TIME SKIP, 1 MONTH LATER, YOUR POV
"Hey, what do you think about this one?" I asked, holding up a cute crop top in front of me.
"It's too pink," Katsuki says, crossing his arms and examining the piece of clothing.
"What's wrong with pink?" I examined the shirt in front of me. I guess he was right? Katsuki and I took a mall trip today, even though he doesn't like shopping.
"Kat, remember a few weeks ago when I told you about that friend I went out with?" I asked him, setting the shirt back on its respective hanger.
"Yeah?" He nodded.
"I want you to meet him, maybe you will get along," I smiled at him but he just gave a confused face.
"It's a him?" He blurted out as his arms fell down to his sides.
What does he mean? Is that a bad thing?
"Uh, yeah?" I tilted my head.
"So you're replacing me??" He crossed his arms once again and turned to glare at the floor.
"Replacing you? What does him being a him have to do with replacing you?" I didn't understand.
"I dunno... it just seems like you want to hang out with him more than me these days..." He whispered the last part, continuing to avoid eye contact. Did Katsuki Bakugou just open up? He genuinely looked a little hurt?
"I'm sorry. I really didn't mean for that to happen, you know you will always be my number one," I apologized, gently reaching up at his shoulder.
"It's fine." He tugged out of my grasp. It wasn't fine.
"Ok..." I spoke softly not wanting to push his emotions. I grabbed his shoulder again before hugging him, which despite us being really close, isn't something we do very often.
It took him a minute before he hugged me back, his arms constricting around me tightly. Felt like he needed this, so I just continued to hold him for a moment.
After a moment he pulled away averted eye contact again, I hope this situation isn't going to keep hurting him. Especially if one day Shinso and I go out. Which I'm not sure of, but I am kind of sure that I have feelings for him, I hope it plays out well.
While Katsuki and I were standing in the check out line, something caught my eye, taro pocky?
Shinso would love that! I reach over onto the shelf of candies and grabbed a box for him, examining it to make sure it had no scratches or openings.
"Since when do you like Taro?" Katsuki asked me, watching me stick the box of pocky's into my shopping bag.
"They're for Shinso, my friend," I responded.
"Oh," He grunted, turning back to the front of the line. Was this some kind of form of silent treatment?
I stopped in my tracks for a moment, remembering the kinds of things I read in stories where one character buys pocky for their loved one. Should I still buy it? I wonder if he's heard of things like the pocky game. I figured I could just buy it anyway, to see how it goes. We went through the checkout line and headed out of the store, back to the dorms.

Katsuki and I walked into his dorm, shoving each other around playfully. "That was fun!" I squealed, referring to our little shopping haul.
Katsuki just nodded and unpacked his new stuff, and by new stuff, I mean the clothes I forced him to buy since he never takes care of himself. 'Claims that his clothes are 'fine,' but then you see what he considers as 'fine' and it's a shirt that has the entire back shredded open or socks that have holes big enough for his toes to stick out of.
I set my bag down in the corner of his room, walking over to his bed and leaping on to it.
"Do you think I'll get along with him?" He asked, he didn't have to mention names, we both knew who he was talking about.
"Your acting like this is some serious situation, you're both my friends, you don't have to get along to still be friends with me," I reassured him but he just looked at me with a blank stare.
"But, I'm honestly not sure. Do you even get along with anyone?" I joked.
"Everyone's stupid," He scowled, joining me on his bed.
"Everyone is not stupid if you give them a chance." I looked over at him as he made himself comfortable next to me.
"I do give people chances, and everyone takes those chances and fucking throws them off a damn bridge!" He crossed his arms while I laughed at him.
"I'll introduce you to him tomorrow. Wanna come do homework with us in the library after school?" I turned over to face him on my side.
He thought for a moment, "Fine," He finally said.
"Hey, I'm not forcing you!" I laughed.
"I know, I know," He grumbled.
"Maybe you can make a new friend?" I suggested.
"I already have you, that's 'nough," He shook his head "I'm too busy for anyone else."
"You're kidding?" I laughed, "That's not true."
"It's too!" He scowled at me causing me to burst into laughter. "You dumbass! Why are you laughing?" He jabbed me with his elbow.
"That's the stupidest excuse I've ever heard!" I wiped my eyes, pushing away his elbow.
"Excuse?!" He looked so clueless.
"Excuse for being antisocial," I giggled.
"I can be fucking... social." He furrowed his eyebrows, obviously offended.
"Oh yeah? Prove it!" I laughed.
"I'll fucking show you, tomorrow I can- make a new friend?" The last part of his sentence came out a higher octave causing me to cackle.
"Alrighty then," I said, still holding back laughter.
He looked at me and scowled, "Fuck you." I laughed at his weak insult and then flicked his forehead.
"We have to go to dinner soon," I said, looking at Katsuki's clock on the wall.
"Fucking finally, I'm starved," He said, happy that the topic was changed.

Katsuki and I walked into the dining area, grabbing food before walking towards our usual table, sitting down.
Katsuki wasted no time before shoveling noodles into his mouth, "Manners!" I swatted at his hand.
"You're one to talk!" He grumbled. Before I could retaliate, Uraraka and Tsuyu sat down next to us.
"Hey guys!" I greeted with a smile.
"Hey, what's up?" Uraraka asked, sitting down.
"Not much," I said, taking a bite of food, "What about you guys?"
"Not much here either," Tsuyu said, digging into her meal.
Hagakure and Mina joined our table, "Hi guys!" They said in unison. Not creepy at all?
"Hey!" I smiled, looking over at Katsuki who seemed annoyed at all the people.
"Have you guys done the homework yet?" Tsuyu asked, taking a bite of her food.
"Mhm," I nodded.
"I'm gonna do it with Momo later," Uraraka said.
"I did mine with Hagakure already," Mina said, motioning to Hagakure.
"Hey! Speaking of homework, Y/N, have you been doing your homework in the library lately?" Mina asked, looking over at me.
"Yeah, why?" I asked, picking at my food.
"So it was you! I told you, Ochako!" she laughed, nudging the brunette.
"I didn't recognize her!" She shrugged. How could she not recognize me? She sees me every day?
"Ok, but you have to tell us, who was that boy you were working with?" Mina said, putting a hand on my shoulder and leaning in.
"Oh, Shinso?" I asked.
"Is that his name?" Mina turned to the other girls, "He's a total hottie!" she squealed.
Both Katsuki and I's eyes widened at her sudden comment and I accidentally inhaled while swallowing my food, causing me to choke a little.
"Really?" Hagakure asked, leaning over the table, all of the girls eyes were on me and I could feel Katsuki shift uncomfortably on the bench.
"I- He's my friend," I said, clearing my throat.
"Friend? Did you see the way he was looking at you?" Mina exclaimed.
"Uh, yeah, he looks at everyone else that way too?" I let out a nervous laugh.
"What does he look like?" Uraraka asked Mina.
"Well he's got purple hair and eyes, broad shoulders, and he's pretty tall!" She described. I looked over at Katsuki who was gripping his fork so hard it looked like it was going to break, he looked like he wanted to die. He never really liked talking about this kind of stuff.
"Really? Sheesh," Hagakure said.
"And you're just friends?" Tsuyu asked.
"Erm, yeah?" I said, looking down at the table trying to avoid eye contact.
"You should ask him out!" Mina suggested.
"Huh?!" My jaw dropped, how could she suggest such a thing?
"Yeah!" She answered calmly, chewing on her food.
"Excuse me for a moment..." I said, standing up.
They all watched as I awkwardly left the cafeteria. I looked at Katsuki to see if he would be looking back at me so maybe I could give him a signal that I was also uncomfortable. Maybe that way he wouldn't feel alone, but he was just staring at the table in front of him. In reality, I just needed to take a moment.
I walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror. Rubbing my eyes, I started the sink water, putting my cupped hands beneath it and splashing myself in the face. I took a couple deep breaths before grabbing a paper towel and drying myself off.
Maybe I should sit here a little while longer before going back out so it seems more realistic? I stood there for a moment and walked around in a circle before walking towards the door and taking a deep breath.
Why did talking about Shinso get me so worked up? I opened up the door and started walking down the hallway, opening up the doors to the cafeteria and looking around. Once I got closer to the group I realized Katsuki had left.
"Where did Katsuki go?" I asked, leaning over the table. His food was gone too.
"He finished his food and left, he probably was sick of sitting here with us without you, I don't know where he went though," Mina shrugged.
I nodded and then sat down to finish my food as fast as possible before I went to go find him.
"I'll see you guys later." I said, standing up and grabbing my tray. All the girls waved and said goodbye as I walked over to the tray stand and dispersed my dirty dishes. Knowing Katsuki, he probably just went to his dorm, so that's exactly where I'm headed.
I arrived at his dorm room door, pressing my ear up to it to see if I could hear him in there. I should probably knock. I lightly tapped on the door just enough for him to hear it.
"Who is it?" I could hear him grumble.
"Y/N!" I responded, opening the door.
"Why'd you knock?" He asked, he was sitting in his desk chair doing homework.
"Because, I wasn't sure if you were here or not," I lied, usually, even if he wasn't here I would invite myself in, because I knew he wouldn't care.
"Why'd you leave?" I asked, standing behind him and throwing my arms around his neck, leaning on him. I looked down at his homework, just plain old math homework.
"I don't like girl talk," He scoffed.
"Girl talk? What's girl talk?" I laughed.
"Feelings," He continued to scribble on his homework as I laughed at him, "'S what Mina calls it."
"Understood, wanna go do something?" I asked, unlatching myself from him and going to sit on his bed.
"First of all, can't you see that I'm doing homework? Dumbass. And second of all, it's getting dark out," He said.
"You do realize that we could just get permission, right?" I asked.
"Yes, but I'd also rather go out during the day," He violently wrote something down on his paper causing it to rip.
"Stupid weak shit paper..." He cursed to himself, smoothing out the paper and putting a tiny piece of tape over it.
"Maybe the paper isn't weak and you're just rough?" I suggested, pulling his blanket over the back of my head.
"That's fucking stupid," He said, writing once again but more gently this time.
