adding some last minute accessories, felix smiled gently to himself; he's going to go see changbin for the first time.

sure, in the technicality of things, felix had already met him, but this will be different.

it has to be.

everything over the past couple of weeks has been leading up to this moment, and felix wasn't sure what he would do with himself if it didn't work out.

felix wasn't afraid to admit that he was madly in love with a certain muscle man, he found it almost euphoric that he was able to fall for someone so deeply in such a short amount of time.

yes they had gotten off on the wrong foot, but doesn't that make everything just that little bit more special?

with cheeks blushed warm hues, felix looked in the mirror with a bright smile, checking over his outfit one last time, just to make sure that everything is perfect.

everything has to be perfect.

taking a look at the time, felix noticed that he was running out of time. with panic beginning to set in, felix quickly grabbed his phone and keys, before making his way out of his appartement.

sending a quick message to changbin, letting them know that they were on their way, felix got into his car with a pounding heart and sweaty hands.

changbin was stuck in an endless loop of pacing back and forth. he had arrived at the spot early; a late night mini golf place, where everything was glow in the dark.

he had found it when he was out on one of his many night walks, and always thought that it would be a great place to take someone out on a date, but when one thinks lowly of themselves, they deem themselves the label of: undateable.

but then felix came along, and changbin has never felt more free.

breathing came naturally and sleeping seemed like a second habit; everything just became so much easier and it was all thanks to felix—felix saved him—they made him feel weightless, to the point he couldn't remember the last time he felt so heavy.

turning his phone on, changbin was greeted with the breathtakingly beautiful sunshine that was felix. a lovesick smile made its way onto his face, and as he looked at the time, giddiness laced with panic made home in his bones.

4:57pm.

3 minutes to 5.

felix would be here soon.

having never really been out on a date before, changbin wasn't sure how he was supposed to act; how to behave, what were the proper mannerisms for a date?

he knew fretting would do nothing about it, but what else where they supposed to do?

30 minutes to 6.

felix was late.

changbin felt so, so stupid. he knew that he shouldn't have gotten his hopes up, and yet he did. he should've known; no one as perfect as felix would ever like him—felix was felix, and he was nothing.

"you're such a fucking idiot, changbin"

running his hands through his hair, changbin whispered to himself. he felt so pathetic; somehow felt worse than he ever has in his life.

checking the time once again, seeing the numbers switch from 17:34 to 17:35, changbin rolled his eyes, before shoving his phone in his pocket, and turned to face his way home; a heavy sigh leaving his lips.

"binnie!"

stopping in his tracks, changbin felt frozen to the spot.

"fuck, i am so, so, so sorry that i'm late, i got so caught up trying to look perfect for you that i lost track of time, and then there was so much traffic, and i know thats not an excuse; i should've payed more attention to the time but i didn't and im so sorry, please forgive me binnie"

felix...actually came?
he genuinely...showed up?
and he was late because...he wanted to look perfect for him?

"it'll never happen again, i promise! i-i'll do better next time. please, just please, forgive me changbin"

"next time..?"

"yes, next time! and the time after that, and the time after that, and so on so forth"

"so you're saying that there would be a second and third date?"

"and even more after that, just please look at me changbin"

turning around, changbin looked at felix, watching their eyes glisten as tears began to form.

"oh baby, please don't cry"

reaching up to his cheeks, felix felt the dampness on them, and proceeded to aggressively wipe his eyes.

"fuck, i didn't even realise i was crying, god i probably look so pathetic, i'm so sorr-"

changbin could only sigh as he walked up to felix and held his face in his hands.

"it's alright lix, i. forgive. you"

looking into felixs eyes, changbin felt the magnetic pull between them, and as he watched felix glance down at his lips, he couldn't help but close the distance between them.
