"We're already here, you guys," your father said as he parked his car in front of a luxurious mansion.
You watch the mansion in awe for a moment before you stepped out the car and got your suitcase from the trunk of his fancy car, your mother eventually trailing behind you. Sucking up the deep breath you were holding, you gave her a strained smile.
"It's okay, Y/n." She muttered as she walked closer to you, grabbing your shoulder with a gentle smile, "I know you'll like it here."
You scoff a little but soon after, you sent back a small yet soft smile.
You were soon all sitting on the fancy table in the kitchen, and you already felt your parents stare you down.
You laugh weekly under your breath, "is there something on my face..?"
Your parents were strict yet polite people, always putting their priorities on you. You could immediately tell that once you guys settle in, they would get you back to acting soon enoughโyou hold the urge to sigh at that. Instead, you tilt your head in confusion as they remained silent for a moment.
Your mother puts a hand on her cheek as she spoke softly, suddenly breaking the silence, "Tomorrow is your first day, I just want you to be humble and make lots of friends!" Your father nodded along to her every word.
"Just be yourself!" Your father said as he playfully punched your arm.
You nodded, "Yeah, okay."
"Well then, let's get some rest. It's been a long day," he said as he clapped his hands dramatically in the air, ordering that you guys immediately head to bed.
โ
The sound of the alarm woke you up, much to your dismay and your eyes fluttered open as you walked through your closet, the nerves catching up to you almost instantly. As you finally you got ready, you head down to the kitchen and you feigned surprise once you saw your parents already being there.
You grabbed a toast and an apple and took a seat down the table.
"Well." You perked your head up as your father continued, "Do you want me to drop you off school?"
You shook your head, sending him an apologetic smile his way. He nodded in understanding as he continued digging into his breakfast.
"Well I'm finished, I'll head off now." You grabbed your book bag as you walked out.
"Good luck!"
You were walking to school, the nerves catching up with you again. You mutter under your breath as you see many students surrounding the entrance, hoping that school by any chance explodes right there and then.
"Help! Someone please help!" You heard a voice groan out, already catching the sight of many people passing by the helpless man once you turned around.
You sighed as you saw a man lying down in the ground, a distressed expression placed on his face. You immediately went his way as you grabbed the cane he was so desperately trying to reach. His distressed expression was instantly replaced with a pleasant smile.
"Thank you, kind stranger." He spoke softly as he grabbed the cane from your hand.
You nod as you hesitantly made way inside the school.
โ
To say you weren't surprised was an understatement, as you were immediately swarmed by the students who were standing in front of you. You smile sweetly yet awkwardly at them as they shouted at you.
"Is that y/n, OMG!?"
"I'm like your biggest fan!!"
"Let me take you to class, please!!"
You continued to smile awkwardly at them, soon startled when a blonde girl pushed them away from you.
"Move away losers!" She yelled out, shuddering at the contact she had with them.
Her scowl was replaced with admiration as she placed her hands on her cheeks, clearly excited to see you. She immediately began to hug you, unable to resist her excitement.
"Let's go! These losers don't deserve your attention." She voiced out, glaring at them over her shoulder.
You laugh at her actions, already finding her unintentionally funny. You assumed she was just joking around, seemingly unaware that she was actually being serious. In response, she huffed out triumphantly as she put her hands on her hips.
"Let's go to our class!" She said, grabbing your hand and led you up the stairs, "If you aren't in my class, I'll make sure daddy does something about it!"
As soon as you entered the class, you looked glanced around the room. You weren't aware you were early as you barely saw any students present. You were about to choose your permanent seat but soon interrupted by the blonde as she motioned the seat next to her.
Later many students entered, some sending glares at the girl next to you and some avoiding her. You didn't question it, nor were you allowed to when the teacher suddenly began evacuating the class to the library. Since it wasn't just your class that was being evacuated, you got lost in the crowded hallway and was separated from the blonde.
The school was new to you, so your curiosity had been heightened despite the horrid situation you were experiencing. You took the chance to glance around the library before acknowledging that this was the perfect opportunity to go back home. Sending a text to your parents, you had walked back home.
You made way up to your room, kicking the cardboard boxes that were messily stacked around the floor. One specific box had your eyes widening at the red symbolized jewelry box that was sat on top of it. You immediately opened it, a green light flashing out of the box, making you squeeze your eyes shut. After a while, you open your eyes to see a creature yawning and you immediately grimaced.
"Ew! What the hell are you?" You questioned, poking the creature's head.
The creature's jaw dropped, glaring as it flew over to you, "Ew? I'm the kwami of destruction! That shit itself should have you trembling in fear."
The kwami began flying around your room, grumbling to itself when it noticed your room was only filled with unopened cardboard boxes. Meanwhile you had sat down on the floor with a skeptical look, inspecting the jewelry box you've never seen before.
"Is this a late birthday present?" You muttered, pausing once you heard how ridiculous it sounded, "No, they probably don't even know when my birthday is."
You rolled your eyes and threw the box on top of the mattress. The creature seemed to remain there and you groaned once you discovered it hadn't left.
"Your parents should never know about this or anyone for that matter!" It flew towards you, a serious expression placed on its small face.
After a while, it spoke again, "Whatever, do you have anything to eat? I'm starving." Fatass.
You shook your head, making the kwami groan.
The kwami then later explained the abilities you would have when you transformed. You ignored him, and grabbed the ring to place it on your finger.
"Yeah, alright." You uttered, dramatically raising your hand to transform, "Plagg, claws out!"
Well that was something.
You inspected your hands, and you felt your eyes widening slightly when you saw the black cloth that randomly appeared on your skin. You rushed towards a mirror to see the outfit your kwami told you you would have.
What the hell??
Ignoring your concerns, you extended your stick and flew out the window, landing on a nearby roof. You later extended your stick on both ends of the roof as you tried walking over itโ to try testing your balance of course. You were concentrated but soon your ears perked up when you heard a distant shout.
"AHHHHH!"
You lifted your head at the sound, only to be crashed into by a polka dotted theme heroineโher wrapped yo-yo breaking your fall. You took a second to regain your breath as you looked at the girl in front of you.
"Hey there. Nice to meet you." You spoke, your voice dripping with playfulness.
"Sorry!" She apologized, "I didn't do that on purpose."
You shook your head, "No worries."
After a moment or two, you managed to get out of the unintended trap the heroine held you in, safely landing on the ground.
"So you're the partner my kwami told me about." You observed, putting a hand under your chin in thought. Given this was your first encounter with a heroine, you assumed she had more experience in this than you. So, the need to impress her was a big deal.
"The name is..." You started, pondering what would be a good hero name for you, "Chatรณn Noire! Yeah, that's the name. What's yours?"
"Madly clumsy. I'm madly clumsy." She muttered, looking at the ground with utter disappointment.
You nod at her, trying to somehow encourage her. You grabbed your staff that was on the ground and immediately started to head the way you heard destruction coming from.
"Wait! Where are you going!?" She cried out, almost as if she were telling you she had just as much experience as you did.
Once you reached the football field, you extended your staff directly in front of the boy the stone-man had been chasing. It scowled at you when the boy had managed to escape.
"Having fun or something?" You jested, your face forming a scowl of your own.
The angered stone-man growled at you as he threw his stone fists at your direction, making him more angered once he realized he didn't land a hit you. Cornering you into the perfect position to make an attack of your own, you had successfully managed to make a blow on him but to your horror, he only grew in size.
"Where the hell are you partner!?" You shouted out impatiently, panicking as you dodged more of his hits.
The stone-man had caught sight of the nearby soccer net, and picked it up to throw it at you. Instead of hitting you, it had bounced off the ground and towards another person. You let out a gasp when you realized it was about to hit a brunette you've previously seen before. You threw your staff in her direction, successfully pushing the net away from her making you sigh in relief. As you were distracted, the stone man managed to grab ahold of you.
"What are you waiting for, super red bug!? The world is watching you!" The brunette called out.
You grunt as you looked up at the hesitant heroine, her eyebrows twisting in concern as she stared down at you. You saw her grasp on her yo-yo tighten as her concerned expression was now replaced with confidence. It would've been enough to motivate you yourself if you weren't currently being pinned down by the stone man.
She flung herself on the air, wrapping her yo-yo on the stone man's foot and flew towards him.
"Animal cruelty? How shameful." She jested, her voice now dripping with confidence, an obvious difference from before.
The impact from his fall made you roll towards a soccer net, and the heroine seemed to have waited for you there as she extended out her hand out for you, an apologetic gesture she gave.
"Sorry it took so long, Chatรณn Noire." She apologized.
"It's quite alright, wonder bug." You teased, sending her a playful wink.
You crack your fingers, ready to attack the stone man. But you were pulled back by the polka-dotted heroine behind you.
"Wait! Haven't you noticed? It only gets bigger and stronger when you attack it. We have to do something different." She explained, putting a hand under her chin in thought. You only nodded, feigning understanding of her words.
After a moment of silence, she spoke again, "I can't think of anything."
"Well then, let's use our powers." You extended out your hand as you shouted, "Cataclysm!"
A huge grin was formed on your lips, and you showed her your hand. The way she jerked her head back in envy was how you noticed she believed you were showing off.
She scoffed as she gave you a pointed look, "I don't need powers that destroy stuff."
You smiled, in a way that dripped with mockery. She pushed you away with a faint scowl, seemingly unaware that it had been a bit hard enough for you to grab on a net to prevent yourself from falling harshly on the ground. You were taken aback slightly when you saw the perfectly good net, now crumbled in dust.
"Apparently I destroy everything I touch."
With that information, you immediately ran towards the stone man, trying to touch him. Your confident smirk vanished when you realized that you could only use it once, the stone man kicking you shortly after.
You patted yourself sheepishly when you heard the girl beside you laugh under her breath.
"Well now you have five minutes until you transform. Good going." She taunted, her smirk growing wider than before.
Your jaw went slack and you darted your eyes at her, "It was because of you! If only you hadn't made me touch that net."
The heroine's cackle only grew more vocal after seeing your annoyed face, but later composed herself to continue her banter, "Well, it's my turn. Lucky charm!"
You both took a moment to observe the object she was given, confused on its meaning.
"Superpower." You spoke sarcastically, huffing out a laugh as you crossed your arms over your chest proudly.
"My kwami told me that I had to break the object where the whatchamacallit the akuma is hiding." She commented, making you both look at the stone covered man in front of you.
"Well, he's purely made out of stone." You observed, rolling your eyes at her comment.
"His right hand! It's still closed. He never opens it, it's like those Russian dolls. The object isn't on him but rather hidden on his fist." She explained, turning her head to look at you.
"Well, what's your plan?"
At your question, she looked around to figure out her surroundings. Her eyes stopped at the water hose that was beneath you both, "This!"
She wrapped her yo-yo around your feet, "Don't resist. Just trust me!"
You felt your eyes widen when she spun you around, finally throwing you towards the stone man. "Girl, you're crazy!!" You shouted as the man grabbed you once again.
"Catch me if you can!" The heroine taunted, only for it to be futile when the rock man grabbed her with his other hand.
The polka dotted heroine threw herself in the air as the stone man released the akumatized object that was on his fist to grab the girl. You couldn't stop the smile that formed your face when you caught on to the girl's planโeven if she sacrificed you along the way.
"And now, Alya! The tap!" She ordered, signaling the brunette who had been a witness of the entire thing.
Now your smile falters and confusion was visibly evident on your face. Alya was new, wasn't she? How could the heroine possibly know her if Alya barely knew Paris herself? Your thoughts were interrupted when you saw the heroine released from the stone man's hold, running towards the object to break itโfinally bringing the akumatized boy back to his senses. You looked at her in awe, your jaw slightly agape.
"Woah." You muttered under your breath, swooning at the confidence that was radiating from her.
"What's going on? What am I doing here?" The boy questioned, confusion placed on his features as he glanced around.
Ignoring his question, you walked towards the heroine, a faint smile on your lips. "You were absolutely incredible, bug. You did it!"
She brought her hands up sheepishly near her face, "We did it actually."
As if it were instinct, natural really, you both fist bumped. "Pound it!"
You brought your hand up as you heard the ring beeping, a way of telling you that were about to de-transform. Your partner seemed to catch on as she gave you a look.
"It's time for you to go, we have to keep our identities a secret." She ordered you. You nodded, giving her a small wave as you extended your staff towards the direction of your house.
โ
Once you reached your house, you immediately began walking towards the living room to see the news. You were hoping to see something that involved the heroine you've meet today.
"Uh... call me, Ladybug!"
You smile softly at the sight of the heroine, already hoping to see her again.
"So thanks to this amateur footage, the Parisians now know the identities of their heroes." The reporter informed.
"I am pleased to announce that we'll be organizing a huge celebration in honor of our city's new protectors."
The groans from the kwami were more louder than the voices of the TV, making you look at his direction to see what had caused him to react that way. You saw him gag out the treats you gave him, which was cat food you bought in a nearby store.
"If you expect me to get my energy back after a transformation, I need something more... delicate." Plagg informed, his eyes squinted in disgust as he flew closer to you.
You groaned in annoyance, "What is it that you're craving?"
Your jaw dropped when he suggested cheese, you grab your head in horror at the fact that now you're going to smell like stinky ass cheese everywhere you go. Your grumbling came to a halt when you heard the magenta haired reporter speak again.
"These victims transformed into stone beings are still like statues. Police are perplexed. What will happen to them, will they remain frozen forever?"
"Plagg, what is going on? Didn't we already defeat him??" You questioned him.
"Did you capture the akuma?" He asked, not bothering to look at you.
You squint your eyes at him suspiciously, "Are you making up words or?"
He rolled his eyes, sighing at your incompetence, "Basically, you're useless without ladybug. She's the only one who can capture the akuma and fix the damage the akumatized villain makes." He explained as he stuffed the cheese on his face.
You laugh lightly at him and head to bed. You'll deal with that tomorrow.
