"I'm the only one who understands you!"

*scratch*

"I love you!"

*splat*

The moon looked down at the floor which was now stained with his blood.

"*mumble*...'Don't talk to them', he said. 'I'm the only one who understands you', he said. What more is he gonna say?"

Astro threw the ichor-covered blade onto his bed.

"It's all my fault."

He cried, wrapping himself in his blanket. The only object giving him a sense of security.

...Guess he'll have to wash the blanket himself this time.

[Timeskip]

An already angry flower bit his finger as he watched Vee talking to Astro through a camera.

"Since when was he allowed to talk to her?"

He frowned even further as Vee stared directly at the camera he was looking at as if to challenge him.

'Ha. Let's see if you'll still be smug later.'

Dandy thought as he went back to his elevator shop and pulled the lever.

*ding*

The toons walked onto the next floor. Oddly, it feels more eerie and chilly, with a distorted music box version of the normal Claire De Lune playing rather than the normal ambient piano that usually plays when Dandy comes up with his shop. Now that they think about it, it was the same music that played just before Dandy went down his shop a floor ago.

"..."

Astro crouched down in despair because he already knew what was gonna happen. The current toons on his team had never not bought from Dandy's Shop. Never. It was only now that they tried that.

He wished he could tell them. He really did. But all he did was freeze up and start crying in despair, knowing what was to become of his f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶.

Quiet sobs came from the moon, as one by one his f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ went down. Until it was all quiet again.

*ding*

"..."

Astro looked up from his blanket that was now stained with black, ichor-like tears. (Guys, he's changing)

They finished the last generator.

*clack*

"So...what happened out there?"

Dandy leaned on the table of his shop, pretending not to know what happened. He's just make more versions of them later, anyways. Nobody had to know.

"..."

Astro stared back at the flower with empty eyes, not buying his act. No, he's done that so many times every time he'd go and talk to a single toon.  And he'd just be making more copies of them. He'd have to watch them die, over

"Oh, come on. Won't you say something?"

Dandy dropped the act and frowned, pushing back from his position on the table.

"Why..."

Astro whispered.

"Why...? Why, for entertainment, Astro! Don't you feel like you've been talking to them too much? The toons up there still don't know what happened to your precious f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s̶. How do you think they'll react when they find out you did nothing to help them, huh? How about it? What if I don't bring them back?"

Dandy grinned as the moon turned away in shame.

"...f-fine..."

The moon looked the side with a petrified expression.

"Now then, shall I send you back up? I'll make sure no toons are in the lobby so your little secret is safe with me!"

The flower smiled sweetly (like the hypocrite he is) as he pushed the button for his shop to go back down, leaving the Astro with his thoughts as he felt the elevator go up.

[Timeskip]

*blerghhh*

The moon frowned as he fell to his knees and wiped his mouth with his blanket, causing it to be stained with ichor once again.

"I just washed this..."

Astro sighed as he pushed himself to stand up despite his body's protest.

*crash*

"Owieeee...oh, hey, Astro. Um...are doing okay? I think I ran into you too hard..."

A hand reached into Astro's line of sight as he was recovering from the fall.

"Y-yeah...I'm fine."

Astro stood up, ignoring shell's hand and walking away.

"A-are you sure you're gonna be fine...? You're limping quite a bit..."

She furrowed her brows, catching up to him.

"I said I'm fine."

Astro once again denied Shelly's concerns.

"Oh. Alright, then! Have a good rest of your day, Astro!"

Shelly smiled as she walked away. She knew better than to keep pestering someone if they denied everything.
