AN'LNAJ sat in the cold room alone, being surrounding by her thoughts. Mainly the cold voices in her head that kept her up at night.

The voices always told her to kill herself, kill others. When she was younger with the disorder, she actually attempted. That's when her family looked at her completely different.

Few years after, her mom died. The only person she truly cared, loved her. And didn't turn her back on her. Which made her go crazy, along with the voices in her head egging her on.

SCHIZOPHRENIA

- A disorder that affects a person's ability to think, feel, and behave clearly.

Her diagnosis was schizophrenia. Her room door cracked open, it was Kevin, the two had bonded after weeks of being there, An'lnaj felt like she was betrayed, not loved, and different. And kay did too.

That's what made them connect on a emotional level. It had been 2 whole years of their "friendship" he always came into her room to bother her. Or, just to talk to her to help her out her thoughts.

"Wassup, mama" his deep voice spoke out to her, her fingers tracing a pattern on her own thigh, her eyes looked up at his, longing for some support. "Sit down, please" she said.

He nodded, sitting down. "Mm, how you been holding up?" He looked at her, his eyes trailing over her figure. The asylum they were at let you wear anything you wanted, so she had on a pair of grey joggers along with a wife beater on.

She nodded, "words." He said sternly, "yes, kay damn, think you somebody daddy" she rolled her eyes, catching a slight attitude. He popped her leg, "Watch ya mouth."

She smacked her lips in annoyance, "but get ready and come to the cafeteria, eat sum' for once" he stared into her soul, she ignored him, "you know ion like being ignored ma" he said gripping her chin making her look at him.

"Okay kay," she said, still having a attitude from earlier.

She walked into the cafeteria, hands by her side. She sat down on the seat, "what we having today?" An'lnaj asked one of her other close friends. "Some nasty ass shit" he shrugged. She smacked her lips.

One of her other friends came up. "Hey girl!" She smiled, showcasing her braces she had on for about a good year, her name was Lex. She was diagnosed with the same disorder An'lnaj had, but some other things also, they clicked cause she actually cool.

"I can't believe you getting out before meeee" Lex pouted, An'lnaj laughed. "I hope we can get in contact again, you actually a good friend" An'lnaj said, before she felt a presence behind her. Kay of course.

Lex rolled her eyes in a playful manner, "I'll talk to you whenever we get in contact, I hope you can do flourish when you get out of this place" Lex said before she hugged her.

An'lnaj hugged her back, before she stood up and walked away. She turned a few degrees before looking at kay, "you got a lot of hairrr" she ran her hand through his silk press. He smirked, "thank you mama," he said.

"You ate?" He asked, she nodded lying straight to his face, she did that sometimes just a unhealthy habit. "You lying?" He asked, she shook her head no.

She hugged all her "friends" that were in the asylum, the ones that kept her entertained sometimes. She smiled showcasing her pearly white's.

She had a earlier release date then kay, leaving him in the asylum. The two was stuck together like glue and paper, they helped each other control their disorders.

So she just hoped he doesn't switch personalities, he walked over to her. "I'ma miss you ma" he said wrapping his manly arms around her, "I'll miss you too kay, but it's only three days.." she looked up into his eyes.

Shee pecked his lips a few times. "Waited till the last minute to do that shit" he said, she rolled her eyes, "bye kay!" She said before leaving with the guard.

Now she had to forgive out this thing called being a adult. Her family put her in here at 17, she is 19, one step away from her twenties. She didn't know how to do all this, but at least her friends would be there to help her along the way.
