Malia and Ava decided to go to the Hale vault to find some information on their family. Ava spotted the safe and walked over to it to try to open it. I was locked and instead of trying to find a key, Ava broke off the handle which opened it finding a file in it.
MALIA + AVA TATE - ADOPTION RECORDS
Peter Hale, the girls' father showed up shortly after that. "I gotta buy a better safe," Peter said giving them a look. "I can't let you leave with that."
"Maybe you won't have a choice," Ava said to her father.
"Is that right?"
"We think we could take you!" The twins said simultaneously.
"You've heard rumours, I'm not as strong as I used to be." He said.
"Something like that," Malia said making Peter punch the column next to him. The twins looked at each other almost having a conversation before handing it back to Peter.
"I said you can't leave with it. I didn't say you couldn't read it."
The file contained a photo of baby Malia and baby Ava and an adoption paper covered in blood. "You wanna talk about it? See a family counsellor?" Peter joked.
"There's nothing in there," Ava said and Malia hummed in agreement.
"Cost me a lot of money to get that file."
"You got ripped off," Malia said bluntly.
"You know what happens when you only hear one side of a story?" Peter asked walking towards them as they moved away from the safe. "You've only heard one side of the story."
"You murdered people! Not killed. Murder!" Malia said bluntly.
"There were extenuating circumstances."
"Like what? The fire?" Ava asked.
"A fire that nearly burned me alive. Six years in a coma. Do you what that's like for one of us? It's not a pleasant sleep. Imagine it. Being trapped in your body, but still being fully cognizant. Unable to do anything other than listen to your thoughts slowly driving you absolutely and insane, minute by minute, day by day." Peter said not knowing how the girls' were stuck as coyotes for some time.
"Yea, we know the feeling." Ava snarked.
"Yes, I've done horrible things. Terrible things. And so have a lot of people. And horrible, terrible things are going to keep happening. Especially when there's a dead pool with your name on it."
"So, now you care." Ava snarked again. "And I don't remember your name on it either."
Peter leant against the safe looking towards us. "True. But I am not The Benefactor. I'm just a gut who's out millions of dollars. A few thousand of which I used trying to help you, two."
"Us?" Malia asked.
"How does the bad guy prove he's not so bad? By doing an act of kindness."
"What could you ever do for us?"
"Help you find your mother," Peter answered. "I'm pretty interested myself as the memory was stolen from me by my sister, Talia."
"Why would Talia help me with my shift, if you are my father? Why would she allow you to bond with me?" Ava asked. "What did you find anyway?"
"A woman might be her. I don't have a name yet, just a particularly interesting alias." Peter answered. "She's called The Desert Wolf."
"Coyote!" Ava sighed.

While Malia went to Stiles, Ava went to the Police station where Jordan Parrish was still working. "You asked me if I was okay? The answer I gave you was yes. The real answer is no!" Jordan put down the file he was reading and turned to Ava.
"What changed your mind?" He asked and Ava sighed.
"I spoke with my birth father and he's trying to find my mother and I tried to hate my friends! I tried so hard but...I..."
"You can't because they're your friends." Jordan smiled. "Well, my shift ends in ten minutes, so if you wait, we can go get some coffee."
"Yeah, I'd like that!"
