Vance groaned, shoving his phone in his pocket. He sort of wished Bruce would have told him why he needed help. Why's he even on Linebacker anyway? That's not even near Billy's house. He thought as he turned, making his way across the center of Marle and Oak street.

He was about a block from Linebacker when he heard a loud shriek. Bruce, he thought, immediately turning his walk to a sprint. Hell, 'sprint' couldn't even describe how fucking fast he was running.

When he finally made it to 58th, he saw Bruce on the ground, holding his eye tightly as he screamed.

He rushed over to the boy, kneeling down in front of him. "Bruce--" he said, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder. He flinched a bit at the sudden touch, and Vance removed his hand. "Hey, calm down. It's just me, alright?" He said, trying his best to stay calm, despite the tons of blood that just seemed to be gushing from what Vance assumed to be his eye, since he was holding it.

"Vance?" Bruce muttered weakly, forcing his other eye, which was horribly swollen by the way, open. "Vance!" He said, jumping on the boy. "Ow-- shit," Vance groaned when he was knocked down on his ass, Bruce technically on top of him, bawling his eyes out.

Vance didn't hesitate in hugging the boy back, trying his best to calm him down. Thankfully, it worked. "Here, let me see your eye." Vance said, gently moving the boy's hand away from his eye.

It was definitely bad, but Vance couldn't just say that. "Alright, we're going to the fucking hospital, and you're telling me what happened on our way up there, you hear me?" He said sternly as he stood up, offering Bruce his hand, which he took, being lifted to his feet. "Alright.."
