CHAPTER THIRTY TWO - THUNDER STRUCK, PART 2

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

WE ALL WALKED INTO THE lab to see that it was destroyed. "What happened?" Kira asked. "It's trashed." Ethan said. "Elsa." Dr. Oliver added. "What's this?" Conner asked, picking up something. "It's like a black box. I keep a security camera in it." Hayley replied. She took the box and uploaded it on a screen. "Let's take a look." She said. We saw Zeltrax holding onto Elsa. "Zeltrax." Ethan said.

"This is all my fault. I should've stopped him." Anton blamed himself. "Don't blame yourself for what you did when you were him." Trent stated. "Trent is right, Anton. This is about me and Smitty. It had nothing to do with you." Dr. Oliver agreed. "But if there were no Mesogog—" Anton started off. "We can't go back and change what's happened. Mesogog is gone. We should be thankful for that." Dr. Oliver interrupted him. "So what now? I guess we don't hang up our morphers just yet." Conner said. "No." Dr. Oliver replied.

We ended up meaning Ethan where Zeltrax was. "Power Rangers, surrender... or my most precious cargo will be destroyed." Zeltrax exclaimed. "I bet he's got Elsa in there!" Conner siad. "Correct. I wanted her to see your demise. Triptoids!" Zeltrax said as the triptoids appeared. We got out our weapons and began fighting them. Zeltrax then attacked us and part of the city. "This has gone far enough! Trent, can you handle the triptoids?" Dr. Oliver asked.

"Not a problem!" Trent said as he went to attack the triptoids once more. "You guys call the Zords. I'm gonna get Elsa." Dr. Oliver said. "You got it! Dino Zords!" Conner called. Our Zords came as we went inside them then created our Megazord. We began fighting Zeltrax's Zord.

"I'm in!" Dr. Oliver said. "We got your back!" Conner stated. Zeltrax attacked us as we stumbled back. "I'm gonna help Dr. O.!" Kira told us. "Kira!" Conner called to her as she left. We got tied around with a lasso. We got into the air then thrown onto the ground. "Ethan! Can you handle the Mesodon?" Conner asked.

"Thought you'd never ask." Ethan replied as he went into the Mesodon and created the Megazord. Zeltrax's Zord attacked both of us. That's when the sky turned dark. "What's going on?" Ethan asked. "No idea." Conner answered. Zeltrax's Zord attacked us again. "We've gotta get them out of there now!" Ethan said. He went to attack the Zord. "Hold on! Ethan, I've got an idea!" Conner said. He attacked straight through the Zord.

The Zord continued to attack us. "Conner... You're gonna need all the Zords." Dr. Oliver said. "Right." Conner replied. "Dino Zords, Full Power!" Conner exclaimed. All of the Zords attacked finally destroying the Zord. "We did it! Yeah!" Conner said. That's when the Zord came back again. "No way!" Conner said. "Again?" Ethan asked.

"You gotta be kidding me." I added. "You've gotta sacrifice the Zords!" Dr. Oliver exclaimed. "We can't!" Conner said. "No, Dr. Oliver!" Ethan added. "You've got to! It's the only way." Dr. Oliver said. "All right." Conner said as we headed into the wind. "Engage auto-destruct!" Conner stated. "I'm trying!" Ethan replied. "Goodbye, old friends." Conner said. We got sucked in further until everything exploded.

Conner, Ethan, and I appeared demorphed. "Ethan?" Kira asked. "Conner! Tanner!" She continued. "That was impressive." Kira said. "But the Zords— they're destroyed." Ethan said. "It was the only way. You guys did what you had to do." Dr. Oliver said. "It's true. Nothing else would've stopped him." Trent agreed.

"So that's it then. It can't just be over." Conner said. "Of course it's not over!" Mesogog said. We all turned around to see Mesogog. "Why do they always come back for more?" I asked. "You destroyed my plans of creating a perfect world. However... I was able to absorb enough dino gem energy to complete my transfiguration. Witness the face of... your final battle." Mesogog said as he transformed. "And I thought The Master was ugly." I said. "You better step aside, Elsa." Dr. Oliver stated.

"You guys ready for one more battle?" Dr. Oliver asked us.

"Oh, yeah." Conner said.

"You bet." I added.

"Ready!" Conner asked. "Ready!" We all replied.

"Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!"

"White Ranger, Dino Power!"

We morphed and did roll call one last time.

"Tyranno Power!"

"Tricera Power!"

"Ptera Power!"

"Carno Power!"

"Brachio Power!"

"Drago Power!"

"DINO RANGERS!"

"This is it!" Conner said. We all got in a fighting stance as we headed to attacked Mesogog. We kept trying to attack him but he threw us back. "I've got him!" Conner exclaimed. Mesogog then threw Conner back. He then attacked Dr. Oliver. "Dr. O.!" Kira shouted. "Hey! Back off!" Kira said. She dodged a car that was thrown at her.

"My turn!" Conner said. Mesogog's tougue grew as Conner dodged it until it finally grabbed him. "Over here, meso-mess! Triassic Ranger!" Conner said as he went into triassic mode and then went into battlyzed mode. He attacked Mesogog and threw him backward. We all limped towards Conner. "You did it, Conner!" Kira said. "Yeah, thanks." Conner said. We saw as Mesogog came back. "Unbelievable." Dr. Oliver commented.

We watched as he cloned himself. "One was bad enough. How do we fight them all?" Ethan asked. "Guys, we have to use all of our powers. It's the only way." Dr. Oliver replied. "Do it, Conner!" Trent said. "Power Rangers!" All of us shouted as a big ball of light moved to us. "I summon the power of the gem!" Conner yelled.

Our bodies glowed "Dino gems, unite!" All of us yelled as a dinosaur appeared above us. I watched as the dinosaur attacked all of the Mesogogs. "Everyone okay?" Dr. Oliver asked. "I feel... different." Conner replied. "Yeah, like normal again." Trent agreed. We were all holding our gems. "Me too." Kira said. "Me three." I added. "It's gone. Our powers are gone." Ethan stated. "It took everything the gems had to destroy Mesogog." Dr. Oliver explained. "So these are just..." Conner started off.

"Ancient artifacts that would look great in a museum." Dr. Oliver finished. "Hello, Rangers." Cassidy said. We walked up to her. "So you know then." Conner said. "Well, I kinda already knew, but I had to show Cassidy in person." Devin explained. "This is, like, the greatest thing ever!" Cassidy exclaimed as she hugged Devin.

"And we've got it all on tape. You know, a reporter could make a whole career out of this." Cassidy informed. "Cassidy, do you realize what our lives will be like if that tape gets out?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Yeah, I do. That's why I'm giving this to you." Cassidy replied as she handed the tape to Dr. Oliver. "Wait. Cassidy passing up a scoop of a lifetime? Why?" Kira asked. "Because you're my friends. It wouldn't be right to ruin your lives just to make mine better, not after everything you've done for us." Cassidy explained.

"I always knew there was a heart deep down in there somewhere." Ethan said. "Yeah, I just needed someone to help me find it. Now, If you'll excuse us..." Cassidy said. "Yeah, we're off to the prom." Devin finished as they linked arms. Elsa followed them.

"Finally. I thought those two would never get together." Kira stated. "I know someone else who needs to get together with someone." I muttered. "What?" Conner asked, looking at me. "Nothing." I answered. "And just like that... life goes back to normal." Conner said. "Our life may be normal, but trust me, it will never be the same." Dr. Oliver informed.

Prom. Who would've thought? And in case you were wondering, yes, I did go to the prom with Trent. "Hey, guys." Trent called from the top. "Hey, Trent." Ethan replied. Trent and I were holding hands. "So, Trent, what's next for you?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Actually, I'm really excited. I'm heading to art school in the fall." Trent replied.

"Yeah? You okay with that, Anton?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Couldn't be happier. How about you, Tommy? What's next for the man who's done it all?" Anton asked. "I was thinking... of staying here teaching, living the quiet life." Dr. Oliver replied. "You sure about that? I hear the new principal's a real hard-nose." Elsa said, coming into the conversation. "I think she'll be brilliant." Dr. Oliver said.

"I gotta go." Dr. Oliver said. "You outta here?" I asked. "No, I gotta introduce the band." Dr. Oliver replied. "Okay." I said. Trent and I followed him. "Okay, guys, I just want to say we've had an interesting year. We've been through a lot, more than any school should have to go through. But we've made it and we're okay. That's what's important, so let's have fun tonight! And to help us do that, Here she is... Kira Ford!" Dr. Oliver said as Kira appeared on stage. Everyone cheered.

As she was singing, I thought back to all the times I had with the Dino Thunder Rangers, and I couldn't believe that it was over. Kira finally finished the song. But what shocked us more was that Conner went on stage, turned Kira around, and kissed her. "He's finally did it." I thought.

"So, Xander, that was my adventure with the Dino Thunder Rangers. I loved fighting with them. But as they say all good things must come to an end. And for me... My Ranger days were finally over."
