𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 awkward for the two friends. mostly because todoroki just didn't know what to say to the female anymore. how was 'your nose is cute' a good idea?

it wasn't.

the half-cold and half-hot male is currently sitting in the common area with his friends– y/n excluded. she's working on something that she doesn't want her friends too see yet, so she's in her dorm room painting. again.

todoroki sighs to himself, his head leaning on his right hand while he listens to uraraka explaining something. he doesn't really care, which might come off as rude, but he's just been thinking about his best friend for so long and he can't help it but feel bad.

why did it have to end like this? why did he say that her nose was cute? who says such a thing like that? apparently todoroki thinks it's a good idea.

and yet again, it wasn't.

the two haven't been talking for four days now. sometimes they talk in a group, but it's not like they get eye contact with each other. they used to do that, and todoroki liked it. her eyes are so pretty. but now with him acting like a complete idiot, he just can't look her in the eyes anymore.

"todoroki," midoriya says after a while, then nudging his friend his shoulder. "are you doing alright?"

the male looks up, head out of his hands and his eyes focusing on midoriya. todoroki shrugs at his words, looking into the direction of the staircase right after.

"ah, you're thinking about l/n, aren't you?"

todoroki focuses his sight on midoriya again and nods a little. "yeah, maybe."

"aw, todoroki! brighten up! i think it's time for the next step, then! what do you think?" uraraka says, smiling at her friend and sitting up straight.

tsu grabs her phone and opens the internet app. the site immediately pops up, making the two girls happy. tsu starts reading the site with uraraka following too.

"the next step is to tease her," tsu says, looking up to her friend. "that might be a hard step for you."

todoroki groans a little, crossing his arms. "this is stupid. this is never going to work. but you know, it can't get worse than this, can it?"

"oi! what does it say?"

midoriya jumps up from next to todoroki and runs towards the two girls. uraraka starts to blush when midoriya plops down next to her, leaning over her a little to look at tsu her phone screen.

"oh my..." he says, starting to laugh. midoriya places his hand in front of his mouth and looks at todoroki.

"what?" the half-and-half male asks, frowning. he stands up from the couch as well. "what does the site say?"

midoriya laughs, "i quote: 'teasing is the easiest way to create a sexual tension between you and the girl you like'. ah, how great! this will be good."

todoroki his eyes widen and he shakes his head. "what?! i'm not trying to create a sexual tension between us!"

"you're such a pussy, todoroki."

the whole group is in shock as they turn their heads towards iida. did those words really come from his mouth just now? iida, out of all people, said that?

iida widens his eyes, "wait! no, wait. that's not what i meant! i mean– oh whatever. but todoroki, like you said, what is there to lose? you're already friends and you've told her that her nose was cute. i don't think you can fuck it up even more."

"thanks for the encouraging words, iida."

midoriya, tsu and uraraka start to laugh at the two guys. todoroki rolls his eyes at their laughter, then sitting down on the couch again.

"alright, what do i have to do?"

"yay!" the brown-haired girl shouts, jumping up from the couch. tsu chuckles slighty at her friend next to her, but can't help it and feel a little excited too.

"the site says you have to start teasing her. it gets her interested in you because it shows them that you're not afraid of risking confrontation."

"oh that reminds me of the time that todoroki went crazy in the hospital and thought he was the hand crusher or something," midoriya says, to which iida starts to laugh. the green-haired lad starts to laugh too, mimicking todoroki's words.

"oh, yeah! that was great."

todoroki looks away, feeling embarassed. "can you guys stop? i thought we were supposed to get a girl to like me."

"right!" uraraka says, then turning to her friend. "just tease her with words. i think you'll be fine. crack a joke here and there, tease her about her performances at training or something... just make sure you're not being rude."

todoroki nods at uraraka her words. "alright, i think i can do that."

but boy, what was he wrong.

a few days later, the people of class 1-a are standing on ground gamma. it's time for their hero training. they're all in their hero costumes, ready for their teacher to tell them what to do.

todoroki is standing next to midoriya and y/n. he watches as all might and aizawa walks onto the school grounds, then explaining what the plan is for the day.

a while later, todoroki, y/n, kirishima, ojiro and hagakure are teamed up to fight bakugo, shoji, yaoyorozu, midoriya and jiro. they need to capture the flag and bring it back to their base– the same counts for the other group.

"so, do we have a plan?" kirishima asks, looking at his teammates. y/n pouts her lips, then looking at their surroundings.

"we need to capture their flag and we need to protect ours so how are we going to do that?" y/n says to her team, looking at kirishima in particular. "you can go head on, maybe it's a good idea that you get their flag."

kirishima nods at her words. "right! i think hagakure is great for it too, since she's invisible. maybe ojiro can come with us because once we got the flag, he can move faster and bring it back to our base."

"oi! that leaves me and todoroki to protect the flag then. i think that's great."

todoroki nods at his friend's words, then looking up. "now we wait for the start signal," he mumbles.

he's been thinking about something. how is he going to tease the girl then? he's not the one to crack jokes, and he certainly doesn't know how to tease her in any other way.

"alright, let's go!"

the start signal goes off and kirishima, ojiro and hagakure immediately start to run towards the opposite direction. they came up with a plan to capture the flag, and todoroki and y/n trust them in doing their job. meanwhile they will look around and try not to get their flag captured.

"if you spot anyone, tell me so i can turn into my dragon form," y/n says, eyeing every corner to see if no one's there.

"will do," todoroki mumbles, looking around as well. they don't have the eyes to see where anyone is like the other team has. now the only thing they have to do is wait and see if anyone tries to capture their flag.

"you know," todoroki starts, not really knowing what to say next. but you know, it's a start for maybe a joke or a way to tease her.

y/n looks up, "what's up?" she asks the bicolored male, watching him look around the ground gamma. it's silent, and maybe a bit too silent.

"your quirk is cool, but isn't it kinda creepy?" he says, then looking at the girl with a smile.

y/n her eyes widen and she bites her lip. "what do you mean? is it really that creepy?" she whispers, feeling a bit insecure. why is he saying this? her quirk can't be that bad, right?

"well, you're a dragon! it's cool but maybe terrifying too for little kids, you know! some might say it's not hero worthy, and more villain like."

the girl looks away. "if you think that way, why are you even friends with me?" she says, clenching her fists. "you're being an asshole, todoroki."

"y/n, wait–"

the girl turns into a dragon and todoroki's eyes widen. "y/n!" he shouts, but the girl scoffs a little.

"i'm scary this way, right? get the fuck away from me, then."

and without anything else being said, the girl jumps up and flies away. she scans the area, trying to find some people while being done with the guy. if he thinks she's scary, she will show him she's more hero worthy than him, that fucking asshole.

thirty meters beneath the girl, todoroki realizes he fucked up badly this time, even worse than before.

how is he going to fix this mess?
