when the clock hits 12 it will be a new year.

never in my life have I been so happy with myself and with people surrounding me.

my mom even became less strict well I mean she still forces me to do photo shoots but she lets me go out more.

today was the day I go to the festival with my two friends and Kageyama.

Kageyama is a friend but a the same time he's more than that.

we still haven't kissed but I'm hoping maybe tonight will change that.

I put on my desired outfit and went to fix up my hair. I hear a *ding* come from my phone which followed up by a knock at the door.

they must be here now, I rushed downstairs to open the door revealing the soon to be couple and Kageyama.

"hey guys" I say hi to them "hii" both yachi and shoyo replied and Kageyama replied with a small smile.

"I'm leaving now bye mom!!!" I shout from the living room "okay have fun!!" she shouts back from upstairs.

I smile and close the door behind me. I step out and the cool breeze hits me.

"I can't believe the year is already coming to an end" yachi said as she looked at the sky "I know it's been a nice year though" I say as I intertwine my hands with Kageyama's.

"yeah I could tell" shoyo sarcastically while raising his eyebrows up and down hinting at our locked hands.

I roll my eyes "shut up dumbass" me and Kageyama say in sync "wow your like a mini him" yachi said.

is it weird that I liked that she said that? I smile to myself while looking at the ground as we walk.

this feeling itself is nice, walking with your friends just feeling their presence is comforting.

I burry my head into Kageyama's arm as we continued to walk.

I looked around in awe as I saw all the pretty lights flashing and the beautiful view of the festival.

"beautiful isn't it?" Kageyama asks, I look up at him and smile "yeah it is" he smirks as he sees that expression on your face. he thought it was cute.

"can we eat first? I'm hungry!" shoyo whined as his stomach growled. Yachi and I let out a laugh then my stomach growled which resulted in me covering my stomach in embarrassment.

Kageyama laughed at this "yeah let's go eat I'm kinda hungry too" he said comforting me.

we ended up getting some yakitori "mmm soo good" I say as I bite into the food.

"ahh can we get snow cones after this too?" shoyo asked "ouu yes can we?" I say, both of us looking at Kageyama "why are you asking me?"

me and shoyo give him the puppy dog eyes "ugh fine whatever" once he said that me and shoyo cheered "yay snow cones !!!"

I smiled as I took another bite out my food "you guys are like a bunch of children" Kageyama stated which made yachi giggle.

once we finished we got snow cones like we said we would. "want some of mine tobihoe?" I say as I hold it towards his face.

he looks down at me and hands me his, I smirk as we traded our snow cones.

I taste his snow one "ahh this one is so good!" I say "yeah i know that's why I got it idiot" Kageyama replied

"hmmm this ones mine now!" I say as I stick my tongue out at him "dumbass" he mumbles under his breath.

"got something to say tobihoe?" I say getting all up in his face.

he turns away with a faint blush on his face "I said you're a dumbass" I smile at his reaction.

"hey let's go to the ring toss!" yachi says as she pulled shoyo behind her.

I smirk as I look at Kageyama, we both walk behind the pair.

We get to ring toss and yachi eyes a really cute stuffed bear "I can get it for you" shoyo said pridefully.

after what felt like 100 tries he actually managed to win the bear for yachi.

"took long enough shrimpy" Kageyama said causing me to laugh

"I'm not a shrimp!" he yelled back "uhm.. thanks s-shoyo" shoyo's eyes widen once he noticed she used his first name.

this made me scream inside 'they're so cute together' looks like Kageyama was thinking the same, when I looked at him he had a smirk planted on his face.

"anyways the fireworks should be starting soon guys.." yachi said "let's get going then!" I say

we walked to a more secluded area where we would get a nice view of the fireworks.

we laid on the grass, yachi and shoyo next to each other and me and Kageyama next to each other with a reasonable gap between the two groups.

we talked for a few minutes, mostly just Kageyama and shoyo bickering.

I laid my head on Kageyama's shoulder and he lead his head on top of my head.

it was comforting, just being together with him right now. It felt like it was just us tonight.

splashes of color filled up the sky, the fireworks had started.

I pick my head up from Kageyama's shoulder and look at the fireworks. 'so beautiful' I thought.

just then, kegeyama grabbed my face with his hand making me face him, he caressed my cheek with his thumb. 'she's so beautiful' he thought as he got lost in her eyes.

wait is it finally gonna happen! are we gonna kiss? my cheeks got red just thinking about what was about to happen.

he then suddenly went in for a hug, it shocked me at first. I really thought he was gonna kiss me, I'm so stupid.

He wrapped his hands around me and I did the same, I got a whiff of his scent.

we backed away slowly and our faces were inches apart, this caused us both to become a blushing mess.

I looked away being embarrassed, that's when he cupped my face making me face him once again and starred into my eyes.

he smiled at me and he starting moving closer to my face.

he closed his eyes and his soft lips met mine, my eyes widen as I soon realized I WAS KISSING KAGEYAMA FUCKING TOBIO!!!

once my dumbass realized what was going on I closed my eyes as well and melted into the kiss.

this kiss was way better than looking at the fireworks.

we soon pull apart and my eyes open and my eyes met with his beautiful dark blue eyes.

'god damn I'm so in love with you tobio' she thought as her face became more red.

he pulled her into an embrace and his arm was around her shoulder and together they watched the rest of the fireworks.

tonight was better than I could have ever imagined.
