Hazel's POV
It's been two weeks since Gaea invaded Annabeth, Piper and Hazel's memories. Wiped them of the truth and replaced them with the fake, what she's wanted to be real. The only person that had lost nothing was Piper. She came out of that portal unsaved with the one that she loved right behind her. Hazel, did not. Annabeth had seen her boyfriend die in front of her and came out looking for his body but Hazel, Hazel had lost the most. She never got to see the one she lost for one last time.
"Hey, Hazel." She looked up from her tablet screen at Nico Diangelo. She smiled at the boy. "Hey." Even though she had no memory of the boy, she had grown to want to be around him. He had realized that maybe she wouldn't ever remember him as her brother, but he wanted to be friends with her. "How are you?" He asked. She shrugged and sighed. "Honestly, I don't know. I was going to go and find Bruce. He wants to do some tests to see if my memory has improved any." Nico had a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Do you think there could be?" He asked. Hazel stepped closer to the boy that she was supposed to know as her brother and smiled.
"I have hope."
Annabeth' POV
"Could you hand me that hat?" Annabeth asked as she filled up the bag that was on her now cleared mattress. Percy nodded and tossed her the baseball cap on the floor. "Thanks." She said, and Percy nodded and smiled. "So, how long are you going to be gone?" He asked the blonde. She shrugged. A few weeks, I don't know. I just need some time to think." She answered. Percy fiddled with a picture of Annabeth on the beach with her dad and cousin. "Who are you going with?" He asked, slightly worried. "Piper and Isabelle. Maybe Xoe." Percy nodded and put the photo on the mattress so Annabeth could pack it. "We're going to go off the grid for a bit." Percy walked over to the love of his life.
"Are you going to go to te lab for testing?" He asked. Annabeth shook her head. "There's no point, if I have a piece of my memory gone then I don't think I'm ever going to find it. Piper says that she it's just blood samples and questions about your past. She remembers nothing retaining to Jason." Percy sighed. "I don't understand why you don't want to remember." He stated throwing a shirt over to her. She laughed. "You really think that I don't want to remember what I forgot?" She asked. Percy just stared at her as she pocketed a piece of candy. "Seems like it." Annabeth threw her head back and laughed again.
"I really do want to remember what I forgot, but I also don't care anymore." She grabbed the bag from off the mattress and tied her hand into a pony tale. Percy dropped the subject and hugged her. "Be safe, Annabeth." She breathed into his shoulder and nodded. "I will Percy."
"I will."
Piper's POV
Isabelle had been gone for a few hours. Piper had packed her bags and was ready to go. The only problem was, Isabelle's stuff was spread out everywhere, her bag us unpacked and out of sight. She was about to go looking for her when the door opened and in came Isabelle. She was smiling from ear to ear. "Sup, Pipes?" She asked when she'd noticed she's was in the room. " Piper sat up and smiled. "I'm waiting for you to pack your things so Annabeth, Xoe and you and I can go." The responses from her statement made Piper worried. Isabelle sat up and looked at her girlfriend straight in the eyes. "I'm not going with you." She said plainly.
Piper laughed and sat next to her on her bed. "Nice joke, now pack so we can go." Isabelle shook her head. "I'm actually not going. I'm staying with te Avengers." This made Piper snort. "I'm sorry, what?" "I said that I'm not going, I'm staying here with Leo." Piper looked like she was on the verge of crying. "Isabelle, I thought you loved me." Isabelle shot up. "Don't you dare! I love you to whatever world I'm from and beyond! I love you so much! But that does not mean that I'm going with you everywhere you go, Piper." Piper slammed her hands on the bed table, making Isabelle rear back. "Piper McLean, I don't k kw what the hell is wrong with you, but I don't want to know, I suggest you leave." Piper looked at her and let the tears fall.
"Goodbye, Isabelle."
"Goodbye, Piper."
Xoe's POV
"Stand your ground, Xoe!" Natasha yelled as she kicked her in the side, knocking the twenty one year old back a few feet. "I'm sorry, I'm a bit out of focus." She grunted. Natasha grabbed a water bottle and threw it at Xoe, who caught it and drank it down. "Thanks." Nat nodded and drank a bottle herself. "You still going with Annabeth and them off the grid?" She asked. Xoe nodded and tossed Natasha the empty water bottle and she caught it and threw it into a bag. "Yeah. Why, you gonna miss me?" She asked, playfully punching the her shoulder. "Hah, you wish. Just reminding you you should get packed." Xoe shook her head. "Finished packing about an hour ago, took a nap, you woke me up and told me to train, I'm here now." Natasha laughed.
"I think I will miss you." Natasha said.
Xoe smiled. "I will, too."
Hazel's POV
She was feeling kind of weird, like she was queasy and unsteady. "I don't feel good." She said to Bruce who was looking at her DNA sample. He arched his eyebrows. "What's wrong?" He asked her. She was about to answer when Nico shadow traveled in. "Hazel, you okay?" He asked. She was kind of weary of why he knew she was feeling weird but was more focused on her blurry vision. "Hazel..." She thought sensed that she was about to pass out. Like all those years ago when she would pass out at the slightest mention of something of her old life. She saw only black and passed out.
"Hazel, Hazel!" Nico yelled, shaking her.
A few moments later Hazel shot up, a look of fear on her face. Te whole team was standing over her. Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Piper, Jason, Tony, Bruce, Steve, Natasha, Isabelle, Xoe, Clint and Nico. They were al, there, looking over her with concern and relief. "Hazel, are you okay?" A voice asked. She looked around the room to see Nico, her brother, her best friend, the only person that didn't see her as a crying girl that couldn't get over the loss of someone she'd lost, because she'd lost something worse. "Nico." She started,
"I remember."
