Two Months Later

You turned the pages of your book, eyes flicking across the words at top speed. Since you were always so busy, it had been ages since you properly read a book. Today was the weekend, and for once, you had nothing to do. So here you were, sitting in the bay window of your room, reading.

"Oi, Laska, did you hear me??"

Your head snapped up at the sound of your brother's voice from downstairs. Clearly, he said something, and you missed it.

The man next to you shifted, looking down, his breath rustling your hair gently. You glanced up at him, smiling at the handsome blond man.

"Did you hear him, love?" he murmured, his grip around your waist tightening.

"What did he say?" you sighed, burying your face in Felix's shoulder. "He might get mad if he thinks I was ignoring him again."

He boomed a laugh, poking you in the side. "Maybe I shouldn't tell you then," he teased.

You squirmed away from him with a giggle. "No fair! Tell me!"

Before Felix could reply, hurried footsteps pattered up the stairs, and there your brother stood, in the entryway, hands on his hips.

"Why are you ignoring me??" he complained, pouting. "Am I really that boring?"

You sighed, smiling in spite of yourself. "No, of course not Hyun. I'm sorry, I was reading my book and I guess I didn't hear you. What's up?"

Hyunjin looked back and forth between you and Felix. "You two look cozy. Can I join?"

"Ewe, no!" you exclaimed, slapping at Felix's arms at the thought. "Ask JJ to cuddle or something instead!"

Hyunjin rolled his eyes. "She would probably rather eat a raw cactus."

You laughed, but didn't object. Your friend didn't seem like the most physical touch-loving girl.

"Seriously, what did you want?" You demanded.

"I was just wondering if you wanted to go out for lunch," Hyunjin sighed loudly. "But clearly you didn't want to, so I'll just go back downstairs and sit alone."

Felix tsked at his friend. "You know you don't have to do that dude. Come back up here and hang with us."

"Yes, I wanna go! But I wanna finish my book, I'm almost done! And while you're here, you can tell me about those suspicious texts I found between you and JJ," you wiggled your eyebrows at your brother, but he just glared.

"I'm gonna shower, then maybe come back, if you're lucky," Hyunjin grumbled, before exiting.

"He'll be back," you laughed, and Felix nodded.

"I think he's dying to tell someone," he agreed. "He likes her a lot, doesn't he?"

"I've never seen him so smitten with someone." You pondered the thought of Hyunjin and JJ together. They would look really good together, even if they were complete opposites.

"How are the other girls?" Felix asked, running a hand through your freshly washed hair. The two of you had tried to sneak into the shower together that morning, but Hyunjin must have heard you, because he made a point of loudly inviting Felix downstairs for breakfast.

Hyunjin and you still lived together. He was becoming exceptionally successful in his interior design, creating beautiful spaces for dozens of celebrities, so he was incredibly busy. You weren't sure when or if you would move out, but you and Felix were still so early on in your relationship that neither of you were quite ready. But Felix was always over, making time to see you as often as possible. And when Hyunjin had time, the three of you hung out.

Hyunjin was getting better and better with accepting the idea of you two as a couple. He didn't even turn away when Felix kissed you on the cheek, and he didn't pretend to gag when he called you cute names. He still thought that Felix was sleeping in the guest room, and that you didn't do anything more than kiss. But what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. He would find out one day. Maybe.

"They're all doing really great." You smiled at the thought. "Mya is auditioning for the ballet for the main female role, beside Minho, and she's in the final round! And Riley is working on the new animated show that Chan is voice acting in. She said she can't talk about it too much, but she thinks its going to be a hit."

"Yes! Chan was telling me about that a bit, but I don't know much either. How often do you talk to the other girls?" he asked.

He was talking about the girls you had met back in Jeju.

While you hadn't seen any of the girls who still lived in Jeju since that last day of summer vacation, Robin had come to stay with you and Hyunjin for a few days. You two, along with Riley and Mya, had gone to the bar, catching up with drinks and appetizers.

"Robin has been streaming a lot recently, but as you know... we're working on a clothing line together! And JJ is modeling for it!"

"Seungmin is the photographer right?" Felix asked, chuckling. So many great opportunities had opened to you all through your new friendships.

"Yes, it's been so much fun, he's great. And JJ looks so pretty," you gushed.

Felix just listened, gazing down at you with a smile. That was one of the many things you loved about him. You could always tell he was listening to everything you had to say. He really cared.

"You've been so busy, love," he observed, kissing your cheek. "What with that and our song."

You nodded, nestling closer to your boyfriend. "But I love it. I honestly can't believe it's worked out as perfectly as it has."

Two weeks after you all got back from Jeju, you had pushed Felix to send his song in to a bunch of producers. Most of them had come back with a no, and Felix had been crushed. But then he remembered that he had a best friend who could help him. Changbin, who was a producer and had been a strong believer in Felix's music for years, sent it to his boss, and they immediately sent Felix an offer. For a LOT of money.

Felix had immediately said yes, thanking them both repeatedly.

And even better than that, they wanted you and Felix to come into the studio and film a music video with them. And Han was coming in to work on some of the instrumentals for the song!

This past couple months had been a crazy ride.

"And what about the other girls? Is Tessa still at the bookstore?" Felix questioned.

"Yeah, she's doing great! She's gotten in big with Jeongin and his schoolteacher friends who need to bulk order kids books for their class. And now, Tessa is begging Renee to come work with her on her finances, since Tessa is terrible at math."

"That must mean she's doing really well," Felix observed, adding, "I can't believe that the trip is coming up."

"Mhm," you smiled. "I can't wait, I love fall so much. And Lanhua has been working so hard organizing it, I know it's going to be amazing. I've been planning our halloween costume already."

"She's one of the most organized people I've met," Felix laughed. "Unlike you."

"Hey!" you exclaimed, mock-offended. "I'm clean! And I like organizing!"

"You do try, don't you," he conceded, sliding a hand under your chin, bringing his lips down to yours. "I like that you're a bit messy, it's cute."

You pouted, pulling your lip out and glaring up at him. "Okay, that's just rude. Are you trying to win me back with that line?"

Felix grinned, pecking your lips again. "Hey, why would I do that?"

You sighed, pulling him closer and squinting up at him suspiciously. "Well, it's working. It's so unfair. You're just too handsome."

"I gotta use what I got, don't I?" Felix winked at you, and you felt your cheeks burn. Even though he was your boyfriend, you couldn't help getting flustered by him.

"If you two could stop being so mushy, I might even think about paying for dinner," Hyunjin had appeared at the door again, wearing sweats and a t-shirt. His hair was damp as he glared at you, before coming to stand beside your desk.

You slowly removed yourself from Felix's arms, shaking your head at your brother.

"I can't believe we have to live in such close quarters with you," you teased. "Are you telling me we have to go camping with this guy?"

"If JJ wasn't going to be there, I bet he wouldn't go camping with us at all," Felix joked.

"So not true," he protested, unable to keep a straight face at the mere mention of your friend's name.

You rolled your eyes, but reached your hand out expectantly. "Okay, now you can show us those texts I saw. And tell me what they mean."

"I'm never letting you see those texts!" Hyunjin yelped, shoving his phone deeper into his pocket. "You and your bullying just proved why I shouldn't."

"Hyun!" You complained. "So unfair! Don't you want to share your love life with your little sister?"

"No! Actually, you're the person I want to share my love life with the least!"

"Show them to me, then!" Felix offered, and Hyunjin shook his head harder.

"Hell no man! You'll just show her!" he huffed.

"Well, I guess that leaves me no choice." Felix stood up, putting his hand out to him.

Hyunjin gaped up at him.

"Lix?" You looked between the two of them.

Without warning, Felix tackled his best friend to the ground, knocking his legs out from under him. Your cup of Thai tea fell off the desk, sending plastic and ice shards flying.

"Felix, what the hell!!" Hyunjin kicked wildly, trying to escape. "What are you doing??"

"If Laska wants to see the texts, then you'll show her the texts!" Felix exclaimed, dodging the flying legs, and lunging for Hyunjin's pocket. "Plus, I'm your best friend! I deserve to see what girl you're texting!"

You covered your mouth, staring down at both men. Had you ever seen Felix do something quite so unhinged before? He was certainly energetic, but this was unexpected.

Well, when in Rome...

"Get him, Lix!" you cried, throwing confusion to the wind and just going with it.

"Laska, don't take his side!" Hyunjin cried. Felix was using his taekwondo skills, which you didn't know he still remembered, to pin your brother's arms behind his back.

As you gazed down at the two most important people in your life, the sun filtered through the window, illuminating the three of you.

The two of them continued to thrash around on the ground, and you looked up at the sky, shielding your eyes. A small smile graced your lips. You loved these two men.

Your life with both of them was chaos, case in point. But it was a happy chaos. And in your opinion, that was the best kind of life there was.

"Laska, get down here and help me!" Hyunjin demanded, snapping you out of your nostalgic stupor. And before you could react, he reached for you, sweeping your legs out from under you and pulling you into the mess.

"Hwang Hyunjin!" you yelled in his ear, pummeling him with your legs as hard as you could. "I hate you, why would you bring me into this?"

"Too late, Laska!" Felix exclaimed, grinning at you, eyes sparkling. He was trying to hold Hyunjin still while simultaneously grabbing at his phone. "Just take the phone and we win!"

"Aww c'mon Laska!" Hyunjin pleaded, giving you his best attempt at puppy-dog eyes. "You don't need to see the texts! You could just ask JJ yourself!"

You raised an eyebrow at him. "Since when has that look worked on me? I wanna see the texts now!" And you sat on Hyunjin's thrashing body, retrieving the phone from his pocket and holding it up in the air triumphantly. "Fuck yes!!" you cried.

Felix immediately let go of Hyunjin, and your brother scrambled to his feet. His hair was mussed, his shirt pulled up halfway, exposing the bottom of his chest.

"You two are literally the worst!"

You grinned at Felix, who winked back.

"Oh fuck it, just read the texts. I don't care. I'm just... going to get ready for lunch. Be ready in fifteen minutes," Hyunjin threw his hands up in the air and left.

When you two were alone again, you set the phone down on the desk.

Felix raised his eyebrows at you. "Aren't you going to read those? I fought for my life to get them."

You grinned, shaking your head. You moved closer to him, wrapping your arms around his neck, gazing up at his handsome face. The sun hit his eyes just right, turning them to a soft milk chocolate.

"Oh I will, just not yet."

Felix tilted his head in confusion, but before he could speak, you pulled him down for a kiss.

"I've just got something much more important to do right now," you murmured into his ear.

And you held him close.
