➤( CHAPTER 020 ! )
"the final battle"
AFTER GETTING FULLY HEALED BY RECOVERY GIRL, She allowed Shousuke to leave a prepare for his next and final match against Bakugo.
His body leaned against a wall, with his arms holding up for support as he slowed down his breath. He was exhausted from his fight with Todoroki, it has taken a lot out of him. He let out a sigh as he rubbed his forehead.
'Just one more match.' He thought to himself... If he was begging honestly at first he didn't want to be a hero. He didn't want to have the burden on people and their lives on his shoulder. Seeing that some civilians nowadays think that heroes are dangerous, and think that they can't keep them safe. And the other half rely on heroes for everything. And when those heroes don't live up to their expectations they start belittling them forgetting that those heroes were also normal people like them. They blame them for the loss of a family member or friend that happened to be caught up in a confect between a hero and a villain.
But though stating all those reasons why not to he's still going to be one. Think back on the time when Midoriya asked Uraraka why as she wanted to be a hero, made him start thinking why was he a hero... Well the answer be now simple for him not? He wants to be a hero not for the fame and power of money but for his family. He promised someone that when he becomes a hero he will fight alongside them, but now that person is gone, he still plans to keep his promise.
Although the promise was a good reason, it wasn't Shousuke reason. The person he promised his gone and he has noting to hold him up. He needed to find his own reason to be a hero. Not just someone's wise.
Shousuke got off and started walking halfway trying to find his waiting room. While walking Shousuke saw a certain white and red-haired boy from a distance walking towards him. "You got recovered very quickly," Todoroki says worriedly. Ever since He froze Shousuke in that giant ice glacier he was afraid that he might have given Shousuke a frostbite.
Shousuke saw his expression and quickly waved it indicating that he was fine which made Todoroki let out a sigh of relief and fixed his posture. "Komi-san... Both you and Midoriya somehow came and destroyed all the problems I seemed to be carrying." Todoroki stated. "After this, there is something I must settle first."
Todoroki then extend his hand outwards making Shousuke look at the young Todoroki's hand and then at his face in confusion. Todoroki seemed to get the other confusion and answered. "For truce..."

Seeing that the other still didn't quite get what he was saying made his sweat drop before finishing his sentence. "A friendship or something like that... I realized that if I want to be a great hero, I would like to have a companion with me."
When he finished, he excepted Shousuke to turn around and walk away. To him, Shousuke wasn't the type to make friends but liked staying alone in quiet. How'd he know? From observing Shousuke from the past school days. Every quiet place he would go to avoid people he would find Shousuke there in his spot. After some time Shousuke took notice of this and started staying in the classroom leavening the spots for Shoto to enjoy.
But to his surprise, Shousuke shook his hand. If Shousuke had to be honest, Todoroki is the only person he can handle in this class. The rest was just too much work in his opinion-
But then he stopped all so suddenly made Todoroki look at him confused. He then started to worry as Shousuke eyes completely went white. No hint of his dull dark-purple pupils but just plant white.
This was when Todoroki started to panic. He first placed Shousuke on the ground making his back lean against the wall and started to slightly tap tapping whiles calling out his name but it was not to any avail.
But in Shousuke's point of view, he is suddenly in a hallway of a Japanese abode. There he saw a young boy pecking out a widow looking down below him making Shousuke look down as well.
There he saw three young kicking playing outside with an old woman probably their grandmother.
At first, Shousuke was confused but when he turned to the peeking boy Shousuke finally noticed. That boy was Shoto. Now this made Shousuke even more confused. One second he was talking to a teen Shoto but now he's seeing the other as a child.
Suddenly the young Shoto was grabbed by the arm and pulled forwards into the hallway.
Shousuke was taken aback by this. Who would grab a small child with such force that it might leave bruises?
"Don't watch them Shoto. You are part of a different world than those." The man said and continued to harshly pull young Shoto with him.
Something in Shousuke told him to follow that boy as so he did. He helplessly watched as the boy stumbled on the ground while trying to keep up with his father.
When they stopped Shousuke also stopped. He then saw the man pull the sliding door of his house open and shut it loudly from behind.
Shousuke reached to the door handle to sild but to his dismay, Shousuke's hand went through. He then stuck his whole hand through the door, viewing it as it passed through.
A light bulb just when off in Shousuke's head as he closed his eyes tightly and let out a sigh. Then slowing made his way through the door.
But when he opened his eyes again he was in shock. He was in a room... A dojo to be exact. He looked around checking how wide it was, there was nothing in the dojo. No equipment, no weight no nothing just two people.
He then heard coughing from behind him so he turned around and saw a young boy around the age of five. The boy was crouching down on his knees while vomit erupted from his mouth.
But the boy seemed to be in pain, Shousuke could tell by the young one clenching his stomach and had tears welling up in his eyes.
Suddenly the sense in the dojo cut- leaving Shousuke outside of a kitchen hearing a woman's voice on the phone. "I don't know what's wrong with me Mom. I can't take it. Every day the children look more and more like that man!" She exclaimed gripping her phone tightly while trembling. "Even Shoto... That child's left side... Something it's so hideous I can't even look!"
Shousuke then heard footsteps approaching him and turned around only to see young Shoto walking up to the kitchen rubbing his eyes. 'That woman's probably his mom.' He thought.
"I... I can't keep raising them anymore. It's too much. If I have to keep raising them I'll-" Just as she was about finish her sentence a little mommy was called from behind the walk making her turn around. Only to be met with Shoto standing at the door peaking out.
The look of horror flashed on her face as she unconsciously grabbed the ketal that held boiling water and-
Right now Shousuke was standing in yet another hallway but this time beside Shoto. But Shoto had a cloth over his eyes and he was quietly standing still staring at his so-called father. "Where's mommy?" He asked and lowered his head.
"Because she hurt you, she's been put in a hospital." Endeavor sated. "Good grief... At such an important time, too."
"It's all your fault...!" When hearing those words a burning hatred seemed to have lit in his eyes whiles staring at a man that he once called his father.
"KOMI-SAN!"
"KOMI-SAN!"
"CAN YOU HEAR MEE?!" A voice shouted out at him as Shousuke's eyes began to fade back to their normal color. But not the same for Shousuke. He was mentally and psychically drained and his eyes barely opened He felt his who body go numb not having enough energy to stand up.
A hand came a grabbed Shousuke's right arm and put it around their neck. Feeling this Shousuke took a little glance up and saw that it was Shoto. Teen Shoto.
Shousuke let out a sigh thinking he was dreaming be new knew he was not. Looking at Shoto's burn scar over his left eye.
"Komi-san! Are you alright" Todoroki questioned as he started walking his way over to the Recovery Girls office. He had a tell that this event was something not common. The way Shousuke eyes with completely white like someone who had just lost their soul freaked out look in his eyes. Shousuke was sweating rapidly and his breathing was uneven.
Suddenly two fierce turquoise eyes started beneath the two younger ones. The 6'4, bulging muscles of the hero as his arms crossed in a form of judgment. The wreathing flames lined up with the edge. The flames coated the facial hair of the pro hero.
Endeavor stood before Todoroki and Shousuke with his flames surrounding his feathers like a mask. While his crimson hair was left unaffected by the flames.
'Endeavor...' Shousuke thought distantly. When Endeavor spotted Shousuke hummed ten and turned to Shoto.
"Shoto, If only you used your fire from the stated you would have been defeated." He stated a s his flames spired up with disappointment when turned to Shousuke who dared not to look him in the eye.
"You... That is quite a power you have there. To release as much energy being visible for others to see." He started as his voice remained stern but his words weren't said out of fear... It was something else..... Something indescribable.
"You'll be perfect for my Shoto. If only you would let your useless mother go. Let's face it, she has no backbone to support you... Komi" That ticked Shoto off. Shoto unconsciously grabbed onto Shousuke's arm making the other wince in pain.
"If not, you won't be a hero... Most likely going to slip and wind up dead like your brother." He insulted Shousuke, but the younger only could helplessly lean on Shoto's shoulders for support. Shoto turned to Shousuke in utter shock expecting Shousuke to lash out. But the younger did. Instead, he gave Shoto a look that he should calm down before bad happens.
But you can't blame him. That was just how Shousuke was raised. To control his anger. He knew that anger could get him nowhere. But he also knew that anger could lead to destruction. Having such a powerful quick leads to having stronger weights on him. If he didn't know how to control his anger it could be the death of millions in this stadium. Don't get him wrong he was a bit triggered by the pro heroes' word but he-
"Shut your trap!" Shoto suddenly yelled out as he glared up at his father who seemed to be taken at back. "There's no way in hell I will let you assert control over Komi as you did to me...!" Endeavor's eyes narrowed at his son. Shoto heads head was already facing the ground but he glared upwards.
He didn't even have the guts to face his father. Coming to the realization his so-called called father up him and his older siblings through he hated that man with a burning passion.
"With what you did to him these years? The regulation of domestic violence?... Abuse?.... Neglection?... How much have to take from your Children? How evil?" Shoto's voice rang out making Shousuke and Enji perk up. Shousuke turned in shock and saw those eyes filled with that same hatred he had when he was young.
"You're the perfect example of the famous quote: You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain..." Shoto stepped past his Endeavor bringing Shousuke along with him, not batting another eye.
"But yet you still wonder why I chose to disobey... Rebel... I never had a father. One that I could look up to... But then again I never had a mother. I lost her because of you... So when you said that Shousuke's mother has no backbone to support me, I want to laugh... Because his mother is the type of parent you could never be. His mother has a heart. And with that, she toughs me how to put others first, to be kind, to fight!"
That right. When Shousuke and Shoto were training together, Shuuko would stop by and give some pointers on the thing that could improve the use of his quirk. "She didn't push me to the brink of passing out, she wasn't harsh on me, she never belittle me for the smallest mistakes, no... She was never like that. She was a kind and compassionate woman. Exactly what a hero should be."
Endeavor couldn't deny it. The desire to become number 1 was so strong that he started inflating it on his child. He is an NPC of a video game... He was the antagonist of his own story.
The expression caught on Endeavors was unreadable. His fierce stare faded for a moment revealing something that gave his future potential a happy ending.
Both Shoto and Shousuke walked away. Heading to Shousuke's waiting room. Each corner they took was Shousuke guiding them until they made it. Once there Shousuke immediately released his arm from around Shoto and when to go sit down.
When Shoto saw this he went to sit down too but on the opposite side of Shousuke and downed his head so that his glaze was facing the table beneath him instead of Shousuke. But the young Komi took notice of this and passed Shoto a bottle of water that was beside him and got a thank you in return.
Then again there was a long silence between the two. But in Todoroki's view, He wanted to question Shousuke on what he saw. He had taken to account the look Shousuke had given him after his eyes changed to their original color,
Fear?
Confusion?
Worry?
Those were the feeling running through his mind. But then he thought about the recent accouter that he had his father. He had taken a glance at Shousuke. He felt,
Warmth...
Everything about Shousuke's look calmed him down, at that moment. To be honest, he wonders how Shousuke peeks his stoke and calm composure all the time.
"What did you see...?" Todoroki suddenly asked as he lifted his head to face the stocked boy. Shousuke lowered his head and raised an eyebrow wanting Shoto to elaborate more.
"When your eyes when completely white... You just suddenly when unconscious and weren't responding to any of my calls... But when you work up your normal facial expression completely changed... So what did you see?"
Todoroki questioned again and Shousuke should tell he was serious about getting an answer.
"Everything..." Shousuke said and looked back at Todoroki. "I saw everything. The abuse of your father, why your mother was absent, and why you have that burn mark on your left face..."
Todoroki sighed and lowered his head onto the table while his hands covered his face. This was all his fault. He knew he shouldn't have talked about a part of his past during their match. He regretted that he came up to Shousuke after their match... He knew that he should have found a quiet place to think it out... Midoriya already knew now Shousuke... No Shousuke witnessed it... 'What is he going to think of me now...' Shoto thought.
Suddenly Shousuke's placed his hand on Shoto's shoulder making the heterometric-eyed boy look at up him again. "I want you to... I won't be thinking of you differently. We all have our problems going on and the best thing we can do is work through it together." Quote From his brother. All Shousuke Shousuke's life his brother had been there to help him to overcome his challenges with his quirk and his emotion... And Shoto didn't have someone like that, so he'll be it. He'll help Shoto overcome his family trauma. After all, that's one of the major rules of being a hero... To help-.
Shousuke eyes sight started hazing up, getting heavier as his hand that was once of Shoto's shoulders dropped and slammed down on the table. And so did Shousuke's head but just as it was about to hit the table Shoto quickly moved his hand and placed it under Shousuke's forehead catching the young Komi.
"Komi-san! Are you alright!" Todoroki called out as he now grabbed Shousuke's face squeezing both his hands on Shousuke's cheeks. There was a long silence between them as Shousuke took a few seconds to respond.
"...I Think I need to go back to Recovery Girl..."
"Right!"
Shoto imminently stood up and grabbed Shousuke's hand and put it under his nape. Once making sure Shousuke was secured he started making his way to the door and grabbed the handle, But the door suddenly burst open harshly, the door slammed into Shousuke's face causing him to slip off Shoto's shoulders knocking him to the floor.
He rolled to the side and his hands grabbed his face trying to relieve the pain. Shoto imminently went to his side, helping him sit up whiles trying to look at his face despite Shousuke's best efforts to cover it.
Shoto put both his hands under Shousuke's armpits and lifted the other enough so that Shousuke was sitting on a seat while, Shoto gently grabbed his hands and pushed them aside. Shousuke then see's Bakugo standing at the doorway with his leg lifted in the air surprised.
Shoto crouched down and pinched his nose, just above his nostrils. Then Shousuke now realized that he's nose was bleeding. His shirt had become a bloody mess, and there was a small pool of blood around him. "Pinch your nose like this, I'll go look for some tissues." Shousuke followed the other infection and Shoto went looking around the room for some tissues.
"Hold on, What are you doing here?" Bakugo questioned, " This is supposed to be my room." He then checked the number and his eyes widen in embarrassment. "Shoot! This is waiting room number two!" Both Shousuke and Shoto rolled their eyes and ignored him whiles Shoto continued his search for a tissue box.
Bakugo grew irritated by being ignored, He stormed into the room and opened one of many lockers until he found a tissue box. "You're barely pinching your nose! Pinch it tighter! And don't tilt your head back like that! Learn it forward!"
Shousuke flowed Bakugo's instruction's before Shoto snatched the tissue from Bakugo taking him at back for a little. "He doesn't need you to clean him."
"I wasn't going to clean a grape-like him anyways!" He shouted before turning and glaring at Shousuke, "Look, I'm going to bring my all in this game." He stated before standing up and glaring down at Shousuke. "So you better do the same! You better bring out everything you have Grape-Juice!!" He shouted as he used his quirk on the table beside Shoto.
In Shousuke's point of view like before his eyes were getting heavier and his head was bouncing back and forwards. His mind was in a haze and his brain wasn't comprehending the words that
