At Y/N’s house, a peaceful atmosphere enveloped the garden, the soft rustling of cherry blossoms filling the air as Y/N walked toward her father, who was sitting under the tree. She knelt in front of him, her hands still holding the gifts she had brought from the Southern lord.

“Y/N!” her father called out in surprise, his voice filled with warmth. Her mother and grandmother, hearing the exclamation, walked toward the garden, but stopped at the gateway, giving the father and daughter a moment of privacy.

“Father! I’ve brought you the sword of the Northern general—!” Y/N’s voice was excited, but it wavered as she presented the items. “And the Crest of the Southern lord! The gifts to honor the Inoue family.”

But before she could say anything more, her father dropped the gifts, his hands trembling with emotion, and pulled her into a tight embrace.

“The greatest gift in honor is having you for a daughter,” he said, his voice thick with emotion. “I’ve missed you so.”

Y/N, overcome with feelings she hadn’t realized were bottled up, melted into the hug, her arms wrapping around her father in return. “I’ve missed you too, Papa,” she whispered, her voice filled with love.

From the gateway, her mother and grandmother watched the reunion. Granny Inoue, with her arms crossed, couldn’t help but comment with a hint of disappointment, “Huh. Great. She brings home a sword. If you ask me, she should’ve brought home a man!”

Her mother simply gave her mother-in-law a bemused look of disbelief, shaking her head at her unyielding expectations.

Just then, a voice interrupted the moment.

“Excuse me, does Y/N Inoue live here?” Yuki’s voice rang out, causing the two women in the gateway to blink in confusion. Granny Inoue and Y/N’s mother exchanged dumbstruck glances and then silently pointed toward the garden, still processing the situation.

“Thank you,” Yuki said with a polite bow of his head before walking toward the father and daughter.

As he approached, he quickly bowed to Y/N’s father, his nervousness evident in the way he stumbled over his words. “Honorable Zhou Inoue! I—Y/N—uhhhh… you forgot your sword. Well, actually, it’s your father’s sword, isn’t it, I mean…”

Y/N, with a soft chuckle, looked over at him with amusement in her eyes. “Would you like to stay for dinner?” she asked, her voice playful yet genuine.

Granny Inoue, watching from a distance, couldn’t resist shouting out, “Would you like to stay forever?!”

Yuki, caught off guard, sweat dropping in mild embarrassment, gave a nervous laugh before replying, “Dinner would be great.” He glanced at Y/N, who was smiling warmly, feeling both awkward and at ease in her presence.

And just like that, the reunion became a quieter, more lighthearted one as the family gathered, the evening setting in with laughter and shared moments. The cherry blossoms continued to fall around them as the bonds of family and friendship grew stronger.
