No one said anything as the two Black's came back inside. You could see the puffiness in their eyes as if they had been crying. Sirius goes back to his table, not saying anything and only giving his friends a tight smile. He looks at Moony and goes in for a hug. They stay like that in each others arms for a while. Meanwhile, Regulus goes to sit down. He looks at everyone and doesn't say anything. Someone grabs his hand. He looks to see Pandora, who only gives a sweet smile. He lays his head on her shoulder. The movie continues.

As Wanda suffers in pain from the electric arrow Barton had hit her with

Pietro Maximoff:
What can I do?

Wanda Maximoff:
Ah, it hurts.

Pietro Maximoff:
I'm gonna kill him. I'll be right back.

Wanda Maximoff:
No. I'm over it. I want...I want to finish the plan.
[looking at the Quinjet where Banner is waiting]
I want the big one.

Both Bruce and Wanda cringed away from the screen. Bruce feels himself about to hulk out. He gets up abruptly and leaves. Not wanting to endanger anyone. Wanda can only look down at the table not wanting to meet anyone's eyes.

Stark corners Ultron in the shipyard

Ultron:
Ah, the Vibranium's getting away.

Tony Stark:
And you're not going anywhere.

Ultron:
Of course not, I'm already there. You'll catch on. But first, you might need to catch Dr. Banner.

Stark angrily shoots Ultron and flies off to find Banner who's turned in to the Hulk and ready to wreak havoc on the nearest city

Tony Stark:
News or footage, keyword: Hulk.
[he sees news footage of Hulk destroying the city]
Natasha, I could really use a lullaby.

Barton is sat with Natasha and Regulus who are still stuck in their vision

Sirius throws Regulus a worried look. He wishes to comfort him but knows best not to.

Clint Barton:
Well, that's not gonna happen. Not for a while. The whole team is down, you got no back up here.

Tony Stark:
I'm calling in VERONICA.

As Hulk is wreaking havoc on the nearest city Stark Tony comes brings out his Hulkbuster armor to stop him

Tony Stark:
Alright everybody, stand down!
[to Hulk]
You listening? That little witch is messing with your mind. You're stronger than her, you're smarter than her, you're Bruce Banner.

Hulk roars in anger

Tony Stark:
Right, right, right! Don't mention puny Banner. [Hulk throws a car at Stark and attacks him] Okay. [they start fighting, throwing each other around] In the back? Dick move, Banner. [they battle it out more but Stark is struggling to beat Hulk] VERONICA, gimme a hand. [as Hulk destroyed one of Stark's arms, VERONICA sends in a new one and Stark uses it to repeatedly punch Hulk] Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep! [picking up Hulk] Okay, pal, we're gonna get you out of town. [as they head towards a building] No, not that way, not that way! [they crash through the building] Come on, Bruce! You gotta work with me! [Hulk continues to battle with him; as he stops an elevator, to the people inside] Everybody out! Going to get ugly! [after he knocks down Hulk] I'm sorry. [Hulk attacks Stark and pulls out parts of the Hulkbuster armor] Damage report. [the damaged computer buzzes a reply] That's comprehensive. Show me something. [the computer shows him the building ahead is clear of civilians] How quickly can we buy this building? [Stark drops Hulk through the building completely destroying it; at the same time the army arrives to intervene, as Hulk comes out of Wanda's mind-hold Stark knocks him out cold]

Everyone is staring at the screen in shock. The looks of the innocent people sent shock through their bodies. No one knew what to say. That alone was terrifying. For a moment, everyone remembered this was real life. It wasn't some action-filled movie. It was these people's lives. It was Regulus' black life.

James did not enjoy the fact that Regulus favored himself with these types of people. He should involve himself with people like him and Lily. He imagined himself in a farm house, waking up to the smell of tea and breakfast. He would go into the kitchen to find a heavy pregnant Lily cooking. Sitting at the table would be Regulus reading a book. Yes, that would be perfect.

With everybody back on the Quinjet, free from their respective visions

Wanda looks down in shame.

Maria Hill:
The news is loving you guys. Nobody else is. There's been no official call for Banner's arrest, but it's in the air.

Tony Stark:
Stark Relief Foundation?

Maria Hill:
Already on the scene. How's the team?

Tony Stark:
Everyone's...we took a hit. We'll shake it off.

Maria Hill:
Well for now I'd stay in stealth mode, and stay away from here.

Tony Stark:
So, run and hide?

Maria Hill:
Until we can find Ultron, I don't have a lot else to offer.

Tony Stark:
Neither do we.
[he ends the call and switches off the monitor; to Barton, who's flying the Quinjet]
Hey, you wanna switch out?

Clint Barton:
No, I'm good. If you wanna get some kip, now's a good time, cause we're still a few hours out.

Tony Stark:
A few hours from where?

Clint Barton:
A safe house.

Clint's breath hitches. He didn't want this to be shown. This was supposed to be his family's safe haven, but now it was going to be broadcast to a bunch of strangers.

The Quinjet lands outside a large farmhouse and they all walk towards the house

James looks at the screen with wide eyes. This was exactly what his dream house looked like. He turns to Regulus and stares for a tiny bit. He then turns to Lily, who stares at the screen with no internet.

She thought the house was nice, but she would rather live somewhere close to other people. A nice, simple house in a simple neighborhood would be just fine.

James smiles to himself. He thinks about his perfect future.

Thor:

Tony Stark:
A safe house?

Clint Barton:
Let's hope.
[they all enter the house]
Honey, I'm home.

Barton's heavily pregnant wife, Laura, walks in from the kitchen

The Avengers look at Clint, surprised. They were not expecting that at all.

Clint Barton:
Hi. Company. Sorry I didn't call ahead.

Laura Barton:
Hey.

Tony Stark:
[Laura kisses Barton; to Thor]
This is an agent of some kind.

Clint Barton:
[introducing his wife to the team]
Gentleman, this is Laura.

Laura Barton:
I know all your names.

They all look at her awkwardly

Clint Barton:
Ooh, incoming.

Barton's children, Cooper and Lila, run in

Lila Barton:
Dad!

The Avengers look even more shocked. Reggie and Natasha smile at the screen.

Barton picks up his daughter

Clint Barton:
Hi, sweetheart!
[kissing the top of his son's head]
Hey, buddy! How you guys doing? Ooh...

Tony Stark:
[to the others as they watch with surprise]
These are...smaller agents.

Clint Barton:
Look at your face! Oh, my goodness!

Lila Barton:
Did you bring Auntie Nat and Uncle Reggie?

Both offscreen Reggie and Nat smile brightly at the mention. Oh, how they loved their niece and nephews.

Natasha Romanoff:
Why don't you hug her and find out?

Regulus:
Hey pumpkin

Lila rushes towards Natasha, who picks her up in her arms. Regulus gives her a kiss on the cheek.

Regulus:
Is?

Laura tilts her head towards a twelve-year-old who was agitated while speaking to someone on the phone line.

Both Regulus brighten up at the sight. Wanting to see as much of their son as possible.

Boy:
No, Hermione, he hasn't been replying to any of my letters.

Pause

Boy:
He never gave me his house number. I don't even think he's allowed to be on the phone.

Pause

Boy:
Try asking Ron.

Regulus sneaks up behind the boy. He pats him on the shoulder, making him jump and turn around.

Everyone laughs at the scene.

Percy:
DAD!

The other Avengers, minus Nat, Steve, and Clint, look equally surprised, just like two seconds ago.

Bucky was cautious about meeting Percy. He didn't want to hurt the boy. He was another part of Regulus. one that he would love and protect.

Percy:
I have to go to Hermione. Bye

He hangs up the phone and hugs his father tightly.

Sirius smiles at the screen. He wished to meet his nephew one day. James has a bitter taste in his mouth. Remus noticed the annoyed and angry look on James' face. He worried a bit. Lie. He worried a lot. He knew how possessive James got when he thought something was his. He was like that with Lily. It was why they bullied Snape. James didn't like them being so close to each other.

Steve Rogers:
Sorry for barging in on you.

Tony Stark:
Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed.

Clint Barton:
Yeah, well Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off SHIELD's files, I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low.

Regulus:
Laura sometimes babysits this one.

Percy threw a shy wave.

Laura Barton:

Natasha Romanoff:
[touching Laura's stomach]
How's little Natasha, huh?

Laura Barton:
She's...Nathaniel.

Natasha scoffed. But still, a tiny smile can be seen. Traitor.

Natasha bends towards Laura's pregnant stomach

Natasha Romanoff:
Traitor.

Regulus:
Maybe a Reggie jr.

The hallucinations brought on by Wanda continue to creep up in Thor's mind and he walks out of the house

Steve Rogers:
Thor.

Thor:
I saw something in that dream. I need answers, I won't find them here.

Thor uses his hammer to fly away; Steve turns to enter the house when he hears Peggy's voice from Wanda's vision

Peggy Carter:
We can go home.

Instead of going inside, he turns and walks away. Laura checks Barton's wound that Pietro had give him

Clint Barton:
See, you worried for nothing. Can't even feel the difference, can you?

Laura Barton:
If they're sleeping here, some of them are gonna have to double up.

Clint Barton:
[Barton laughs]
Yeah, that's not gonna sell.

Laura Barton:
What about Nat and Reggie? They finally realize how madly in love they are.

The ones in question look at each other with knowing looks. Bucky can't help but stare adorably at his two lovers.

Clint Barton:
Haha. What?

Laura Barton:
[Laura laughs]
You are so cute.

Clint Barton:
Nat and... and Regulus?

"Please don't tell me you're clueless," said Tony. Clint throws his hands up in surrender. He never really looked at their relationship in that light; he always thought they were like best friends. With benefits.

Laura Barton:
I'll explain when you're older, Hawkeye.

Clint Barton:
Oh. Okay.

Laura Barton:
It's bad, right? Nat and Reggie seem really shaken.

Clint Barton:
Ultron has these allies, these uh, kids, they're punks really. They carry a big damn stick and Nat took a serious hit. Someone's gonna have to teach 'em some manners.

Laura Barton:
And that someone be you. You know I totally support your Avenging, I couldn't be prouder. But I see those guys, those "Gods"...

Clint Barton:
You don't think they need me.

Laura Barton:
I think they do. Which is a lot scarier. They're a mess.

Clint Barton:
Yeah. I guess they're my mess.

Laura Barton:
You need to be sure that this team is really a team and that they have your back. Things are changing for us. In a few months time, you and me are gonna be outnumbered. I need-- ...just be sure.

Clint Barton:
Yes, ma'am.

He kisses her, then as Laura places her arm around his waist she touches his wounded side

Laura Barton:
I can feel the difference.

The scene changed to Regulus and Percy sitting next to each other. Percy noticed something wrong with his father. Ever since he had come back from the mission, he had had this distant look in his eyes. Percy scoots a little closer to him. Regulus smiles down at him and wraps his arms around him, bringing him closer. Percy lets him go. He knows his father needs comfort.

Regulus smiles at how close he and Jasper are. He was never shown that sort of love. He was glad he could do it for his own son. that he didn't turn out like his mother.

Percy:
What's wrong?

Regulus:
What do you mean?

Jasper:
[Rolls his eyes]
I know something is wrong. You are more angsty than usual.

Percy:

Regulus:
Shut it. I'm not "angsty"

The Avengers and the skittle squad give him a look. Both regulus just scoffed and rolled their eyes.

Percy gives him a look.

Regulus:
Okay keep that attitude up and you'll see.

Regulus hesitates.

Regulus:
I saw something from my past that I'd like to forget. Something I'd rather not worry you with.

Regulus:

Now tell how was your first year at Hogwarts, love.

Sirius sees how wrong he was. His brother became who he wished he was. His son looked so content being next to regulus. It was obvious to everyone else that the two were close and dependent on each other, having that unconditional love.

Percy knew not to push. He knew his father would open up to him eventually. That was how their relationship worked. Their dynamic. Regulus always made sure to put his son first. Regulus always made sure his father came first.

Percy:
It was nice. I made new friends. Harry, Ron, and Herminone. You'd like them.

Regulus:
Hmm really.

Regulus caresses Percy curls. He laughs remembering what he read in Percy letters sent to him. Percy countries to tell him about his crazy year he had at hogwarts.

U-Gin Genetic Research Lab, Seoul, Korea - as Cho enters her lab, she sees Ultron

"No, not my girl Cho" says Reggie.

Ultron:
Scream, and your entire staff dies. I could've killed you, Helen, the night we met. I didn't.

Dr. HelenCho:
Do you expect a thank you note?

Ultron:
I expect you to know why.

Dr. Helen Cho:
The Cradle.
[she hears her own recorded voice]

"This is the next thing, Tony."

Ultron:
This...is the next me.

Dr. Helen Cho:
The regeneration cradle prints tissue, it can't build a living body.

Ultron:
It can, you can. You lack the materials. You're a brilliant woman, Helen. But we all have room to improve.

Ultron uses the scepter to mind-control Cho

Clint cringes aways memoires flooding his mind.

At Barton's house, Natasha and Regulus are still experiencing the after effects of Wanda's hallucinations; Percy had gone off to interrogate the other avengers. Regulus had gone to the bathroom to freshen up as he walked out Natasha was waiting outside.

Regulus:
I didn't realize you were waiting. They used up all the hot water.

Natasha Romanoff:
I should've joined you.

Regulus:
Maybe.

"This feels like a start of a por-" Evan gets cut off by Barty.

Regulus:
What did you see?

Natasha Romanoff:
That I was an Avenger. That I was anything more than the assassin they made me.

Regulus:
I think you're being hard on yourself.

Natasha Romanoff:
Here I was hoping that was your job.

She moves closer to him

Regulus:
What are you doing?

Natasha Romanoff:
I'm running with it, with you. If running's the plan, as far as you want.

Regulus:
Are you sure about this?

Regulus turns away from her

Natasha Romanoff:
I want you to understand that I'm...

Regulus:
Natasha, do you really want someone like me.

Natasha Romanoff:
You're not a threat to me.

Regulus:
You sure? After everything. You really think that's true. He would agree.

Natasha Romanoff:
He wouldn't. He'd think you're being unreasonable. He'd tell us how wrong we are about ourselves. In the Red Room they have a graduation ceremony. They sterilize you. It's efficient. One less thing to worry about. The one thing that might matter more than a mission. It makes everything easier. Even killing.
[she hesitates a moment]
You still think you're the only monster on the team?

Regulus:
Never said I wasn't.

They both stared into each other's eyes for a moment. They were both thinking about the same thing. about their lives and about him. They don't really speak much about him. Ever since they escaped, they tried to find him, and when they did, he was different. Almost unrecognizable. Regulus remembered telling Natasha about their last run-in. He remembers the tears swelling up in her eyes. Now he wished that somewhere he was happy, finally free, waiting for them.

Everyone gives them looks of sadness. They ignored it, of course, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt. Bucky gives them kisses on the head, which they sink into.

Steve and Stark are chopping wood outside Barton's house

Tony Stark:
Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?

Steve Rogers:
Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things. I was kind of hoping Thor would be the exception.

Tony Stark:
Yeah, give him time. We don't know what the Maximoff kid showed him.

Steve Rogers:
"Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Pulled us apart like cotton candy.
