EPILOGUE II - WORMHOLE

Months after the events of History...

Reefside High, 2004

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

THE SCHOOL BELL RUNG AS I was sitting on the bench beside Kira. Ethan was playing a video game, Kira was playing her guitar, and Trent was drawing. "Great. I was just about to defeat the dreaded maxodrone, when his evil ship comes by and destroys all that I've done. Can you believe it?" Ethan asked. "It's just a game, Ethan." Kira replied.

"Yeah, you're acting as if it's real." Trent agreed. "What if it is real? What if this game is really an ancient diary, telling me about a real event that happened in a distant galaxy far, far away?" Ethan asked. "Ethan, your mind is the only thing that is far, far away." I informed. "Ohh." Trent said. A red soccer ball came towards us as Ethan stopped it with his foot. "Hey, guys, what's up?" Conner asked. "Ethan's giving us a history lesson on something he learned on his handheld "geekboy."" Kira replied.

"All right, you're right. It's not ancient galactic history." Ethan said. "Finally." Kira muttered. "But it could be the future." Ethan said. "Remember, it's just a game." Conner informed. That's when we heard a loud boom as we saw a ship flying over the school. There was a bright light then it disappeared. We all looked at each other.

All five of us were walking in the woods. "Okay, next time you predict the future like this, could you at least make me a famous motocrosser?" I asked. "I didn't know it was gonna come true." Ethan told me. "We gotta find Dr. O." Trent informed. "Well, you found me instead." Zeltrax said. We looked up and saw him with Tyrannodrones. "At least it's a familar face." Conner commented. "Yeah, great." Ethan said.

"Rangers, we fight again." Zeltrax said. But before we could start fighting, we heard another whooshing sound as Zeltrax and the Tyrannodrones disappeared into the ship. "Now that's something you don't see everyday." Conner told us.

"I wonder what they wanted with Zeltrax." Trent said. "Does it really matter? Hopefully they'll take him into space and sell him for scrap metal." Kira stated. "It's all good. Zeltrax is gone, and so are they." Ethan informed. "Yeah, but they aren't." Conner said. We looked to see a ship that was labeled "S.P.D." as the door opened and three people in colored suits walked out. "S.P.D.? Why does that seem familiar." I think to myself. "Conner, Kira, Ethan, Tanner. Nice to see you guys again. You must be Trent." Red said as he pointed to Trent.

We were talking to the people who reintroduced themselves as Jack, Bridge, and Z. "Okay, let me see if I got this straight. You guys are from the future? And you're Power Rangers." Ethan asked. "And you're chasing an emperor named Gruumm, who is trying to conquer the future Earth." Kira said. "And Gruumm came to defeat Earth now, so in the future, he will have already conquered Earth." Conner said.

"And you know these guys because they were brought to the future and helped you out?" Trent asked. "Okay let's go on a limb and say you're telling us the truth. Why don't we remember any of this?" I asked. Bridge raised his hand. "I know. We erased your memory, because the knowledge of the future would have a detrimental effect on it, causing it not to happen in the random manner that is supposed to happen without you interacting with it." Bridge explained. "What did he say?" Kira asked, not understanding.

"We were hoping you could tell us. We've given up trying." Z replied. That's when something beeped. "Krybots. I've got three separate readings. Okay. You guys, stay here. This is our fight." Jack said. "Excuse me. Not anymore. Your Gruumm must be teamed up with our mortal enemy, Zeltrax." Kira informed. "That's right. Your fight is now our fight." Conner added.

"Yeah." Ethan, Trent, and I agreed. All of us were with Z. "Hey, guys, wait up." Jack called to us. "Any luck?" Conner asked. "We just ran into a couple of Krybots. We took care of them. You?" Bridge asked. "Nothing — which doesn't make any sense, because the Troobian energy around here is off the chart." Z answered. That's when we heard an explosion and we saw Zeltrax. We then saw Dr. Oliver fighting him. "Black Ranger." Bridge said. "Time to take it to the next level." Dr. Oliver said as he went in to attack him again.

"Guys, I think we've got some more company." Jack informed as we saw Krybots and Tyrannodrones. "Okay, what are those?" Bridge asked us. "Tyrannodrones." Conner answered. "Well let's look on the bright side. It couldn't get any worse." Z said. We saw three monsters appear in front of us. "There's our enemy, comrades." A monster said.

"Guys, I think it just got worse." Jack informed. Dr. Oliver stepped in front of us. "Better late than never. You guys ready?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Black Ranger. I've read all about you." Jack commented. "Time to go to work." Dr. Oliver said. "Prepare to be defeated!" Zeltrax said. "Let's go!" Dr. Oliver stated. "You don't stand a chance." Zeltrax informed. "Ready." Jack said. "Ready." Bridge and Z replied. "S.P.D. Emergency." All three of them shouted as they morphed.

"Space Patrol Delta!" They yelled. "Not bad. Check this out." Conner said. "Ready." Conner asked. "Ready." Ethan, Kira, Trent and I replied. "Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!" All five of us shouted as we morphed as well. "Dino Power!" We yelled. We began fighting them. That is until Syd, Sky, Sam, and Cruger showed up and helped us.

"We thought you might need some help." Syd said as the three of them went to attack Zeltrax. "Sorry we're late, but someone forgot to send us an invitation to the party." Cruger said as he helped Dr. Oliver up. "Pleasure to meet you." Cruger said. "Likewise." Dr. Oliver said. Cruger and Dr. Oliver were fighting Zeltrax. We all regrouped and made a circle. "Surround them." Zeltrax ordered. We all got surrounded. "This is your end, Power Rangers. You are outnumbered. Look at the size of my army." Zeltrax said.

"It is true. You have us outnumbered. But remember, it is not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog. No one gets inside our circle!" Cruger shouted. "No one gets inside." We all took turns saying it. "You've got it, Commander!" Jack said. They began attacking us as we fought back. Kira was with Z and Syd. I was fighting with Trent and Sam.

"Not bad." Sam complimented as the three of us regrouped. "Thanks. Check this out." Trent said as he raced through the Krybots and Tyrannodrones. "How about this? Omega-morpher! Electro-mode!" Sam shouted as he electrocated the Krybots and Tyrannodrones. "That did it." I said. Ethan was fighting with Sky and Bridge. Cruger and Dr. Oliver were dealing with Zeltrax. Conner was fighting with Jack. "This is it, Rangers." Cruger said.

"Canine Cannon!"

"T-Rex Blaster!"

We fired both of our weapons, defeating them. Then the S.P.D. Rangers did a roll call.

"Rangers!"

"Red."

"Blue."

"Green."

"Yellow."

"Pink."

"Omega."

"Shadow."

Then my group did a roll call as well.

"Tyranno."

"Tricera."

"Ptera."

"Carno."

"Brachio."

"Drago."

"POWER RANGERS! DEFENDERS OF EARTH!"

We were outside of Reefside High. "Well, guys, it's time to say goodbye." Jack said. "So soon?" Conner asked. "What's the rush? You're time travelers, right? No matter how long you stay, you can still get back at the same time." Kira said. "Not true. The wormhole's closing. We gotta go." Z informed. "I really wish I could stay. I was just born last week, and I could meet myself and become my own best friend." Bridge said.

"Wait. What if I met myself and I didn't like me?" Bridge asked himself. "We understand you guys gotta go. Thanks, guys. This has been something I'll always remember." Trent said. "Well, you see Trent, about that—" I started off. "Unfortunately, we can't let you do that." Sky told him. "Ahh, there it is." I stated. "You're going to erase our memories, aren't you?" Kira asked. "Yeah, we have to. Knowledge of the future would only change what's meant to be. For better or worse. It's got to be like this." Syd explained.

"Say "cheese."" Cruger said as he snapped us with something. Almost immediately my mind went blank. "School's over. Go home." Cruger told them as we all started to walk away.

"Did that dog just talk?" Kira asked Conner.

"I-I think so." Conner replied.
