"Okay, so favorite color?" Mickey asked, leaning back on the bench and stretching his legs out in front of him.

"(f/c)" I responded, taking a small sip of my water. While ordering, the two of us quickly realized that it was far too hot outside to be getting coffee. And neither of us thought of ordering an iced one...so we ended up just getting water instead.

"Lame. You're not going to ask me for mine?"

"Why would I do that?" I asked with an innocent smile.

"I dunno, I bought you a water. I figured that made us friends, at least."

I raised up the paper cup that held my water "Mickey, this was free. You paid for jack shit."

"Ooh, so vulgar." He winced, sliding down on the bench a bit. His legs were now taking up half of the sidewalk, forcing people to either step over him, or walk around. Mickey muttered an apology to everyone he inconvenienced, but he never bothered to move.

"Mm, so Mister Altieri," I started, leaning forward on the bench and resting my elbows on my knees "I do have a question for you."

"Shoot!" He said with a nod, mimicking my posture.

"Are you and that Randy guy friends, or what?"

Mickey frowned, seeming to think about it

"Oh, ouch, you paused? Hesitation?" A voice came from behind us, the familiar face of Randy Meeks coming between our conversation both metaphorically and literally.

Mickey scowled, smacking the side of Randy's head hard enough to cause a loud knocking sound.

"OW- What was that for, snot-rag?" Randy hissed, holding the place of impact as he walked around the bench and in front of us, plopping down on the sidewalk. In his free hand was a coffee, the steam from the lid coming out in a foggy pattern. Gross. He was actually drinking hot liquids on a day like this? What a freak.

"For interrupting." Mickey snarked "And yes, (Y/N), me and Meeks here are friends AND what. I like to think of him as my mortal enemy in film class, and a buddy out of class."

"That's me!" Randy chimed in, raising up his cup "So what are you guys doing out here? Having a date or something?"

I looked down at Randy, unamused. I briefly debated on kicking his drink out of his hands...it was tempting

"We're having coffee." I answered.

"Doesn't look like you're having coffee." Randy shot back. "Looks like water."

"I'm this close to shoving my cup down your throat."

"I bet you can't even spell coffee." The guy narrowed his eyes in a challenge.

"Of course I can," Wait, could I? "It's c-o-f-f-e."

Randy snickered "Dumbass! You can't spell."

"Well, you spell it, then!" I cried, kicking my leg towards him, who scooted out of my reach.

"Yeah- it's c-...c-o-f-f-e. Wait, no, that's what you said. C-o-f-e? No, it's c-o-f-e-e!" Randy held up a hand in a victory pose, before frowning and furrowing his brows, rubbing at the strange little fuzz on his chin "Wait a minute-"

Mickey let out a laugh, bringing up that same camera I noticed when I first met him, swirling it back and forth between me and Randy as we spoke "Ooh, don't mind me, ladies, keep going." He crooned softly.

"I'm going to shove that thing down your throat." I muttered, pushing the camera away from my face.

"Okay, what is it with your comebacks involving shoving things down people's throats?" Mickey snorted, raising a brow as he jerked his hand back and shoved the camera back in my face "That's a little too sexual for my liking."

"Get that stupid camera out of my face, or else." I warned.

"Ooh~ sassy side character steps up, what's she gonna do?" Randy hummed from his place on the ground.

I glanced at him before grabbing Mickey's camera out of his hand, jerking it until the strap around his wrist snapped in half. He gave a cry, looking offended- but I held the camera away and threw the remnants of my water in his face.

"OH, OH- SO COLD-! YOU BASTARD" He screeched, pulling up the bottom of his shirt and wiping the water off of his face.

"Haha!" Randy cackled from the sidewalk, holding up his coffee in a toast "I like you (Y/N)!"

I opened my mouth to say something back. Maybe some insult. But before I could speak, a wave of water hit me in the face, mostly getting thrown into my mouth and dribbling down my shirt

"Oh- fu-" I gagged, coughing out the water "Mickey, you son of a-"

Mickey grinned, holding up his camera- when did he even grab it out of my hands??

"Watch your language, (Y/N), I'm trying to make this family friendly."
