The whole room was cold, sending goosebumps over my skin. A large window and a bunch of computers spread out. People walking back and forth, some running whilst carrying a stack of documents.

It was all a blur.

My eyes tried it's best to see everything, to watch everyone. I stood there frozen like a fool,

'Whats happening...' my surprise was interrupted by a raspy voice calling out for Dabi beside me.

"Hey crust face! Go help the others secure H89 instead of mopping around." I turned my head to the owner of the voice and my eyes widened.

'Its him! It really is him!' my blood runs cold as I realised who was walking towards us. Dabi next to me grunted and walked off. But before he really left, he whispered into my ear:

"Do what you need to do."

Then he left.

I was alone.

I thought I wasn't doing this alone, but that contradicts everything I spat at him. Now I truly realise the importance of someone's company. His company.

"You! Don't just stand there! We're running tests so you better start moving!" A man called me out, his finger pointing at me - the look on his face speaks of irritation.

I shook my head and tried to make myself look useful.

.
.

I couldn't believe that he didn't realise I wasn't even a worker. They don't know anybody here?

Nonetheless I went up front to the very window, behind it was the usual tech you would see in movies - a long ass table with thousands of screens and buttons. My hand traces over the cold surface, and I finally take a seat.

As soon as I did everyone followed taking their places.

My hands were shaking, I was worried that I'd get caught and somebody would realise I don't belong here. I cursed under my breathe and wondered where Dabi had ran off to.

Speak of the devil, the gate at the other side of the window had opened -

I do say, that gate was abnormally large. Same goes for the entire area, it was huge and dark.

Dabi had walked out the gate, and a few others followed behind him. My mouth falls agape as I see what was rolling behind them. A huge cage with something inside.

Everything comes right at me one after the other -

I was expecting someone. But when he appeared right there I couldn't believe it. There he is...

My chest tightens when I see the familiar blonde haired man, his bright red wings being the only highlight of the other side. I watched in horror as Hawks whipped the creature inside the cage with a sharp feather.

What's happening. What's really going on.

I held back my disgust and fear - swallowing my gut.
I wanted to do something, to say something - to scream.

["High End 89 has entered testing grounds. Workers please exit the area within 5 minutes."]

The system repeats it again, the voice running through my head like a mantra. I felt like my ears were going deaf. The room on the other side was gradually getting emptier and soon enough it was empty.

Not really though, that cage was just there. The person next to me then pressed a button on the control panel. I glanced back at the window and noticed a pink smoke emerging from the vents.

Whatever it is -

It didn't like it.

It bellowed, wailed. The entire place shook from it's shriek alone. I held onto my seat for dear life, I gulped.

["SEDATIVE RELEASED: DISENGAGE CAGE AND COLLAR."]

The system spoke once again, and the scientists next to me followed.

The entrance to the lab opened and Dabi came inside, the rest coming up to the front to watch the scene. I felt people walk up right behind us, and I relaxed once I knew who came up behind me.

Dabi.

I admit I was pissed, but I had nobody else. This ravenette is still with me, and he still hasn't run his mouth.

A lady from the other end of the control panel clicked something, speaking some shit onto the mic.

"(XX/XX/20XX), Time - 4:37 AM. High End 89's Trial may now begin. Doctors please take your notes."

I felt puzzled watching as everyone took out some sort of clipboard, I started sweating a little upon realising I looked out of place.

.

.

I assume none of us had time to react -

As soon as the cage had opened, the metal bursted. The collar melted off to the side. And even worse, it was right there. It was right behind the glass. The only thing that kept us separated; was that glass.

I prayed that it would be strong enough.

The looming figure casted a shadow on us, it's 'eyes' burning into us. The whole room was tense, no one moving a single inch.

It certainly didn't look humanoid, if anything it looked monstrous, like a curse. No- it was a devil. The way its arm split from the shoulders into two hands, how it's head was of more than six.

I realised that it's body isn't just one.

They're all together.

It was slowly processing into me.

Their faces were frozen in fear, some still looked fresh, while others were already rotting. And it's eyes - it had a strange fluid flowing from it down to it's body. Leaving a wet mark on the cold tiles.

I held back the vomit that came up from my throat, and swallowed it back. Even though we were in a different side, I could still clearly hear it's noise.

The clicking.. the wet noises... And a little bit of screaming.

Even worse, I heard sobbing -

The cries of a child.

I fully froze, as I stared right back into it's eyes. And I thought to myself, 'What have they done?'

When it finally finished eyeing the others, it looked at me - in the middle. Something must have angered it, because it started screaming even louder.

We all covered our ears and I hissed under the weight of the situation. Dabi groaned and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Hm.. it doesn't do that." Shigaraki mumbled.

It started banging on the clear glass, but it seems no one was fazed. Confident that it would be great enough to endure the impact.

I gazed at the person's clipboard next to me, since he evidently started writing faster - his pen producing some scraping sound. I read;

- High End 89 appears to be facing distraught, it never reacts like that.

I looked back at the window and saw it had fallen unto the floor, and it squirmed around uncomfortably - and fast. It stomped it's feet and banged it's head on the ground.

Suddenly it moved incredibly quick, it's fist right back on the glass. And it would repeat it's process, stand back a little - before zooming into the window.

It was only a few more tries from it when I finally noticed something dangling in one of the heads' mouths.

I wanted to deny it.

As I looked closer at that golden jewellry hanging from it's throat, it swung with every hit against the barrier.

I started noticing things, the hair of the head was similar, it's facial structure- it's skin and it's eyes that were completely bloodshot and lifeless.

The locket in his mouth.

The other half that was his,
The locket which had my blood.

Eugene.

It screamed from its very core, a mixture of all those lost voices. And in one of them I could hear his voice faintly in the midst of it all.

I finally moved, and my hands cover my mouth.

Eugene.

I was too late.

The glass finally cracked. And everyone finally moved, they all stumbled back and got up from their chairs. But I stayed. Dabi pulled my bicep and dragged me to where everyone else stood.

["CAUTION! CAUTION! BARRIER HAS TAKEN DAMAGE! I REPEAT, BARRIER HAS TAKEN DAMAGE - ANY MORE WILL BE FATAL. PLEASE HANDLE THE SITUATION NOW."]

["PLEASE HANDLE THE SITUATION NOW."]

The system rambled, alarms blaring here and there as the crack on the glass gradually got bigger, I couldn't help but look at everyone else's face.

And I felt sick to my stomach when I see a sick grin on that Tomura Shigaraki's face.

"Powerful... Strong... Intimidating... Perfect! This is exactly what I'm looking for!"

I finally gave up.

How so?

I shoved off Dabi's grip on my wrist and took off to the control pan. And handled the situation.

The alarm blares even louder, and the lights go red. The screams became louder, now it came from both sides of the glass.

What did I do?

I opened the gates.
