"Who is.. Vecna?" Steve asks, "An undead creature of great power." Dustin answers, his voice showing worry. "A spell caster." Eddie adds weakly, "A dark wizard." Dustin says, both him and Eddie looking at each other worriedly.

The next day, they all went back to where Eddie was staying, bursting through the door, causing Eddie to freak out.

"Shit, Jesus!" Eddie shouts as they all enter the doors without notice, "Delivery." Ava says, winking, and holding up bags of junk food and drinks. Eddie takes one of the bags and starts chowing down on dry cereal, barely breathing in the process.

"So we got, uh, some good news and some bad news." Dustin says, breaking the silence. "How do you prefer it?" Dustin asks, "Bad news first, always." Eddie responds, drinking. "Alright, bad news." Dustin says, "We tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you." The boy says, making Eddie's face drop.

"Also they're, uh, pretty convinced that you killed Chrissy." Dustin adds, making the older boys face drop even more. "Like, 100% kind of convinced." Max adds, making Ava scoff. "Come on, you didn't have to add that." Ava says, sitting next to Eddie for comfort.

"And the good news?" Eddie asks, taking a bottle of soda that Ava handed him. "Your name hasn't gone public.. Yet." Robin says, "But if we found out about you, it's a matter of time before others do." She continues. "And once that gets our, everyone and their shallow minded mother is gonna be gunning for you." The older girl finishes.

"Hunt the freak, right?" Eddie mumbles, making Ava frown and rub his arm. "Exactly." Robin says, "So, before that happens, we need to find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence." Dustin says, as if it was going to be a piece of cake. "That's all, Dustin? That's all?" Eddie scoffs, "Yeah, no, that's pretty much it." The boy responds.

"You're acting as if we can just kill an 'undead creature of great power' before anyone figures out where Eddie is." Ava sighs, knowing Eddie's in deep shit. "Listen, Eddie, i know everything Dustin is saying sounds totally delusional, but we've actually been through this before." Robin reassures.

"I mean, they have a.. A few times, and i have once." Robin adds, "Mine was more human flesh based, theirs was more smoke related, but bottom line is, collectively, i really feel we got this." She continues. "We usually rely on this girl who has super powers, but, uh, those went bye-bye, so." Steve adds.

"So we're technically in more of the.." Robin says, "Kinda-" Steve interrupts, "Brainstorming phase." Max suggests, making the two teens repeat what she said and point at her as if she's a genius. "There- There's nothing to worry about." Dustin says, not as confidently as he thought it'd come out.

Suddenly the sound of sirens wailing were close by, making Eddie immediately stand up. "Tarp." Robin says, pointing at it. "Tarp, tarp!" Robin repeats, making Eddie go in it.

They all run out to the window, curious on what it was about considering it was passing the house in a fast manor.

They all leave Eddie, and run over to the direction of the police vehicles, and to their surprise they actually meet Nancy at the crime scene.

"You're saying that this thing.. That killed Fred and Chrissy, it's from the Upside Down?" Nancy asks after being told the entire situation. "If the shoe fits." Steve answers. "Our working theory is that he attacks with a spell, or a curse." Dustin says.

"Now, whether or not he's doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer, or just loves killing teens, we don't know." The boy continues, "All we know is this is something different." Max adds from beside Ava. "Something new." The redhead finishes, "Doesn't make sense." Nancy sighs.

"It's only a theory." Dustin responds, "No, Fred and Chrissy doesn't make sense." Nancy adds. "I mean, why them?" She asks, "Well, me and Dustin have a few ideas to why." Ava speaks up, resting her hands on the table in front of her. "They could've been in the wrong place, i mean, they were both at the game." Dustin says, "And near the trailer park." Max adds, making Ava slightly worry for the redhead beside her.

"We're at the trailer park." Steve mumbles, "Uh, should we maybe not be here?" He asks. "Our other idea is that this.." Ava says, "Vecna." Dustin helps the girl out, who gratefully nods. "Yes, this Vecna, we think he could shadow a bad memory on you, distract you with it, and taunt you with it." Ava adds, "Chrissy.. She said that she was seeing these memories, but in a form of nightmares." She continues.

"Right, and we aren't sure how long Chrissy had those.. Nightmares." Dustin says, "But we know it has to do something with how Vecna kills them." He continues. "Do you know if Fred had any type of trauma or bad memories?" Dustin asks, "No, no, he never told me anything like that." Nancy responds.

"Well, was he ever acting strange around you?" Dustin asks, "Maybe he was possibly acting like.. He was in a trance of some sort?" The boy asks again. "Well, on the way to the trailer park, we were talking to a police officer. Fred looked like he was out of it, like out of this world." Nancy says, "I don't know, but his eyes were like.. Inside his head, and then he randomly snapped back." Nancy informs, making Dustin nod.

"Definitely a trance." Steve says. "Did he seem startled at all? Maybe a bit confused as to what happened?" Dustin asks, still processing the information. "Well, i'm sure he was a bit shocked and confused, he did look like it." Nancy adds. "Eddie told us Chrissy's eyes were also in the back of her head." Ava speaks up, "Yes, right, so this obviously has something to do with Vecna, as we already knew. This proved our theory." Dustin responds.

"Good, we've got that out of the way." Dustin says, sighing. "I think we have to wait until it happens to someone else to just talk about this." Steve says, totally fed up with this conversation. "So you're saying we just say 'fuck everyone's lives' because you're being bored over this?" Dustin scoffs.

"Look man, im not getting bored, and i'm not saying 'fuck everyone's lives' either." Steve responds, pointing at the other boy. "I'm just saying that we shouldn't dig this deep into something we have no clue about." Steve adds. "That's the thing, Steve, we know more about this than anyone in town i'm sure." Ava says, "If we don't try and figure it out, who will?" Ava asks.

"That's correct. We're just going to keep losing people we know and care about, i mean, it could be one of us next." Dustin mumbles. "And if i can do anything to prevent someone getting hurt from something that we can handle, then i'm going to try." Dustin adds, "No, Dustin, we don't even know if we can handle it." Steve scoffs.

"We've dealt with things like this before." Dustin responds, "Yeah, sure, maybe a Demogorgon, but this thing can get into your head and mess with shit." Steve says, pointing at his head. "Shut your quarreling, children, let the adults speak." Robin interrupts, making Ava giggle.

"But, back to the topic about the trailer park." Nancy sighs, glaring at the two immature boys. "Fred started acting weird the second we got here, like you know, his eyes were rolled into the back of his head in the car." Nancy says. "You did say Chrissy was upset, didn't you Max?" Dustin asks the redhead. "Yeah, but not here, she was crying, and like, throwing up in the bathroom at school." Max says, making Ava nod, also seeing it.

"Serial killers stalk their prey before they strike, right?" Robin asks, "So, maybe Fred and Chrissy saw this Vecman-" Robin says, "Vecna." Dustin corrects. "I don't know about you, but if i saw some freaky wizard monster, i would mention it to someone." Steve speaks up.

"Maybe they did." Max says, "I saw Chrissy leaving Ms. Kelley's office, the counselor, and if you saw a monster, you wouldn't go to the police. They'd never believe you." The redhead continues, "But you might go to your-" Max says before getting cut off, "Your shrink." Robin cuts in, making Max nod.

They were all walking towards Steve's car before Nancy started walking the other way. "Woah, Woah, Nance. Nance!" Steve says, "Nance, where you going?" The older boy asks. "Oh, there's just something i wanna check on first." Nancy responds.

"Something you wanna share with us?" Dustin asks, "I don't wanna waste your time. It's a real shot in the dark." Nancy responds, sighing. "Yeah, okay. Are you out of your mind?" Steve scoffs, "Flying solo with Vecna on the loose?" Steve says, "No, it's too dangerous. You need.. You need someone to.." Steve mumbles before throwing Robin keys.

"Here, i'll stick with Nance." He says. "Take the car, check out the shrink." He adds on, "I don't think you want me driving your car." Robin says, "Why?" Steve asks. "I don't have a license." Robin responds, "Why don't you have a license?" Steve asks. "I'm poor." Robin says, shrugging her shoulders.

"I can drive." Max says, making Ava look at the redhead with wide eyes. "No, never again. Please." Steve practically begs, making Ava nod in agreement. "Anybody but you. No." Steve says, making Ava smirk. "Anybody?" Ava asks, making Steve glance at her.

"You, you are even worse than the redhead." Steve scoffs, making Ava frown. "Worst insult of my life." Ava mumbles, making Max scoff and nudge the other girls shoulder. Dustin makes a face at Steve, "No chance." Steve says, "Come on." Dustin responds. "Alright, okay, this is stupid." Robin scoffs, tired of this.

"Us ladies will stick together." Robin says, handing Steve his keys, and walking towards Nancy. "Unless you think we need you to protect us?" Robin says with a slight smirk, making Steve nod sarcastically. "Be careful." Steve shouts, Robin shooting up a peace sign in response.

"Just gonna stand there and gawk?" Dustin says, a smile ok the boys face, "Shut up." Steve responds. "Why don't we go? Okay?" Dustin says, "Shut up and get in the car." Steve scoffs. "Someone's ego is crushed." Ava whispers to Max, making the redhead giggle.

"Wipe your feet." Steve says to Dustin, the boy deciding to wipe them in the car. "On the outside, not the inside!" Steve says, groaning. "Always the babysitter." Steve mumbles, "Always the god damn babysitter!" He repeats, putting the key in and driving away.

As they drive, he passes by Eddie's trailer, Ava looking through the window of it. She sees something on the roof, a crack. She doesn't think anything of it at first, but little did she know that the crack she saw would be back in the future.
