesitating. "My best friend, kind of like you and Eris." Valen looked at her confused. "Why do you keep calling me that??" Valkeryi pat Valen's shoulder.

"I guess she hasn't seen her shrine yet?" Angrboda shook her head. "Would you mind leading us to it?" She asked. "Not at all, follow me." Valkeryi led the three into the forest.

Coming into a large clearing, two rocks sat in the middle, also covered in sheets like Atreus' had been. Valen paused in front of them. "I.. have a shrine..?" Valkeryi nodded, smiling. "Of course you do! Everyone has a future. Ready to take a look?" Valen slowly nodded, Angrboda gesturing for Atreus to back away with her.

Valkeryi uncovered the rocks, backing away to stand by Angrboda. He smiled down at her, the girl blushing.

Valen looked at her shrine carefully, placing her hand on an image on a little girl with two adults, their hands on her shoulders. She smiled, her lips quivering slightly before she looked down at the other images. They led to where she first met Atreus and then to the other rock, which she stood in front of as she looked at it. She blushed when she saw an image of what looked like her and Atreus, the two holding hands.

The images led on to show her finding new power, and.. growing wings and horns? It showed a dragon beside her, and three dogs. Perhaps that was one of her new powers, but she didn't know.

However, her smile quickly turned into a frown when she saw the same image that was on Atreus' shrine of him pushing her away and joining Odin. But, that wasn't all.. She found another image, a very depressing one. She put her hand over it, seeing herself laying down at what seemed to be Asgard, her figure showing..

Death..

Valen slowly backed away from it, rubbing her eyes to make sure she was seeing correctly. "Something wrong?" Valkeryi questioned, coming up to stand beside her and looked at the shrine. "Oh my.." He whispered, putting a hand on the girl's shoulder. "I'm so sorry." He told her, Valen looking at the ground with teary eyes. "What's wrong?" Atreus asked, coming to crouch in front of Valen's shrine.

"No.. not you too." He muttered, standing and turning to Valen who looked at him with a quivering smile. Atreus hugged her close to him, sniffling. "I can't lose you too." He whispered, holding the back of her head. Valen hugged him back, softly sobbing into his neck. Angrboda and Valkeryi looked at each other, frowning.

The two pulled away from each other, Valen running off with soft cries. Atreus looked to Angrboda, who walked up to him. "Go after her." She urges softly, smiling. "Before you go, man-" Valkeryi stopped Atreus. "Is there anything you need to get off your chest to her?" Atreus slowly nods. "Y-yeah.. but..-" "Tell her. This might be the best chance you'll. Calm before the storm." Atreus nodded, muttering a thank you before running in the direction Valen ran off to.

Finding his way, he comes across what seemed to be a steep cliff. He saw Valen sitting there by the edge, her head down.

When he came closer, he found she had grown the horns she had in her image as Eris, the golden chains dangling from the one set of horns on the sides of her head.

Sitting beside her, he sniffled, looking out into the horizon of sunny skies before looking at her. "We'll get through this." He whispered, his voice cracking. "How do you know that?" She told him harshly. "Everything Iv'e lived for.. just to be thrown away. And by you? How can you be so sure?" She paused, looking at him with red and tear-filled eyes. "You heard Angrboda. Our Prophecy's are written in stone. There's no changing them."

"That's not true-" "YOU DON'T KNOW THAT!" Valen stood up, backing away in anger. "You can't decide for us! It's not how it works! Your father is going to die, I'm going to die, everything we have together will be thrown away, and you'll join Odin! That's how it's going to go!" Valen yelled, Atreus jumping up to walk towards her with his hands out. "You don't understand-"

"I think I do!" The girl yelled, wings sprouting from her back and widening to her full length.ย  Atreus backed up a little, falling quiet. Valen slumped, looking at the ground again before her back. "I-It's written in stone.. Atrey trey. This-" She gestures to her wings and horns. "Proves it.."

The girl walked back towards the edge of the cliff, looking out with tears falling down her face. "I wish it wasn't written like this.. I wish it was written with a happy ending, too. I wish I could.." She trailed off, Atreus coming to stand next to her. He looked at her, tilting his head. "I wish I could be with you. But, I guess life doesn't work like that." Valen finished, looking into his eyes.

Atreus turned so he was facing her fully, Valen doing to same. The boy glanced down at her lips, leaning closer to her slowly.

He then closed the gap, grabbing her hands to pull her against him.

Valen's wings spread out to glide with the wind, her eyes closing as she sunk into Atreus. The boy wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling away to lean his forehead against hers. With their eyes still closed, they stood there in silence.

"Before it's too late, I want you to know.." Atreus whispered. "I love you. I always will, and I always have." He told her, brushing his lips against hers softly before fully pulling away to look into her eyes. Valen smiled, nodding. "I love you too." She told him. "We're going to change this, all right? Prophecy or not. I'm spending the rest of my time with you." Atreus told her with confidence, grabbing her hand to lead her back.

"Whatever you say."
