CHERRY AND THE REST OF MIYAGI-DO GATHERED OUTSIDE THE DOJO!
Tory used her keycard to open the dojo for all of the Miyagi-do members, and they slipped inside. A couple of older students, including Sam, Miguel, and Eli, went upstairs.
The rest of the younger students, like Cherry and Anthony, stayed downstairs to be look out. The plan was to get the footage of Silvers's assault on Stingray, a Cobra Kai member, so they could post it on the Cobra Kai YouTube channel, and expose Silver for who he truly was.
Everyone liked that plan, but only a couple of people liked Cherry's other plan, which included hacking Silvers's bank account and sending herself all of his money.
Ten minutes into the lookout mission, every Cobra Kai student showed up in front of their dojo. How had they even known they were there?
A couple of the older Miyagi-do members rushed downstairs, joined by Tory.
"So you're with them now?" Devon stared at the blonde girl across from herself.
"You knew what would happen if him and his friends ever stepped into this dojo again." Kenny looked over at Anthony.
"How'd they know we were here?" Sam asked, looking behind at her friends. "I don't know." Robby frowned.
"Mitch, come on, get your ass over here where you belong." Kyler called over.
Cherry's eyebrows knit with confusion. Penis Breath made his way over to their side, and unzipped his sweater to reveal the Cobra Kai t-shirt he wore underneath.
"Penis Breath, how could you?" Bert frowned.
"I don't know. Maybe 'cause they don't call me Penis Breath. You guys have been so dead set on taking down Cobra Kai. I didn't even wanna leave in the first place. I mean, look around. They got snacks, swag, smoothies. Our dojo doesn't even have a roof. Or, like, any chicks." Penis Breath motioned around the room. "No offense, Sam. Or Cherry."
"All right, Penis Breath, shut up. We got a traitor, y'all got a traitor, so that cancels out. Are we gonna throw down or what?" Kyler rolled his eyes.
"I'm not a traitor." Tory defended. "I'm just not buying what Silver is selling. And neither should any of you."
"I am! Proud traitor." Cherry smiled, earning a laugh from Anthony, who appreciated her light-hearted joke.
"Us? What us? Only person who lied to me is you." Kenny was beginning to get upset.
"Robby's right. You don't wanna do this." Miguel stopped Kenny from getting close to Robby.
"Yeah, I do." Kenny said and threw the first punch.
Both dojos erupted into fights.
Kenny was so confusing. Emotionally confusing. Cherry loved him, she did, she couldn't stop herself from caring about him, but she despised him.
Naturally, Cherry took Anthony's side, and they fought every person who approached them together, moving as an effortless duo.
Upstairs, Demetri and Eli were publishing the clip of the assault to YouTube, while fighting Kyler and some of his friends.
Kenny and Robby were in a fight, but Robby spent the entire time trying to reason with him. Kenny used the same move he'd used on Eli, which resulted in him losing his breath.
Cherry's eyes widened. She paused her fighting for a moment, instead choosing to stare at the way Kenny allowed satisfaction to form a grin on his features.
"Kenny, holy shit!" Cherry spoke, in disbelief, her eyes flicking to him. "What is wrong with you?"
For just a moment, Kenny paused. He felt a horrible pit build in his stomach. It had been caused by the way she looked at him.
With disgust.
The same look she used to give Anthony. And now his old best friend, Cherry, was with the boy who bullied him.
Eli and Demetri rushed downstairs. "Miguel, we got it!" Demetri yelled. A Cobra Kai member tripped Eli, and he dropped the iPad the video was uploading on.
Anthony was quick to pick up the device, and Cherry took his side once more.
"Get him!" Kenny yelled, forgetting all about how upset he'd been.
"Protect the egg!" Robby yelled out.
All of the Miyagi-do members circled Anthony, protecting him. All of the fear that had built up, but knowing Cherry was by his side, relaxed him.
The video was done uploading. "You got it?" Cherry asked. Anthony nodded. The TV chimed as it turned on. The video played, and everyone inside the dojo stared at the screen.
"I need to talk to you." Tory spoke.
"Nichols. What's on your mind? Excited to take things to the next level?" Silver questioned.
"What's the point? You'll just pay to make me champion again."
"So you know about the ref. Have you told anyone else?"
"Not yet. So you don't deny it?"
"Not at all. I paid him off to make sure Cobra Kai won. It was an insurance policy. You still won the fight."
"Did I?"
Kenny made eye contact with Cherry. He looked away immediately. Cherry wished that Kenny had believed her earlier.
"That's it? That was your big plan, larusso? Breaking into my dojo to steal some footage that changes nothing?" Silver appeared in the doorway.
"It wasn't his plan. It was ours. And it changes everything." Tory and Robby spoke up, together.
"Our enemies think they can keep attacking us with no repercussions. And what does the enemy deserve? You think I'm the only one willing to go to these lengths? Their senseis broke into my home tonight. My home! Attacked me, unprovoked. But here I am. The only one left standing. They think they're entitled to victory because their way is right and our way is wrong. But that's not how it works." Silver rambled.
Kenny felt so hurt. So betrayed. He'd changed, he'd become the one thing that he hated.
When Cherry snapped out of whatever delusion she was under, and switched sides, Kenny began to hate her. Why? How? He hated the girl who'd defended him? Who'd moved states for him?
"There are no morals to the story, no happy endings. Life isn't a fairy tale. It's a competitive sport. Right and wrong, there's no such thing. There are only winners and losers. Cobra Kai builds winners, because we're willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top. Everything you did to try and stop me amounted to nothing but pain. You got your ass kicked, Danny-boy. Now, you can either accept that... or I can kick it again right now." Silver threatened, staring at the man across from him.
"We're all with you, Daniel. Do what you have to do." Amanda reassured him.
Anthony's hand returned to its favorite place, Cherry's hand.
Daniel circled silver. The man did the same. "First, I took care of Chozen. Now you. This is where Miyagi-do ends." Silver spoke, his tone bitter.
"Miyagi-do existed before any of us. It'll be around long after we're gone. The roots are strong, so the tree will survive." Daniel replied, putting his fists up.
The pair began to fight, with Daniel blocking all of Silver's punches, kicking him down.
The next hit was to his throat, which caused him to lose his breath. The last hit was in his chest. Silver was kicked into the wall, crashing into the glass, and destroying it.
All of the Cobra Kai members were silent, as opposed to the loud Miyagi-do cheers. One by one, they rid themselves of their Cobra Kai merchandise, tossing the fabric onto Silver's body.
Anthony was so proud of himself, but his parents were quick to rush to Sam's side.
Cherry averted her eyes from his parents, and displayed the biggest smile she could manage. "I'm so proud of you." She enveloped him in a hug, and anthony smiled into her shoulder.
Police cars and ambulances were parked outside the dojo. Their lights were the only glow in the area, and the chatter of a lot of people talking at once was the only noise.
As softly as she could, Cherry smiled at Kenny, as if the simple action would scare him away.
Kenny smiled back, very subtly, and he resisted getting emotional. He couldn't believe that after everything he'd done, she still cared about him.
Cherry ran over to him, hugging him as tight as she could, and began to ramble. "I don't blame you. For anything, okay?" Kenny could only nod in reply, as his arms snaked around her.
Anthony was the next person Cherry greeted. He was sitting beside an ambulance, on the curb of the street. Red and blue lights illuminated his expressionless face.
Suddenly, someone crashed down right next to him with a giant smile.
"Cherry." Anthony greeted, immediately mirroring her grin.
"You're so smart! The way you turned the TV on?" Cherry immediately began to ramble, a trait Anthony had begun to love.
"I know! I stole it from that movie we watched together!" Anthony replied, also getting excited.
"That was so cool!" Cherry smiled, wrapping her arms around him. Anthony pulled away but kept his arms around her.
Suddenly, Cherry pressed her lips against his. Anthony kissed her back, a hand remaining on her shoulder.
Her touch was nothing like anything he'd felt before, and Cherry couldn't have ever thought she could've been that gentle with someone.
She held Anthony as if she were to break him if she touched too hard. He had never had anyone hold him like that, and he loved it. He loved her.
Everything about her, all of her mistakes, and especially the way she looked at him. Cherry constantly had given too much of her love to other people, doing her best to be kind.
Until Cobra Kai completely changed her. She fell in love with the last person she'd expected to. When he saw her, he didn't think of anything else except the person she saw at that moment.
Sweet, kind, and forgiving. They were basically the same person. They felt things nobody else understood except them, and they shared it with only one another.
