Y/N's POV:

The moment Shinso stepped out of my dorm room and closed the door behind him I fell to my knees and buried my face in my hands. How could he make me feel this way? Is it bad that we kissed the same day he asked me out? What if we're moving too fast and he backs out? A million thoughts ran through my head, some good and some bad.

How would I break the news to Bakugou? I lifted my face from my hands and plopped down onto my bed, taking off my shoes and tossing them next to my door. An overly dramatic sigh escaped my lips as another million thoughts ran through my head.

Would this affect my friendship with Katsuki? I lay down on my bed and curl over.

'Come on Y/N, you have to calm down.'

I got back up and walked over to my bag, digging through its pockets trying to find my phone. Once I retrieved it, I turned it on to see a missing text from Katsuki.

Asshole ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I'm not busy anymore, where r u?

Wanna to hang out after dinner?

Y/N

Sorry, I was with Hitoshi

But yes I want to hang out with u after dinner, I need to talk to u about something

I replied, holding my breath as I sent the last message. Should I be telling him this early? I reopened my phone to check if he responded but no luck, he left me on read. Maybe I should ask the other girls for advice?

I guess they were also right about Shinso liking me in the first place.

Bakugou stared at the screen of his phone, contemplating what your last message could mean. He began to think about the past few days, wondering if he did something wrong, but as he thought about it he couldn't think of anything too mean.

He decided to just turn off his phone and wait until dinner came to see what you had to say. Hopefully it isn't that serious, but the two of you don't always have deep conversations, and when you, do neither of you ask to have them, which was why he was worried.

Meanwhile, you organized your desk out of nervousness. There was no reason for you to be this worked up. After all, if Katsuki was truly your best friend, than he would support you with the decisions you make in life.

You figured that if he doesn't support you, then it is a red flag and you should not be friends with someone who doesn't, ignoring the fact that Katsuki is a walking red flag himself.

You kept cleaning your room, despite the fact that you started out of nervousness, you decided to keep going since your room was long overdue for some care. You had organized your desk, some shelves, and were going to organize your closet before you realized that you should probably get ready to head down to the dining area for dinner. You grabbed your phone, checking once again for any notifications, but there was still nothing.

Gathering your stuff, you shoved your phone into your pocket and left your dorm room, heading down the hallway. On the way to the elevator you crossed paths with Mina, you wanted to tell her about what happened with Shinso but you would rather tell Katsuki first, because like you said a while back, he will always be your number one.

You and Mina entered the common room, breathing in the delicious smell of whatever was being cooked in the kitchen. Spotting Katsuki from across the room, you crept up behind him and grabbed onto his shoulders, attempting to jump scare him.

"DENKI, I SWEAR TO FUCK-" He stopped screaming once he realized it was just you.

"What did I do???" Denki whined from across the room, causing you to laugh.

"You idiot!" Bakugou growled at you.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it-" You laughed, patting his shoulder as he furrowed his eyebrows. He shrugged you off and grabbed a bowl of udon, watching as you got yourself your own bowl.

"Weren't you even a little bit scared?" You poked, following him over to a table.

"I don't get scared," He grumbled, obviously lying.

"You keep telling yourself that." You sat, down next to him.

"What doesn't kill you, disappoints me." He rolled his eyes as he took a bite of his noodles.

"Hey wait- that one was mean." You frowned, half-joking. Before he could respond, the rest of the Bakusquad sat down around you guys, all of them chatting about something. Bakugou just glared at all of them and continued to aggressively eat his meal.

Denki leaned in closer to everyone, "Sooo, hows everybody's day been?" He grinned.

"It's been good, same as usual, got to hang out with Katsuki earlier," Kirishima said, giving a thumbs up.

"It's alright, I have homework to catch up on though," Sero sighed.

"Mine's been great!" Mina beamed, "Y/N, Bakugou?" She asked, looking to both of you for an answer.

"My day's been really great, thank you for asking." You smiled, turning to Katsuki.

"It's been fine," He grumbled after hesitating.

Everyone talked until they finished their food, cleaning up and leaving the dining area one by one. You, on the other hand, stayed to help with dishes, so you took a moment longer.

Meanwhile, Katsuki sat on a couch in the common room, bouncing his leg in anticipation. He was beyond eager to hear what you needed to tell him.

Eventually, you finished up and walked over to where he was slouching into the couch, standing in front of him.

"What is it?" He asked, sitting up.

"Can we go somewhere more private?" You asked, giving a light smile to help ease your emotions.

"Yeah, whatever." He stood up, following you over to the elevator. Some part of Bakugou was hoping that this would be the moment you confessed your undying love to him, even though his confidence in that idea was beginning to get flimsy after he thought about it too much.

You led him out of the elevator and down the hallway to your dorm, letting the both of you inside, to where he jumped onto your bed.

"So?" He asked, trying to get this show on the road.

"I know you don't like talking about this stuff, but you're my best friend, so I wanted you to be the first one to find out," You said, fiddling with your thumbs. He just tilted his head as a way of telling you to keep going.

"You know Hitoshi? Of course you know Hitoshi, you met him today, sorry-" You stumbled over your words anxiously. The name Hitoshi was enough for Katsuki's heart drop into his stomach, he already knew this had nothing to do with him.

"Yeah well, he asked me out today when I was at his dorm, and I said yes-" Your voice trailed off as you looked at the ash blonde for a reaction.

The world seemed to slow around the ash blonde as he could feel his stomach tie itself into a tight knot. He didn't know what he was expecting, but it wasn't that.

To BOTH of your surprises, he kept a straight face. "That's cool, but why did you need to tell me in secret?" he shrugged, playing it off like none of the words that just came from your mouth affected him.

Of course, it was all a front, on the inside he was crushed. Thoughts of Shinso replacing him had plagued his mind. "I wasn't sure how you would react and I just wanted to tell you that you will always be my number one, and I really hope that me and Hitoshi dating doesn't affect our friendship," You blurted out.

He laughed mockingly, pretending like your worries were nothing. Even if he knew that you dating Hitoshi would affect everything. "Why would it change anything? You're my- best friend. Plus, I knew you liked him anyway," He shrugged.

"You knew?!?!" You could feel your face heat up in embarrassment.

"From the fucking start," He replied with a smirk.

"That's embarrassing. But I'm glad you took it well," You sighed in relief and jumped onto the bed next to him.

"I'm just glad he makes you happy," He said. You looked up at him and were in awe as you bounced up and down on your knees, "Why can't you always be this soft?!" You whined.

Saying that caused a scowl to appear on his face again, "If I throw a stick will you leave?" He growled, shaking you off his arm.

"Aw, it was nice while it lasted," You sighed dramatically causing him to scoff.

"What do you wanna do?" You asked, leaning on him.

"I dunno, it feels later than it really is." He looked at your clock that displayed 8:16 pm.

"Yeah, I guess, wanna go see what the others are up to?" You asked, tugging his sleeve.

"I'm gonna go to bed," He said, looking over at you.

"Oh yeah, I forgot that you sleep early." You made fun of him.

"Well at least I have energy that lasts me the day," He retaliated, shoving you off of him and standing up.

"Really? You don't act like it," You grumbled, sitting back up.

"I hope both sides of your pillow are hot." He flipped you off and put on his shoes.

"Goodnight, you jerk," You smiled.

"Screw you," He responded, walking out of your dorm room. The moment he closed your door, he let his front down and yanked on his hair, taking a deep breath. He stood there for a moment before mumbling curse words under his breath and making his way to his dorm.

He stormed down the hallway glaring at the floor until he made it so his dorm room, making his way inside only to angrily throw himself onto his bed. Why didn't he confess to you while he had the chance?

He rolled over onto his stomach and pulled his pillow over the back of his head, breathing into his mattress. He could feel a tear slip down his nose which upset him even more. He rarely cries, this whole situation was killing him.

Just as he was about to sit up, his dorm room door flung open, revealing a smiling Denki, which turned into a confused Denki after taking one look at Bakugou's state. Bakugou quickly hid his face, "HAVEN'T YOU HEARD OF KNOCKING YOU LITTLE SHIT?" He growled.

"SORRY!" He yelped in a frightened manner. Denki quickly sped out of his room, quickly closing the door behind him.

Bakugou rolled over on his side. Thank god he didn't have his lights on, he didn't want Denki to see him like this. He didn't want anyone to see him like this. Yet, much to his surprise, there was a light knock on his door seconds later. "I'm sleeping, fuck off," He grumbled, why is it now that people suddenly need to talk to him? Despite his demands, the door creaked open once again.

"Bakugou?" He could hear Kirishima whisper to him.

"The fuck you want?" He scowled.

"I came to check on you, Denki said you were grumpier than usual-" He watched Bakugou lay there in silence for a moment.

"I'm just tired. Fuck off," He said, keeping his gaze on the wall beside his bed.

"Ok, tell me if you need anything though." The redhead smiled. Bakugou didn't respond and after a few seconds, Kirishima closed the door and left, leaving Katsuki with his thoughts.
