Honestly, it wasn't that good. XD was questioning everything. What is this? A teapot. What is that? A shovel. Why people feel this way? What hurts them emotionally? Why? Why can't they just move on sometimes? Too many questions. He found himself getting more and more interested in humans.

"Yes?" She rolled her eyes playfully, chuckling slightly.
"Not you, dumbass. That's the phrase humans use, just a quote."
"But you're addressing the God. Mortals are weird..." He trailed off.

"So like, you don't feel the emotions we feel so I don't think you'll understand us. I don't know how Foolish is managing it though. Like, maybe you could ask him an advice?"
"You think it'll work?"
"It worth a try I think."
"Alright then, hold my hand."
"Wha? Why?"
"Teleportation." She grabbed one of his hands, his hand was warm. Her vision went dark and she got a little nauseous. Then the brightness quickly replaced the darkness as she peered her eyes open, her feet collided with soft material. The air around her grew hotter. They were in the desert, in front of one of Foolish's grand buildings. It was the version of Sphinx he built. She let go of his hand and started looking around in hopes to find Foolish.
"He'll be here soon."
"How do you know?"
"Telepathy." He answered making the girl raise her eyebrows slightly. Before she could say something, XD moved forward, and she switched her attention forward, seeing a familiar figure approach the duo.

"What a surprise to see you here, DreamXD! Oh, Y/n! Hello!" He walked up to them, smiling brightly, the silver on him glimmering on the sun and blinding her. He patted her shoulder, giving her a sweet smile. She returned the smile, glancing at XD. Foolish was a lot shorter than DreamXD, like really short, and he looked more human. He wore a silver armour designed as a shark with twi emeralds on shark's eyes, over the long khaki cloak with bluish and green patterns. But XD knew how his true form looked like, his current form was human form and Foolish liked it honestly. He felt happy to blend in with humans. He liked them.
"So, Foolish. Could you help me with something?"
"Yeah, what is it?"
"He wants to learn about humans more. I can't quite explain it to him, so could you help out? You have experience with it, as I remember, right?"
"Oh is my brother interested in mortals?" Foolish chuckled and XD nearly rolled his eyes under his mask. "But yeah! I'll be more than glad to help! Would you like to come in?"
"Sure." The girl gave a nod. With that, they entered his palace.

"It'll take you some time to understand them, XD. But to do that, you have to try to live with one of them. I lived with Puffy for a quite while and I adapted to human live. Can you shift to your human form by the way? So you can feel the emotions they feel. It's not possible to be like human and experience what they feel in your...true form." They moved to the private room, away from Y/n.
"Yeah I guess. But is it necessary?"
"It is. You don't want them to fear you, do you, or be alone again?"
"No..."

"See? So choose." XD was silent, suddenly he was engulfed in light golden smoke. When the smoke disappeared, his feet collided with ground, making a slight 'thump'. He shifted to his more... human form, not fully human though. His huge double wings were replaced by smaller pair of them, his halos were still above his head. His long robe became shorter, XD became shorter but he still towered over Foolish. He kept his mask on, like always.
"This good?" Foolish sighed.
"Not what I expected but it's okay I guess. Let's see if you can feel the pain." Foolish punched him on the shoulder, XD wasn't even fazed.
"It stung a little? Is it what pain feels like?"
"Yep. I guess that's it. If you felt the pain, you'll be able to feel other things as well."
"Hm, but the question is...Who am I going to live with to have some experience?"
"That's...up to you."
"She will do." Walking felt strange. But he managed to walk up to her, who was sitting on one of the sofas in Foolish's castle.

"XD? What happened to you?" She questioned, observing him.
"It's not important. We're going home."
"What? You mean my house?"
"Correct." Her eyes darted to Foolish, who stood there and smiled innocently. Oh no.
"I- I beg your pardon, Foolish? What have you told him?"
"I didn't say anything." He held up his hands in defence. "He chose you. You see, I lived with Puffy to adapt to this world, she was comfortable with me, I think he should do the same. But not with Puffy since he'll probably remind her of Dream. And XD chose you to live with as you can tell." Why her and not George or someone else?
"I-" You can't say no to two powerful gods, can you? "XD, you can't just decide something for me. I don't mind but you'll have to follow certain rules if you want to live with me." She'll have the better protection if he lives with her.
"Rules? I'm a literal God, why would I follow some human's rules?"
"XD, you can't- first of all, drop this 'divinity and mortal' attitude, second of all, if you're curious, then you should bear with it. Got it?" Foolish explained, XD frowned, pressing his lips into a thin line.
"Fine, what rules?"
"I'll explain later."
"Is it settled then?" Foolish questioned.
"I guess."
"Okay then, thank you, brother. Huma- I mean, Y/n, I'll teleport us back." He offered her his hand, she accepted it.
"Bye Foolish!"
"Bye guys! Visit me sometime soon!" With that, the world turned black once again. And the next thing she knew, she was next to her house, the God next to her. The air immediately grew colder and she hurried inside.
"Why are you standing there? Come in." XD snapped out of his thoughts, walking inside, tucking his wings to his back. The house wasn't that big but it was homey.

"Since you're...more human now, you'll need to sleep, eat and things like that...I think."
"How does sleep feel like?"
"It's like... oh my God, it feels good to relax after long day, replenish your stamina and let your body rest." She walked into living room, sitting down on the sofa, motioning him to sit down on another.
"I wanna try it."
"But I don't- I don't have a spare bed. Only one bed and a couch." Her bed was double but there's no way she's sharing it with him, or anyone else. Knowing him, he wouldn't sleep on couch for sure.
"That's not a problem, I can create it."
"Okay then. You feeling hungry yet?"
"Hungry?"
"Do you feel the need to eat food?" He shook his head, his hood falling off. The gentle light of the house lamps danced on his golden hair, making it shine.
"Okay then. How about the tea?"
"Would love to." He actually liked the taste of the tea. Maybe mortal life wasn't that bad after all? He yet had to explore the new world in front of him. Rules were: To not enter her room without knocking, or especially bathroom while she's inside. Quite simple.

A week passed since they started living together, he'd still spend some time with George, but not that much as before. George was growing tired of him, XD could sense it. George was sad, he missed his friends, but he even pushed XD back when he was trying to be his friend, completely isolating himself from the world.
