Second Person POV
You side eyed Katsuki from across the classroom, watching intently as he scribbled down the notes that Aizawa was writing on the board. He looked so focused, the way that his eyes darted from the notes back to his paper and the way he clenched his jaw without even realizing it.
Your doting gaze was interrupted when you felt a pair of eyes practically burning into your skull. Embarrassing enough, Aizawa was subtly staring at you, hoping that you would notice him and get back to work.
You just hoped that Katsuki didn't have the same "staring instincts" that you had, it would be totally humiliating if he could feel you stare at him, only for him to ignore it.
As Aizawa eventually wrapped up his lesson, Mina had already gotten to chatting up beside you.
"-It was almost as if he was asking me to slap him in the face! Literally, where do men even get the audacity?" She scoffed, looking down at you while you clipped your notes into your binder and shook your head in disbelief at her story.
Katsuki walked up from behind you, waiting for you to walk back to the dorms with him like usual.
"Hey, Y/N, how about you come hang out with me and some of the girls at my dorm later? We're gonna do our homework together, Ochako is bringing snacks!" Mina smiled as you stood up next to her.
You looked over at Katsuki and shrugged a little, "Well... I was kind of planning on going back to the dorms with Katsuki, maybe another time?"
You tried to reject Minas offer when the ash blonde strongly gripped your shoulder. "No," he pointed a finger at Mina, "Stay right here." You were dragged away from your pink haired friend to an empty spot in the classroom.
"Don't do that," He firmly stated, narrowing his eyes at you.
"Do what...?" You pulled his hand off of your shoulder and tilted your head.
"Don't prioritize me like that, we walk together every fuckin' day. This is what happened last time, Y/N, you accidentally push people away because you think you need to prioritize one singular person. You gotta stop pulling that shit."
You let his words set in your head, he sounded so harsh. "You don't want to walk with me...?" You asked quietly as the boy raised his eyebrows.
"No, you idiot! That's- That's not what I meant! I'm just looking out for you!" He watched as you picked at your elbow in a confused state. He peaked past your shoulder to see Mina looking over at the two of you, patiently waiting for you to come back.
"What I'm trying to explain is that you need to branch out so that you don't lose contact with people," He tried to put it softly so that you wouldn't get offended.
"Oh," You looked over at Mina before turning to face him again, "But, I don't want you to be lonely."
"I'm not gonna be fucking lonely! I'm almost an adult, I can walk places by myself y'know? Just come to my dorm after, but go fuck around for a bit, just don't do any stupid shit." He grabbed you by your shoulders and turned you around before pushing you in Minas direction.
"Uhm, ok, I guess?" You smiled at him before walking back towards your pink haired friend, "Thanks! I think?" Katsuki rolled his eyes at you before grabbing his backpack and making his way out of the almost empty classroom.
"What was that all about?" Mina giggled as she looked at your confused expression.
"I think he was trying to help me realize that I don't need to prioritize him in front of others? I don't really know, do you think he's mad at me? I didn't think there would ever be a time where he would quite literally push me away like that?" You scoffed as you and Mina started to walk towards the door.
"I think it's just because he knows how it feels to be the second choice," Mina laughed lightly when you looked at her in shock.
"Are you calling yourself my second choice? Don't say that! That's not true!" You stopped dead in your tracks, a small bit of guilt biting at your gut.
"Y/N, do you take me for a fool? Katsuki has always been your number one, and he always will be! Just like you're his first choice too! I'm not offended, believe me, I don't think anyone can permanently get between the two of you. Trust me, I understand, and one day you will too!" She whispered the last part with a small smirk.
"I don't think there should be any sort of placing, I don't want to put people over others..." You huffed lightly and realized now that what Bakugou was trying to explain to you was right.
"Stop getting all sappy, let's go find the others, I didn't think that would affect you so much-" Mina grabbed your arm and laughed at the visible worry in your face.
When you and Mina arrived at her dorm, the rest of the group seemed to have already made themselves comfortable.
"You guys are slowpokes, it took you long enough!" Jirou laughed.
"Hey! You got Y/N to join us, that's great! The more the merrier!" Uraraka smiled and dropped her pencil to wave at you.
You greeted everyone before sitting down and yanking your homework from your bag so that you could get started.
Time seemed to slip by slowly as everyone chatted together and helped each other with their work. Yet, you couldn't stop thinking about what Katsuki might be up to right now.
"Earth to Y/N-" Momo politely waved her hand in front of you to grab your attention. "Yeah?" A smile was quick to light up your face. "Do you need help? It looks like you've been stuck on that last problem there for a bit," She hummed.
You looked down at your paper, apparently you had been dazed out for a little bit now, the problem wasn't even that hard, you just weren't a fan of math, and when things got boring your mind tended to wander.
"Oh! No, sorry, I was just zoning out," You turned to focus back on your paper.
"Whatcha thinking about over there, Y/N? Or should I say who?" Mina asked from across her room with a smug look on her face, "You zoning 'bout boning?"
The last question caused your jaw to fall slack and elicited a couple of gasps or giggles from the girls around you. "Mina! What the hell?! Don't say stuff like that! You're gross!"
"I'm just saying- plus it's not like everyone else in this room hasn't done that before!" Mina raised her eyebrows at everyone, causing the rest of the girls to go silent in embarrassment.
"Seriously, Mina?" Uraraka squeaked, pinching the bridge of her noise in half disappointment.
"You're lucky, Y/N! You practically have it made out for you, beneath his rough exterior, Bakugou is like everyone's ideal boyfriend," Mina teased while the others seemed to actually agree.
"Wh- What are you talking about?" You stammered.
"I think you know what she's saying..." Hagakure giggled.
"Don't say stuff like that, he's my best friend, I don't think he even thinks about me that way-" You sweatdropped and tried not to show how embarrassed you were.
"Are you implying that you think about him that way?" Tsuyu questioned.
"No! Why are you guys interrogating me like this?" You squealed and sat up, trying to find a way to weasel out of the situation at hand.
"Just stop it already! I just went through a break up, geez!" You stood up with your stuff, putting on an upset facial expression causing everyone to frown, realizing they might've taken it a bit too far.
Without a second thought, you turned around and stormed out of Minas dorm, closing the door gently behind you. The teasing was starting to make you sick.
