Y/n's POV
I woke up to alarm clock quickly turning it off. Shocker, Adam was still sleeping.
"Adam wake up! Today's the day!" I said shaking him. He groaned a little while I shook his shoulder. He sleepily knocked my arm off his shoulder.
"We don't gotta meet Charlie yet." He mumbled.
"Yeah but we do in like two hours, you gotta get all fancied up and part your hair to make a good impression." I teased him.
"Don't act like you don't mess up my hair every time I get it it right." He said.
"It's funny to mess it up, but that's not the point. Get up so we can be ready and meet Charlie on time." I said.
"Can we just skip the first day?" He said barely opening one eye.
"No Banks we gotta make a good impression, if you don't get up I will drag you out." I said. He just looked at me for a second and closed his eye.
"Don't say I didn't warn ya." I said getting out of bed. I grabbed his arm and yanked him out of the bed. I've never seen his eyes open that quickly. He hit the ground with a loud thump.
"What was that?" Georgia yelled.
"Just Adam!" I hollered back.
"What if you broke my arm doing that?" Adam asked dramatically.
"Well then I guess you'd have a broke arm." I said shrugging. He attempted to lazily kick me but I moved out of the way.
"Just get up." I said as he was still laying on the ground.
"Usually I'm having to drag you out of bed, when did you change career paths?" He asked looking up at me.
"Whenever I'm actually excited for what's happening, I'll wake up. Otherwise, no." I said.
"Because that makes total sense." He said sitting up.
"Yup, total sense." I said walking to my dresser.
"How do you think today's gonna go?" Adam asked.
"I bet we show up, get shoved in a locker, and rot away cause no one will let us out." I said digging through my clothes.
"Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine." He said laughing a little.
"What you need something more realistic?" I asked.
"Preferably, Yes." Adam said.
"Alright I bet we show up, go through classes with horrible teachers, either love or hate the new coach, and get picked on by upperclassmen." I said.
"Why would be picked on by upperclassmen?" Adam asked.
"Cause it's like tradition, and I bet some will hate us more than normal." I said.
"Why will the hate us more?" Adam asked.
"Picture this Banksie, you're raised on daddy's money your whole life. Expensive everything, treated like royalty, rich kid. You think the whole world revolves around you, even though it don't. They're gonna think that were scum because we just got our scholarships taking up any spots for junior high hockey there, or whatever they call it. Even though they all got there off money and luck, they're gonna think we don't deserve it even though we have talent. It's destined to happen." I said.
"How much have you thought about this?" He asked as he found his clothes.
"A lot." I responded. He shook his head smiling and walked off to the bathroom. I closed the door behind him and began getting ready. It only took me a little longer cause I was debating on how I should get ready in general. Once I was done I went downstairs to join Adam and Georgia.
"Damn Adam look at how hot your girlfriend is." Georgia said as I made it into the living room with them. I blushed a little as Adam looked up to me. He scanned me up and down as I walked towards him, I was failing to hide a smile. Adam didn't look too bad either. I sat down between them and looked to the TV, and to my surprise it wasn't friends or fresh prince, it was some random show.
"When are you two leaving?" Georgia asked.
"In about an hour." I said.
"This must be what if feels like when a mother's kids move to college, oh jeez I put mom through this." Georgia said.
"Georgie you realize your my sister, not my momma right?" I asked.
"Yes of course stupid I realize that, it's just you're actually a pretty cool person and you're leaving me today to go off to a private school. I must be feeling like a mom would, cause Banks feels like a brother moving out, you're different." She said.
"Jeez you really care about us don't you?" I said.
"Of course I do! I live with you, and he's here almost as much as you. I care whether I want to or not." Georgia said.
"Well if you're home some weekend and we can visit you we will." I said.
"Promise?" She asked.
"Pinky promise." I said sticking out my pinky. She laughed a little at my gesture.
"I haven't done one of these since 4th grade." She said completing it.
"I can't imagine a life without pinky promises." I said.
"She makes me do a pinky promise at least once a week." Adam pipped in.
"I don't make you, you choose to." I said.
"It's either agree, or make you mad. I don't wanna see you mad, cause you're scary when you're mad." Adam said.
"Yeah one time she was mad at me so she threw a spoon at me cause I wore her converse out." Georgia said.
"Ok in my defense they were my brand new white converses, and you got dirt on them." I said.
"It was just dirt." Georgia said.
"Yeah we established that, except they were brand new and white, you left a permanent mark. I can go get them and show you." I said.
"No I believe you, but still." Georgia said.
"But still what?" I asked.
"You didn't have to throw a spoon at me!" Georgia said.
"It was the easiest, I seen you in them, me eating cereal with spoon, put two and two together and boom. Throw spoon at Georgia." I said.
"Y/n you can't throw spoons at people!" Georgia said.
"You're Georgia not people!" I said.
"You're crazy ya know that?" Georgia said.
"Yeah I know, think it runs through the family. My cousin Misty stabbed her boyfriend in the head with a fork, he had to get stitches and everything. She's in jail I think." I said. Adam made a choke sound from beside me. I turned to see him looking a little scared.
"You're not uh, thinking about following in her footsteps right?" Adam asked.
"No, I would never stab you with a fork Banksie." I said. Adam nodded a little nervously, causing Georgia to laugh a little.
"Oh I about forgot to tell you guys, there's donuts in the kitchen." Georgia said.
"Sweet." I said getting up.
"Will you get me one?" Adam asked.
"How much am I getting paid?" I asked.
"I got chewed up gum, take it or leave it." Adam said.
"Uh I'll leave it." I said. I walked into the kitchen and got me and Adam some donuts. I walked back in the room and handed Adam his. It was only about 40 minutes til we left....
