A/N: If you're all wondering what Tanner's superpower is, you'll probably find out in the Thunder Storm episode where they fight Shane, Tori, and Dustin. Unless I put it in before then.

CHAPTER EIGHT - BENEATH THE SURFACE

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

EVERYONE WAS DOING THEIR OWN THING. Ethan was playing his video game very loudly. While Conner, Kira, and I were trying to do homework. Conner groaned and Kira and I rolled our eyes. "Dude, do you mind?" Conner asked. "Made it to level 12!" Ethan exclaimed completely ignoring Conner's question. That's when Conner turned off his laptop.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Ethan complained. "I can't concentrate with you blowing up things in my ear." Conner explained. "But it took me three hours to get to that level." Ethan said. "Sorry, but I'm with Conner on this one. We got a paper due tomorrow, and why aren't you working on yours?" Kira asked.

I looked over at Conner to see that he was slightly blushing. Ethan turned to face Kira. "Finished it last week. Trent and I jammed on it while you guys were out being David Beckham and—" Kira interrupted him. "Don't even say it." Kira informed.

"Wasn't going to." Ethan said as he turned back around. "Where's Trent, anyway? I thought he was working today." I commented. Not like I cared about him. I always got this bad vibe from him. But I couldn't tell that to them. "Hayley gave him the day off. I think he's spending some quality time with his dad." Conner replied.

The bell rang. "All right, there's only so much you can learn in a classroom. Who's ready for some field work?" Dr. Oliver said. I grabbed my backpack. Just as Dr. Oliver and I were heading out, Principal Randall was standing by the doorway. "Principal Randall? Are you in a play?" Dr. Oliver questioned. "No. I'm here to join you on your field trip." Principal Randall explained.

"I didn't realize you were interested in dinosaur bones." Dr. Oliver said. I didn't either until now. "You'd be surprised at what interests me." Principal Randall informed. "Yeah, Probably would." Dr. Oliver chuckled. "Shall we?" Principal Randall asked. "Yeah, the bus is right outside." Dr. Oliver replied. "You can dazzle me with fascinating fossil facts on the way." Principal Randall said and left. I blinked my eyes, wondering what I just saw.

"Dr. Oliver, was Principal Randall hitting on you?" I asked. "I think so." Dr. Oliver answered. We finally arrived at the dig site. Conner, Kira, and I were digging. "Hey, you guys, Over here! Check it out I think I found something." Ethan suddenly said. "Great, what is it?" Conner asked. I walked up to Dr. Oliver.

"Dr. Oliver? We need some help identifying something. We think it might be a. . . morphersaurus." I informed. "Sure, I'll be right there." Dr. Oliver responded. I walked back to the site. "What have you got?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Well, I think it might be a Dinozord egg." Ethan said as he handed it to Dr. Oliver. "Careful." Dr. Oliver informed.

Then Principal Randall showed up. "Ooh... A discovery. How exciting." Principal Randall said. "No. Uh, We're not sure what it is." Dr. Oliver lied. "It looks like a prehistoric egg. May I?" She asked, holding out her hand. "Well, uh..." Dr. Oliver hesitated. "Don't worry. I won't drop it." Principal Randall promised.

Dr. Oliver finally gave the Dinozord egg to her. She lowered her glasses. "I should really take that back to the school lab and examine it." Dr. Oliver stated. "But of course. Here." Principal Randall said handing the egg back to him. Then the Tyrannodrones showed up. "Really, now?" I thought. Conner, Kira, Ethan, and I immdiately started fighting.

I fought the Tyrannodrones, throwing one in the mud in the process. I did a few flips and continued fighting. I kicked another Tyrannodrone and it fell into the mud as well. Conner then got distracted by Kira fighting.

I kicked a Tyrannodrone out of the way just as it was about to attack him. "Gotta stay focused, Conner!" I informed. Conner just nodded and continued to fight. Then it ended. We walked to Dr. Oliver and Principal Randall "Would you mind explaining to me where you learned to fight like that?" Principal Randall asked us. "Uh, Karate Club." Conner answered. Then we left.

We were back at the Dino Lab. "So what's up?" Conner asked. "You got anything?" I added. Ethan was scanning the Dinozord egg. "I don't know. Something's not right. I can't detect any signs of life." Ethan replied. "That's weird. I'm sure that's a Dimetrozord egg." Dr. Oliver informed. "Dimetrozord?" Conner questioned. "It's developed from a Dimetrodon. It's really amazing." Dr. Oliver continued. Ethan continued scanning. "That would explain why the Tyrannodrones want it." I said. "Yeah." Dr. Oliver agreed.

Dr Oliver turned in his chair. "This is weird. I'm still getting a heat signal from the dig site where we found the egg." He explained. "But the egg's not even there anymore." Kira pointed out. "Maybe there's another one." Ethan guessed. "I better go check it out. You guys stay here and keep analyzing this one." Dr. Oliver ordered.

"Guys, I really don't think there's a Dinozord in here." Ethan informed. There was a sudden beep. On the screen, there was a Dinozord. "Well, there's one." Conner exclaimed. "But how?" Kira asked. "Can't we... open it?" Ethan said. Conner just nodded. Ethan opened up the egg and Elsa showed up.

"Not what you expected, Rangers?" Elsa said. She laughed and disappeared. "Okay, can I just say I am so over the evil laugh thing?" I pointed out. "Man, that's so messed up. How did she do that?" Ethan wondered. There was the beep again.

The Dinozord was attacking Reefside. "Better get the Zords. It's attacking Little Tokyo! Come on!" Conner informed. Conner held up his left wrist. "Ready?" He asked. "Ready." Ethan, Kira, and I said. "Dino Thunder, Power up! HA!" We shouted.

"Tryanno!" Conner shouted after he morphed.

Kira was next. "Ptera!" She said.

"Tricera!" Ethan yelled.

Finally, I came next. "Carno!" I shouted.

We arrived where the Dinozord was. "There it is!" Conner informed. That's when our Zords showed up. Our Zords started attacking the Dimetrozord. Once the Dimetrozord defeated the Tryanno and Tricera zord, it disappeared under the ground. "Whoa! He's gone!" Conner exclaimed. Then, the ground started shaking. That's when a monster showed up.

"Targets located!" It exclaimed. "Dinozords now!" Conner said. We all headed into our Zords. We got into our Megazord and started fighting. "Do it, Kira!" Conner ordered. "Ptera Rang!" Kira shouted. But the monster blocked it. "Tricera Fist!" Ethan yelled. The monster blocked that as well.

The monster attacked us. "I don't think the Thunder Zords are powerful enough. You need something that can break through his armor." Dr. Oliver informed. "Like what?" Conner asked. "Like a blade or a saw. Wait a minute. You got to use the Dimetrozord." Dr. Oliver said. While Dr. Oliver tried to take control of the Dimetrozord, Elsa attacked us.

"You are under my control!" Elsa exclaimed. The Dimetrozord attacked us as our Megazord fell to the ground. We didn't even have a chance to stand back up when the monster stomped on us. Dr. Oliver got control of the Dimetrozord and it started attacking the monster.

Our Megazord combined with the Dimetrozord as we cut off a piece of the monster's blade. "Dimetro Blade! Full Power!" We all shouted. With that, the monster was finally defeated. We were at school. We were in Dr. Oliver class when we saw Cassidy appear on the TV.

"This is Cassidy Cornell with a special report. I have discovered that we have a superhero working right here at Reefside High." Cassidy informed. "It couldn't be. . . Has she discovered that Dr. Oliver is the Black Ranger?" I thought. I looked at Conner who had the same thought. Dr. Oliver looked like he was about to throw up, and I honestly couldn't blame him.

"Yes. Our very own Principal Randall fended off several prehistoric creatures in an act of selfless bravery." Cassidy continued. All four of us gave Dr. Oliver confused looks. "I was on the scene to bring you the exclusive footage. Let's roll tape." Cassidy finished. The tape showed Cassidy ripping up a tulip. The class laughed.

"Uh, we seem to be having techical difficulties. Please stand by." Cassidy said. Conner, Ethan, Kira, and I showed up when Dr. Oliver asked how Principal Randall was doing. The bell then rang "You okay?" Dr. Oliver asked when Principal Randall didn't respond. "It's the bell, Dr. Oliver. Your next class isn't gonna teach itself, is it?" Principal Randall said. "Uh. . . Yeah." Dr. Oliver said, wondering what just happened.

"Man, that woman is cold-blooded." Ethan said. "Yeah, but, remember, Dr. O's got a thing for dinosaurs" Conner reminded him. "Don't even start with me, Conner." Dr. Oliver said. "I think it's a perfect match." I informed as Kira agreed. "Aren't you guys late for your next class?" Dr. Oliver asked. "Yeah, we were kinda hoping you could write us a note or something." Conner replied. "Yeah!" Ethan agreed.

"Dream on." Dr. Oliver said.

A/N: So there is the 8th chapter. Like I said, you aren't gonna know Tanner's power unless I tell you guys what it is or I accidently add it in the  future chapters. You guys won't know until they fight Shane, Dustin, and Tori. Which I am also adding a White Ranger OC.
