𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗌𝖾𝖼𝗈𝗇𝖽 𝗂𝗆𝗉𝖺𝖼𝗍

(trigger warning; panic attack)

Praepailin had missed a day of school, she was advised to go back after a week. It was morning and she had planned to sleep till late but heard people talking in the hallways, so she decided to check it out.

When she went to the hallways, she heard Thyme shouting again "why are people so loud aghhh my head's killing me" she thought.

"Where are you going?" Shouted Thyme.

"Who is he screaming at?" she thought again

"Let me go!" she heard a female voice. "oh this is bad" thought Praepailin.

"How much would it cost for you to apologize to me?"

When she finally saw Thyme, she saw him and Gorya fight and Gorya kicking Thyme in the place where it would hurt the most.

Praepailin rolled her eyes and screamed "what is going on here?" she looked at Gorya and her tone softened, "what are you doing here Nong?" she asked nicely.

"P'Prae" said Gorya and looked at her bruised forehead.

Gorya walked closer to Praepailin and looked at her with guilt, "Khor Thoad kha phi! This is all my fault are you okay?" she asked Praepailin.

Praepailin smiled in return and nodded her head.

"Now tell me what brings you to my house?" Praepailin asked Gorya.

That's when Gorya realized Praepailin was Thyme's sister.

"Your brother kidnapped me" she complained.

Praepailin eyes shot up and looked back and forth between Thyme and Gorya "WHAT?" Praepailin glared at Thyme and said "what is wrong with you? Are you right in the head? Why would you kidnap her? And have people give her a makeover? What is this even about?" she sighed and slowly pinched her temples to ease the pain.

Aunty Yu came inside before Praepailin could grill time again, "What are you two doing?" she asked.

Praepailin sighed and sat down in one of the chairs. The room was still spinning for her. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to scream.

Before Thyme could answer the door opened. This could only mean one thing. Their Mae was here.

Everyone had concerned looks on their faces Praepailin wanted to run back to her room, but her Mae was already inside.

Aunty Yu stepped out of the way for their Mae to enter. Praepailin stood up.

"Nothing" said Thyme avoiding eye contact.

Their Mae said under her breath "handle it."

Two men came in and started dragging Gorya out.

"Let me go!" said Gorya and Thyme did nothing.

Praepailin tried going after them but Thyme stopped her. She couldn't struggle.

Their Mae was glaring at them and walked away.

"Are you crazy? Praepailin asked her brother who just shrugged.

"Does you head hurt?" Thyme asked her who slowly nodded.

After being bullied by her classmates a very pissed Gorya made her way back to the rooftop to scream.

"Aghhh!!! Jackasses! Fake newsss! So? What if I've been with 10 guys and got pregnant? It's my business. It's a modern age. Aghhh!" she stopped after having a good scream.

But she soon realized Ren usually hangs out here. It would be really embarrassing for her if he were here. So slowly stepped backwards and checked to see if Ren was sitting in his usual spot. Which he was not. She let out a small smile thinking no one witnessed her outburst.

"What kind of a person shouts all this stuff from the rooftop?" she heard Ren say from behind her, "you're strange".

Which also stopped her from smiling and turned around to face him.

"All well" says Ren and continues "even someone like Thyme got kicked by you.

"I was caught up in the moment." Said Gorya and stood next to Ren.

She saw Ren drawings. It was beautiful.

"P'Ren," she started. "I haven't thanked you for the other day at the storage room. Khop Khuna!" she said with a small smile.

He doesn't say anything. There's this weird silence around them.

After a few moments he does say something "Let me ask you something. If you flew from France at 5 am, what time would you arrive in Thailand?"

"You'll have to work out the time difference. I don't have my phone with me." Answered Gorya.

"Never mind" answered Ren under his breath.

"Why do you ask?" Gorya asked Ren

"I just wanted to know." He replies and smiles a little which Gorya gladly returns.

After a few seconds silence hovered over them again and Gorya starting looking at Ren's sketchbook. He was drawing something in it. It was a plane.

"Kidnapped?" Kavin and MJ said at the same time. Both of them were looking at Thyme, but he had his VR set on. Praepailin just rolled her eyes.

She would be playing with him if it wasn't for her mild concession.

"Yes" Thyme answered the boys, both of them sighed at his foolishness.

"She can have you arrested." MJ told Thyme.

"I tried telling him it's upto you two dumbasses now" said Prae under her breath. Kavin looked at her and gently nudged her.

"She can file a report but I can make it all go away." Answered Thyme while simultaneously playing. He threw his VR googles down out of frustration and complained "crap, it's too difficult. I'm done." He said.

"You're just Not. That. Good. That's the reason I win every time." Said Praepailin with a proud smirk on her face.

Thyme mocked her and Kavin and MJ chuckled.

"Are you frustrated with the game or Gorya" asked Kavin.

"He just sucks. Admit it" said Praepailin.

MJ went towards her and nudged her "not the time, it's our turn to talk some sense into him" which made her chuckle under her breath.

"Why would I be frustrated?" Thyme said getting all defensive.

That was her cue. "I'm bored. I'll go to my room, let me know when you two leave" she said while patting both their backs, and left Thyme's room.

(I made her leave cause I don't want to write the whole conversation lol)

Praepailin was reading a book. But she was completely zoned out, so she started looking out of her window.

She was so lost in her thoughts she didn't hear Kavin and MJ making their way inside the room.

They screamed loudly to scare her which totally worked. Maybe worked way too much cause she threw her book at them and it hit MJ's head.

"Shiaa!" she screamed "Bpen hi alia mung wa?" (what the hell is wrong with you?) said Praepailin while trying to calm herself down.

"You are so violent!" complained MJ while rubbing his forehead.

Praepailin went back and sat on her bed and motioned the boys to do the same.

"Where did Thyme go?" she asked her bestfriends.

"Went to find Ren" replied Kavin while looking at her books and picking one.

"What is he gonna do?" laughed Praepailin.

"Nothing. That's why he went to him" added MJ.

"When are you coming back?" asked Kavin, "does you head still hurt?" added MJ

"Day after tomorrow I think, and it doesn't hurt anymore" she smiled at them.

"So, what do you think Thyme will do now?" Kavin asked Praepailin who just shrugged her shoulders.

"If he does something, I'll call P'Tia." Answered Praepailin and the boys nodded,

"When you two leaving?" inquired Praepailin.

The boys shrugged.

A smile crept up in Praepailin's face.

"Movie?" she asked with excitement like a five year old.

"Just like old times?" said MJ and Praepailin giggled and set her projector up with the help of the boys.

"What should we watch?" asked Praepailin, Kavin took the remote out of her hands and started scrolling through Netflix.

"Ooh ooh! What about 13 going on 30!?" suggested Praepailin while sitting in the middle of her bed with the boys on her sides.

The boys dramatically shook their heads, "hell not! Not again! We watched that three times with you! We pick this time." Said Kavin.

They ended up watching the karate kid.

The whole gang were waiting in the airport waiting for P'Mira to come back home. Everyone was so excited to have her back. Especially Ren.

Ren was fidgeting and losing patience while waiting to see P'Mira again. Kavin was having all the fun recording him seeing like this.

That's when he ran into two beautiful airhostess "Khor thoad khap" he said and turned around.

When he noticed two airhostesses, he immediately had his flirty face on.

"Let me make it upto you" he said in English. (Everything else they say are in Thai, so if they do speak in English I'll mention that)

"How about I buy you two dinner tonight?" he asked smirking slightly.

Praepailin stood on the side and watched him, it was so funny to see the boys flirt to be honest.

Then she saw MJ walking towards Kavin.

"I can speak Thai kha" replied one of the airhostesses. (the rest of the conversation is in Thai)

"In that case, come out with us tonight." Encouraged MJ while putting his hand on Kavin's shoulder, "our treat" MJ added.

"Yes, the place is nearby" said Kavin with his flirty voice which made Praepailin giggle under her breath.

"So, what's it going to be?" asked MJ, "are you coming?" the two ladies had amusing faces and were just about to agree but Thyme can in between the ladies and pushed them aside.

"When is she coming? I've been waiting for a long time" complained Thyme "can we yell at someone?" and with that the ladies left.

"Ai Thyme, you've scared the chicks away!" complained Kavin.

"I knew he would do something like this" Praepailin came towards the boys grinning at them.

"Why are you so frustrated?" asked MJ, "still mad at Ren?".

"I'm not mad" said Thyme and walked away from them.

Kavin put a hand on MJ's shoulder and whispered "Look at him" Kavin looked at Thyme. "Lonesome." Kavin added.

Praepailin pushed the boys aside so that her short frame was in the middle so that she can listen to them aswell.

"Not as bad as this one." The three saw Ren being restless still waiting for P'Mira.

Praepailin had a smile on her face looking at Ren. He looked so cute when he was all fidgety. But her smile dropped when she realized she had no right to smile at him like that. She will never have that right.

Kavin noticed her sudden change of emotion and put his hand on top of her head and ruined her hair.

"Cheer up! How many times do we tell you to get over him! Either do that or just tell him!".

Praepailin sighed in annoyance as she tried to fix her hair.

"I don't have feelings for anybody! What the heck are you talking about?" she told the boys who rolled their eyes so hard.

"Don't say stupid things out loud! If Thyme or worse you know who heard you two I swear to god I'll murder you both."

"Who Voldemort?" MJ joked, Praepailin hit him in the stomach.

They looked back at Ren who was checking his watch and looking at the entrance for the 7876845789450th time.

Then they saw P'Mira coming their way waving.

P'Mira started running towards Ren and Ren ran towards her.

All of them were smiling at P'Mira especially Praepailin.

P'Mira was like her older sister. She was her role model. She looked up to her. P'Mira was kind, beautiful, smart and the nicest person ever. No one could ever dislike her.

Ren picked P'Mira and twirled her around and both of them were a giggling mess.

When Ren finally put her down, P'Mira took her glasses off and told Ren that she missed him a lot.

"I missed you too" replied Ren.

"It's been a long time. Have you gotten cuter?" teased P'Mira with a smirk on her face.

"Don't tease me" said Ren and continued "Why are you late?"

"The flight was delayed, don't be mad! Phi really missed you" (in Thailand a lot of people refer to themselves in 3rd person)

She turned around and looked at everyone and said "and I missed all you rascals."

Praepailin giggled and ran towards P'Mira to give her a tight hug "I missed you so much phi" Praepailin mumbled while hugging P'Mira.

"I missed you so much! I know how difficult it is to stay them" both the girls laughed while MJ and Kavin cleared their throats to remind them of their presence.

"I didn't forget about you, give me a hug" said P'Mira while extending her arms.

She ran to the three boys and gave them a group hug.

Praepailin smiled and watched. She turned to look at a smiling Ren.

"How do you feel? Happy now?" she whispered. Ren just nodded looking back and forth towards Praepailin and P'Mira.

"I missed you all so much! Did you start any trouble when I was gone?" she asked.

"Nothing" replied Thyme slyly.

"I'll tell you everything" said Praepailin

"Ren's good at stopping it" Thyme said while glaring at Ren.

"Is he still mad at Ren for helping N'Gorya? Gosh grow up!" Praepailin thought.

"Forget about these two, let's focus on you. Did you make any guy fall in love with you over there?" interrupted MJ to control the situation with Kavin like they always do.

"Oi, she's so beautiful, that's not even a question" added Kavin.

Praepailin internally wanted P'Mira to say yes to them. If she did maybe she could have a chance with Ren. Even though it was impossible, she still wanted to have a little hope.

"Stop it. You should be the one telling me if you have a girlfriend."

"No, you do, you do" Kavin and MJ started arguing.

"Well, I've figured out these two, what about you? Do you have a boyfriend?" P'Mira asked Praepailin who replied "you think?" while rolling her eyes and P'Mira just laughed.

She knew Praepailin doesn't like going on dates and other things. But she didn't know why she refused every time she was asked out.

She looked at Ren and asked the same question and Ren just shook his head shyly.

"he's so cute. No! stop! Stop thinking about him! Don't do it! Why are you digging your own grave?" Praepailin started arguing with herself in her thoughts.

She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard the boys clearing their throats again.

Then P'Mira said something cheesy which made Ren blush.

Ren asked P'Mira if she was seeing someone so she told him to bend down so that she can tell him something.

Praepailin knew what she was going to do. She did that all the time but Ren fell for it every time.

Ren bent down and P'Mira had a vicious look on her face and started messing Ren's hair up.

Everyone just smiled at them warmly.

Praepailin went towards Kavin and hooked her arms with his and smiled softly.

Everyone got ready for P'Mira's comeback party and made their way towards the house.

MJ pulled her in front and gave her a reassuring smile which she returned but her face could never lie.

She could see everyone's attention on her. They probably had no clue who she was. She never attended parties. She only attended a few but she was always unnoticed.

She had panic attacks everytime she heard people were looking at her.

But it was their last year in school she had told the boys to make her socialize and attend parties. She didn't want to have regrets that she just hid behind a book throughout highschool when everyone was having fun around her.

She looked at her brother and her two bestfriends who gave her kind smiles. It did help her. She smiled and held onto MJ's hand and walked inside.

Praepailin saw Gorya in the party, so she went after her because she was the only person she liked in this entire school.

She was sitting near the pool leaning against the small table.

"N'Gorya! What are you doing here?" Praepailin asked Gorya kindly.

Gorya turned to face Praepailin and gave her a smile "hiding. What about you?"

"Same" Praepailin replied and laughed "you are the only sane person in this school, everyone else is just toxic."

"I feel the same way" agreed Gorya.

They stayed there for a few minutes before someone handed Gorya a plate. Both of them groaned in annoyance.

A group of girl came to the pool area giggling, "she's holding a plate" they joked.

It was the same group of girls who bullied Gorya.

"Did she think you're a waitress?" commented one of the plastics with her annoying squeaky voice.

"You know being mean doesn't make you cool. Or are you doing that to make the void of being lonely in your heard complete?" spat Praepailin.

"And who do you think you are? And how do you know F4" glared the plastics

"You three seriously need to get your ears checked. What do you think my name is?"

"How the hell are we supposed to know?" not so popular Regina George answered.

"Well, let me introduce myself real quick. Sawasdee ja! I'm Prae- Praepailin Paramaanantra. Sound familiar?"

The girls were completely wide eyed, and scared.

"Phi we're so sorry!" they started apologizing to Praepailin who just rolled her eyes.

Praepailin definitely had bad anxiety, and hated being in crowds. But the girl would always stand up for what's right.

They were making their way out, but one of the plastics or fake Regina George as Praepailin liked to call her knocked the plate that Gorya was holding and made a mess out of her outfit.

That was the last straw for Praepailin she was ready to fight those plastics.

They were being all fake and obnoxious but before Praepailin was going to pounce at them like a crazy person Ren carried her from the back. She looked like a crazy person when she was trying to break from Ren's hold.

"Let me go! I need to teach them a lesson!" she scolded Ren while struggling.

When she eventually gave up Ren put her down. Ren was also elbowed by Praepailin.

P'Mira put a hand on Gorya's shoulder and handed her Ren's handkerchief.

She thanked her and Praepailin for trying to stand up for her.

P'Mira stepped away from Gorya and came in the front and asked "what is happening here?"

Fake Regina George answered being all nice and innocent "that was an accident"

"Accident my ass!" muttered Praepailin getting angry again, but Ren held her down.

"I haven't seen you in a while. You're even more beautiful" said one of the plastics.

P'Mira sarcastically smiled at them and thanked them "I appreciate you coming to my party."

This confused Praepailin.

But then all her confusion was solved when she saw what P'Mira did.

She took the champagne and popped it open and spraying all the plastics who ended up falling in the pool.

There was a proud smirk on Praepailin's face.

She stood next to P'Mira and both of them held proud smirk's and did their weird high five that they had mastered in their childhood.

They looked at Gorya and P'Mira grabbed her hand and said "let's get out of here."

The three girls started going back inside. But Praepailin and winked and waved at the plastics, and walked back to the house.

Gorya's outfit was completely ruined. So she wore some robes that Praepailin handed her.

Praepailin knew her way around P'Mira's room so sat on the bed looking at her phone and listening to them speak.

"Khor thoad kha" Gorya apologized to both of them.
