It was finally summer, no waking up early, no homework, and most importantly no school. Summer is not Tk's favorite time of year, it was too hot for his long he preferred winter over summer any day. But the one thing he liked about it is that he could sleep his entire day away and not have to worry about school.

Tk was sleeping quite peacefully in his room when he was woken up by the sound of banging on the door. He didn't want to get up but he knew that his uncle wasn't gonna answer the door so he had to get it. Also, the person at the door wasn't going to leave until the door was open.

" I'm coming!" Tk shouted as the person on the other side kept banging on the door. When he finally opened the door he was greeted by Mike's face. He already knew it was mike seeing as he has done this every day since they found El.

" Mike, it's nine in the morning. We talked about this' ' Tk whined. In the beginning, he came around a decent time but now that he was comfortable he was over all the time at any time of day. He was over so much that Jim stopped opening the door for him. It didn't matter how much he banged on the door hopper wouldn't open it, so that left Tk to open the door.

" you said not to come before nine and it's nine," Mike stated, inviting himself into the cabin.

Tk shut the door and followed him to the room. "I didn't mean literally I meant like, in the afternoon not this early." Mike wasn't paying attention anymore too engrossed with El. Mike greeted her with a kiss, which made Tk want to throw up.

It's not that he wasn't happy for them he was, it just seemed like all they did was kiss. Tk understood that they were dating but even he and Lucas didn't kiss in front of any of the party members. They didn't want to be that couple that rubs their relationship in people's faces.

Tk got back in his after deciding it was too early to deal with them. " Well, I'm going back to bed. Mike keep your hands to yourself"

It was now around noon Tk still hadn't left his bed. He wasn't able to go back to sleep because mike and El were too busy making out to notice his discomfort.

So he laid under his blanket waiting for the perfect time to go to Lucas's house, he didn't want to go there too early and wake up his family so he figured he'd wait a few hours. Some of the most excruciating hours of his life.

Once Tks watch read Twelve o'clock He yanked the covers off his head, only to pull them back over his head when he realized that mike and El were still kissing.

" ugh! You guys are gross!" Tk shouted from under his covers.

" You have a boyfriend and I have a boyfriend. Why gross?" El questioned once she finally pulled away from Mike, much to his dismay.

" Because your boyfriend is gross and mine is not" Tk stated while he was getting out of bed.

" I'm right here!" Mike interjected.

"I know" Tk stated.

" Mike is gross?" El tilted her head to the side slightly. She was obviously confused.

"No!"

"Yes!"

" you know, Tk you're being very hypocritical right now," Mike said as he turned his attention to him.

Tk crossed his arms over his chest. " I'm being hypocritical? How am I being hypocritical?"

"You're acting like you don't do the same thing with Lucas!" Mike pointed out.

Tk rolled his eyes. " yeah, but we don't do it in front of the party"

"El and I don't do it in front of the party!" Mike justified.

" well you two are never around" that's what Tk wanted to say but he knew that would just cause a fight so instead he just left the room to get his shoes on.

"Morning, kiddo. where you going" hopper called out to him from the kitchen where he was eating cereal.

" I'm going to Lucas's house" Tk informed him.

" dressed like that?"

" what do you mean?"

" Tommy, you're in your pajamas" hopper told him. Tk looked down to see that he was in fact still in them.

Tk shrugged his shoulders. " What's wrong with them?" Hopper just gave him a knowing look.

His pajamas did not match the bottoms were spiderman and the top was space themed. He had lost the matching top and bottom but he didn't care. they were two of his favorite things so why would he?

But he figured he might as well change since it was going to be hot outside. He walks back to his room and opens the door only to Slam it shut right after. Tk kept saying " oh my god" over and over.

Tk took the time to pull himself together before opening the door again but this time he had a hand over his eyes. " I'm just grabbing a change of clothes. Don't mind me. But please don't continue what yall were doing"

" We weren't doing anything bad, Tk. We were just kissing, ''Mike said.

"I'm sorry that I don't wanna see my friend sucking face with my cousin," Tk told him with his hand still over his eyes trying to get to his closet.

" Sucking face?" El spoke, butchering the words a bit. Tk did not want to answer her question so he just ignored her and grabbed whatever clothes he could find and left the room.

Once he was changed and ready he said his goodbyes to hopper and El. Not forgetting to remind Mike not to be late for the movie tonight. El wanted to go but Hopper said no because it wasn't safe for her out there.

That was the one thing Tk didn't like about going out with his friends. El most of the time wasn't allowed to go he felt guilty, but she had to wait until next year before she could leave.

So Tk promised to bring her something he just didn't know what yet. Most of the time he brought her food from the mall letting her try the different foods they had.

Tk grabbed his bike from the side of the house and left for Lucas's house.

Tk stood on the doorstep of Lucas's house rocking back and forth on his heels. He had already rung the doorbell; he was just waiting for it to be opened. a few moments later Mrs. Sinclair opened the door.

" Thomas! What a lovely surprise! How are you, sweetie?" she greeted him.

" I'm good. how are you?"

" I'm doing just fine. what can I do for you?"

" uh, I was wondering if Lucas was here?"

" yes, he is up in his room" she opened the door more so he could come inside. On his way to Lucas's room, he saw Erica leaving her room. She waved to him before leaving rather fast Tk just thought she was in a hurry but he waved back nonetheless.

Once Tk got to the door he knocked, he didn't want to walk in on him changing or something like that. He waited for Lucas to open the door but he never did. Tk was growing concerned that something happened, he opened the door slowly Tk let out a sigh of relief.

Lucas was lying on his stomach in a starfish position, nothing bad happened he was just sleeping. Tk didn't wake him up immediately he looked so peaceful.

Lucas had changed since last year, they both had. Tk more than Lucas, his hair was longer and he was a lot taller, almost as tall as hopper.

Tk was debating on waking him up or not as much as he enjoyed looking at Lucas he had to wake him or Max would have a fit.

Max wouldn't let go of the fact that when the two of them met Tk wanted to learn how to skateboard. Tk did tell her that it was just an excuse to talk to her and didn't actually want to learn.

But she didn't care, she had been asking him all summer to let her teach him, but he said no every time. The other day he agreed to let her, which she was over the moon about.

Tk had also invited Will to come with them so he didn't feel like he was being left out. But when he asked him if he wanted to go, Will asked if Mike was going and Tk told him he wasn't because he was with El.

Then will made up an excuse that he had to take his dog to the vet. But Tk knew he was lying because his dog ran away back in eighty-three after Will went missing. Tk stop him he knew will must have had a good reason for lying to him, even if he didn't want to tell him.

Tk shook Lucas's shoulder gently. " Luke, wake up. We have to go, max is going to kill us if we're late"

Lucas groaned and opened one eye to see who it was, he was half asleep so the voice wasn't registering in his head. Once he realized that it was Tk he was quick to turn over and pull him into the bed with him. So now Lucas was laying on his back with Tk on top of him and his arms wrapped securely around Tk so he couldn't leave.

" Luke, let go we have to go to max's house and you're still in bed," Tk told him as he was struggling to get out of Lucas's grip, Which had gotten tighter.

" I don't want to. Can't we just stay here, me, you, and my bed? ''Lucas said, pulling Tk's backpack to the floor so they would be more comfortable. He also gave him a quick peck on the forehead in hopes of convincing him to stay.

Which worked because Tk eventually gave in, placing his hat on the nightstand and lying with Lucas. He had to admit he was really comfortable. Max could wait a few minutes.

The boys did make it to Max's house even if she had to call them a thousand times. Tk stood outside Max's house on her skateboard, while Lucas was holding his hands so the board didn't slip out from under him. Max told him how to do it and was now watching from the curb.

" You have to let him go, Lucas, he's not gonna lean if you don't" Max called out to him.

Lucas simply ignored her and focused on Tk. " try not to fall again, okay" Tk already had a couple of band-aids on his arms from falling. Lucas lets go of his hands and watches as Tk is slowly riding. He was doing well until he hit a rock and fell on his back.

Lucas and Max ran over to Tk, Lucas was asking him if he was okay while Max was checking for injuries. From what she could tell he was fine just had the wind knocked out of him.

" Are you okay, cosmo?" Lucas offers him his hand.

" Yeah, I'm fine Luke. It's a little hard to breathe but I should be getting that back soon" Tk told him while accepting his hand and getting up.

" Well, you did better than me the first time I tried, I didn't have a helmet on and cracked my head open" max spoke as she pushed back some of her hair so that they could see the scar from the surgery.

" that's the coolest thing I've ever seen, by far," Tk added.

The trio stayed outside Max's house until it was dark out. They went back and forth between teaching Tk how to ride a skateboard, to playing tag, prank calling random numbers and they even chased each other with sticks at one point, Tk did most of the chasing.

Once it was dark enough they made their way to the mall so they could watch the movie. Max rode her skateboard there while Tk and Lucas rode their bikes

The party stood outside the mall next to the bike racks waiting for Mike to arrive so they could watch the movie. Will had joined them at the mall. Tk got the others' attention when he spotted mike riding his bike through the parking lot.

" you're late" Lucas pointed out.

" sorry!" Mike said as he was putting his bike up.

" again," Lucas added.

" We're gonna miss the opening" will chimed in.

" Yeah, if you guys keep whining about it. Let's go!" Mike pushed past them walking into the mall, hoping that would be the end of the convocation but Lucas wasn't gonna let it go.

" if you guys keep whining about it. Nyeh-nyeh-nyeh" Lucas mocked.

" I told you not to be late mike, I specifically said don't forget about the movie" Tk scolded.

" Just please stop talking, dude," Mike said while pushing past Tk.

"Let me guess, you were busy" Lucas then started to make kissing noises. Imitating Mike and El.

Mike rolled his eyes at his behavior. " oh, yeah, real mature, Lucas"

" Oh, El, I wish we could make out forever and never hang out with any of our friends" Lucas was throwing hands making it more dramatic, making both Tk and Will laugh.

" Lucas, stop," Max scolded. Tk debated on telling him to stop but Mike had been at his house all summer. He couldn't even bring Lucas over to the cabin because Mike was always there. So he deserved to suffer just a little.

" Tk and will think it's funny," Lucas justified.

"Because it is" will laughed, which causes Mike to glare at them, making Tk stop laughing.

Mike threw his hands up. " yeah, it's so funny that I want to spend romantic time with my girlfriend"

" I'm spending romantic time with my boyfriend." Lucas chimes in, while wrapping his arm around Tks shoulder, Tk then wraps his arm around Lucas's waist.

They only separate because they have to go down the escalator, which was crowded with people so they had to squeeze their way down. Which caused a lot of people to yell at them, Tk kept muttering apologies to them as he made his way through.

" yeah! Watch it, nerd!" A voice yelled at them. Tk recognized that voice instantly; it was Erica, Lucas's little sister. She was sitting on a bench with all her friends, that's why she was probably in a rush to get out of the house earlier.

" Isn't it past your bedtime?" Lucas replied back. The two siblings kept throwing insults at each other until Max pulled him away into scoops ahoy.

Mike walks up to the counter and rings the bell countless times even though robin was right in front of them." hey, dingus, your children are here" robin shouted. Tk liked robin he has met her a couple of times when he would come and visit steve. They have become quite good friends.

" again? Seriously?" Steve said, opening the window to look at them, Mike Simply looked at him with a blank face and rang the bell again.

Steve then brings them to a door in the back so they could get into the movies for free.

" I swear if anybody hears about this" steve shouted.

" We're dead!" The party yelled back in unison. Mike peaked his head out the door to make sure no one was there before they all headed to the movie theater. They were going to see the day of the dead. Not Tk's first choice but he was outvoted.

There were only a few open seats left, two at the top where mike and will sat and three at the bottom where Max, Tk, and Lucas sat.

" See, Lucas we made it" Mike whispered.

" We missed the previews," Lucas whispered back to him. Tk just rubbed his hand on his shoulder he knew that the previews are his favorite part.

" still made it, fart face" Max teased, as will was handing them their snacks. Tk put the armrest that divided his and Lucas's seat up so that he was able to hold Lucas's hand while they watched the movie.

Tk could feel Lucas looking at him but refused to turn and look at him knowing that he would get embarrassed.

Everything was going well, they were enjoying the movie when the power went out, causing the movie to turn off, making everyone in the room groan.

After a few minutes, the movie turned back on making everyone cheer. The group enjoyed the rest of the movie, and Tk was glad he got to spend time with his friends.

He had a feeling this was going to be a great summer.
