Mother once told me the sacred story of our origin, the tale of Adam and Eve, where we are made by an omnipotent being; we, who were molded into a breathing being capable of seeing the beauty of the rest of God's creation, Adam and Eve were once told that they existed to appreciate the nature of life and served as the peak of the concept God ever created.
However, Adam and Eve diverted their gaze in the path of sinโa snake, the chariot of evilness, hushed the affirmations of curiosity and defiance as the two contemplated whether to pursue the matterโthe hunger for knowledge and to satiate their blooming curiosityโor to follow the words of the omnipresent and live the way they should be.
A single bite was all it took to gain the knowledge God forbade them to grasp. It was quite disappointing yet somehow intriguing to see a creation of their own succumb to the whispers of a wretched being and defy their wordsโhumans became a different living being to others. That day, Adam and Eve were exiled out of Paradiseโtheir homeโand settled in the lands to cultivate the life that was left of them.
The forbidden knowledge at their disposal soon spread throughout the land; Adam and Eve procreated, from a group of four to hundreds of descendants enough to start a civilization. The knowledge was enough to spout various ideas in Eve's childrenโlust, jealousy, greed, and the idea of sinning became the pinnacle of humanity.
" So do tell, how in the midst of life can we
truly say we are God's favorite? How to prove that
execration of devils is what we are meant to do? "
According to the Biblical Records, man was brought forth into existence by the vision of Adam and Eve, the harbingers of life and sin, on the seventh day of creation, just to certainly feel the marvelous familiarity of existence. Humans may be brought into existence out of giddiness, pity, curiosity, or the genuineness of the all-powerful being; however, at the end of the day, we are no different from the burning angels, who continuously fall into the depths of abyss, burning away the flicker of their gifted light as they are enveloped in the cocoon of darkness. It is seen that man shall rise in the pits of agony as the sole root of all, an instrument to be played in the unparalleled and egoistical journey of their fate directed to the so-called home of hell.
" I must ask again, why do you execrate the devils
if we are the mother to their manifestations? "
The devils are unnecessary creatures manifested in the world, a tainted representation of the fears corroding the cosmos has to offer. Creatures vaguely described as maniacally, sadistic, and hyperactive blood- thirsting killersโa shame in honesty, they are like that. However, no matter the denial, it truly is hypocrisy that the inspiration for the beings we gruesomely fear is ourselves.
" such feeble creatures have no necessary
measures to remain existing in this world,
and it is more than an enough and logical
reason to destroy every last bit of them. "
I certainly believed humans indulged in the habit of spewing lies, a prominent characteristic of why our existence was ever favorable in the eyes of the devil. In the current setting, what role of existence is even worse in this rotting haven of ours? Is it luck to be human, as we are defined as being saved from the corruption the devils have? or is it far greater to be a devil in a world where they exist due to the supposed embodiment of glory called humans, who are in truth filled with corruption and by far define that devils are just the product of their fruitful acts?
" if you are to have a child; someone you see daily
and someone of your own blood, what will you
do if Makima were to say the child shall be killed
because it is a devil based on the human standards
of what it means to be a devil? "
The way God became the progenitor of life to the way Adam and Eve are to evil and humans are to devils makes me wonder if there are even any differences and concrete definitions that humans fit the description of the word human only and the same way towards devils. Do we even have what it takes to be solely defined as humans and not the messiah of evil? Aren't we just devils with no horns and gruesome features? If we are to say that we are humans, aren't we becoming too entitled to be classified as good?
" I don't think that is somewhat realistic. however,
if the baby truly is a devil then I have no choice but to
exterminate it as long as it has been proven that being
had killed somebody and bring chaos to our life "
Tell me, what is even right or wrong in this world? Should the righteousness you call still be deemed holy and absolute even if it has already rotten along the way? Should the wrong remain in the shadows even if it merely exists for a considered good cause? I must admit, humans were and still are funny. They fantasize about certain ideas that are extremely unrealistic at all. What are they even supposed to do with them?
In a place where humans and the devil coexist, dreaming of becoming holy and being God's favorite is just a feasible manifestation of greed for sin and the desire to perish. How did we even become too confident to say that we deserve to live and devils are left to die?
" so you correlate human behaviors to differentiate what
is acceptable or not in life. but aren't we just the same?
crimes, rape, assault, murder, and yet, we don't get killed
for the punishment of being a danger in the concept of life
instead, we die in the hands of various devils because they
needed us to sustain their life. As a progenitor of the Devils
The desire does motivate us to do something to an extent, a movement to the point our kind perish far greater than the counts of our existence. We ludicrously fall for this, and thus humans have come to fear for the outcome of their unrealistic adventures. If humans were told to kill themselves for the benefit of the rebirth of the world, I must conclude that no human would even bother to consider staying present in that job. Selfishness is our friend; it is us; it is our reflection and representation in the falling haven of God. So how are we much different from the devils anyway? We are entities who live in the darkness of the world just like them; we are sinners; we are failures; and yet, we are also glorified products of the omnipotent creator.
" how about you miyashita, do you feel a certain pettiness on
those filth's? It sounded as if a little of empathy is
there for them "
So much of us hated the devils, and yet we forgot to consider that we are their creatorsโtheir initiators and the feeders of their growing crave for chaos through the tempting tainted dreams of ours. We do not know any better; we hate and feel disguised by the devils, yet we still pursue tainted ideas behind everyone's back. If it is the truth that you see as the form of righteousness, a truth that we aren't to blame for this chaos, then that shall define that truth as absolute, and no matter how distorted it may be, the truth will remain righteous and correct in the eyes of everyone, right?
" I believe you've misunderstood, I do not pity such
creature. But rather I stand in a firm belief that man
and devil shall make no difference. "
You see, in the gamble of life everything has its
origin and I must say, humanity prevails in lying
towards themselves from such a wondrous outcome
they've made. Victimizing themselves for a fact that
they're the perpetrator to begin with.
They say the omnipresent entity created us for good; then how come our fruitful products existed? They say what God created shall be lived for a certain purpose; does that mean the loss of our existence in the hands of our byproductsโthe devilsโmust happen, for it is what is believed to be concluded by the utmost presence of all? Or was it merely a fact that we are not the pinnacle definition of life because we are flawed from the journey Adam and Eve traversed? Then how can God still let us live?
" Miyashita-san my opinions aren't probably much
deeper than your views with life, but I think that
we or I am at least responsible in killing these devils
as I took the oath when I became a devil hunter.
Also, I firmly believe in the idea that no matter if
we are the ones responsible in their existence the
least we could do is take initiative to protect ourselves
not everyone is responsible for the manifestation of
a specified devil and yet, they suffer from it. "
I see, to be deemed responsible for an action even if you don't perceive or believe the whole picture is a way to alleviate the weight of your sins. Is that what makes humans different from devils? We are capable of finding ways to "redeem" ourselves just to be a little bit higher than the rest; we have this human-like concept of forgiveness and cleansing through merit. So it is perceived that killing a devil is something good? It seems we truly are one gaslighting white knight: we create the problem, suffer through it, and solve it ourselves.
If no one is there then who will protect us rather
than ourselves right? I feel no remorse for their
deaths, It's how it is supposed to be. They die in
our hands and we die by theirs- that's how life is.
Pity in such beings will do no good to us, it is our
nature to hunt and slay them- they are mindless
and solely driven by the tainted desires we as you
said, the sinners have made "
