Lilith's POV

I sat in the throne room bored  of waiting for Legolas and Tauriel to return , I would've gone with them like I usually do but they didn't tell me they was going , the doors then opened to reveal Legolas , Tauriel and some dwarves ?

I looked towards my father as he hated dwarves for reasons he never mentioned  , and as I expected he looked extremely annoyed .

Then all of the dwarves were sent to the dungeons except for one who was known as the king under the mountain Thorin Oakensheild , all the elves including myself had been sent out too

"Legolas why was they trespassing in Mirkwood"
I asked

"they claimed to have a quest to take back the castle under the mountain from the Dragon Smaug"

It was clearly important to the dwarves and I honestly don't think they would have passed through Mirkwood without a reason as they hate elves just as much as elves hate them

"I think you should've let them pass"

Legolas looked at as if I was mental

"what makes you say that ?"

"Because I don't think they would've passed through Mirkwood unless they really had too"

I then felt something bash into me I turned around a saw there was nothing there , once my father had finished talking to this Thorin guy he too was sent away with the dungeons .

"father why are you locking them all up?"

"They trespassed and didn't accept the deal"

I rolled my eyes and followed the dwarfs not wanting any of the other elves to see me .

I then saw tauriel outside the younger looking dwarf that wasn't as scruffy looking as some of the others .

I tried to hide behind the wall before she Saw me and failed , she didn't even need to look up ,

"Lilith what are you doing down here"

"I wanted to see where they was taken"

she raised her eyebrow

"I think it's obvious don't you , especially when your the princess of Mirkwood you should know these things"

I looked down ,Tauriel had always been smarter than me by a lot as I wasn't smart in the slightest however I was skilled with a sword though which was more than most the other elves as they all mainly excelled with a bow and arrow , Tauriel then continued

"Lilith your my best friend I can read you like a book"

"why do you think I came down here now"

"something to do with those dwarves"

I saw tauriel exchange a glance with the dwarf in the nearby cell, I saw the looks they exchanged ...... they had only just met , I rolled my eyes as he already seemed to have fallen in love with her judging by his face .

"I only wanted to know why they passed through Mirkwood nothing more"

The dwarf who seemed to have a crush on tauriel said

"it was the quickest way to get to the mountain as we need to be there before a certain time , we meant no harm to Mirkwood"

aha I was right

"I knew there would be more of a reason for them coming through Mirkwood , oh and what's your name?"

"Kili"

I nodded and decided it was my cue to leave , I smirked and turned around

"oh and quit it with the goo goo eyes"

Tauriel gave me a warning look as if too see 'just go Lilith' i put my hands up in mock surrender and descended up the stairs , tauriel came by shortly behind .
