Joey's pov
I hear Shawn not far behind me as I continue running through the thick woods. The bastard was dumb enough to think I'd hide in a cave from him. I refuse to let him get me. I'll put up a fight even if it kills me. I decide that running in plain sight isn't the best idea and honestly the sticks on the ground don't help my bare feet. I rush to the steep edge that leads down to a murky creek below. A ten foot drop at the least. I don't dare from this height, I'd break something for sure. But honestly this is my only option at being somewhat hidden besides being a coward and climbing a tree. For all I know Shawn would be the type to bring a chainsaw and cut down the tree himself just to get to me. Regardless I decide against the creek, knowing I'd hurt myself in some way trying to get down there. I continue running down a barely beaten path, my legs throbbing the whole way.
I feel as if by the end of this I won't even have feet to walk on. The pain is almost unbearable as I continue running through the forest, my feet getting cut and bruised from the sticks and rocks on the ground.
the sight of the highway comes into view. I almost want to cry at the sight of it. So close but so far... I break into a sprint, no matter how much it hurts my feet I have to get away. I have to escape.
I scream as Shawn steps out from behind a tree in front of me.
"You thought you could just run?" He sneers. "You're coming back with me Joey."
"I'm not fucking going!" I shout as I change directions, running back in the way I came from.
I stop in my tracks when I see three more guys stalking up the worn path from which I came. All of them wearing a different mask. One with a beat up hockey style mask, another with a long nose, and the final one with long dreads hanging down his face. I want to cry at the sight. They're going to kill me... All of them...
"Don't run Joey. There's no use." I hear Shawn mutter in my ear.
I flinch when I realize he's right. I quickly realize they all carry a different weapon in hand. One with a knife, another with a screwdriver, and the final with something that scares me the most... A gun.
"Stay a while." The one with the dreads comments with a smile that sends chills down my spine.
"You'll love us Joey." The one with long brown hair comments.
"Please... Let me go.." I cry.
"We can't do that now Joey. You're going to be with us a while." Shawn says as he throws me over his shoulder.
I scream bloody murder as he begins walking, handing his bat off to the one with the gun. "P-please!! I'm so sorry! Let me go!!" I sob as I kick my legs and beat his back with my fists.
"I suggest you be quiet." The one with the dreads comments as he walks behind us.
"Fuck you!" I scream before I spit in his face.. "I hate you!!"
He instantly points the gun at my forehead.
"Be. Quiet." He growls.
I quickly go silent aside from my quiet sobs.
"Attaboy."
"P-please..." I whisper desperately. "Let me go.."
"What did I just fucking tell you?!" He shouts behind me.
"I'm sorry! I'm-" That's all I can get out before he smacks the gun across my face and the world goes black.
. . .
My body is cold as I wake up, my head pounding once again and my legs burning.
"Look who's finally up." Corey walks towards me with a lighthearted smile.
I flinch away from him, already afraid he'll do something to me.
"Hey you got nothing to be scared of from me man. Just here to help." He chuckles before placing a makeshift ice pack on my forehead.
I feel tears burn my eyes when I finally realize where I am. "Please... Just let me go..." I look up at him with pleading eyes.
"Sorry kid, you're gonna be here a while after the stunt you pulled three days ago." He says nonchalantly.
"T-three days..?"
"Three, that's right. You've been out a while." He comments.
"Why didn't you tell me he woke up!!" Jim exclaims as he rushes over to me. "Are you okay Joey?" He asks sweetly.
"Fuck no." I grumble.
"You still smell terrible." Sid comments as he walks in the living room with Shawn.
"Corey get him up." Shawn snaps. "He's getting a shower."
Corey nods and hoists me up to my feet. I yelp when I put pressure on them. He quickly realizes and carries me in his arms.
"Shit man, you do smell bad." He laughs as he sets me on the bathroom countertop.
"Not my fault I've been kept here captive." I snap.
"Ay no need to get snippy with me. I'm actually going to get you clean right now." He says as he turns on the water. "I guess you can't really stand so I'm assuming it's going to be a bath." He says softly.
I huff and cross my arms.
"Corey go find him some clothes." Shawn comments. Corey quickly walks out of the room, leaving me with Shawn.
"Can you get your clothes off or do I have to?" He asks.
"I can do it." I say as I hop off of the counter to the ground, quickly crippling myself because of the shooting pain in my feet.
"Yeah that looks like you can't." Shawn comments, holding me up long enough to take off my pants. "Take off your shirt." He commands as he sets me back on the counter so he doesn't have to hold me up.
I do as he says quickly.
"Could you... Uh... Maybe turn away..?" I ask, my hands on the waistband of my boxers.
He chuckles. "Sure kid." He turns around, facing the door. I sigh and take off my boxers, leaving me completely bare. That's when I realize that I can't get to the tub...
"Fuck..."
"You need help?" Shawn questions.
"I'm fine." I snap as I hop off the counter, immediately falling to the floor once again.
"Yeah you need some help." Shawn replies and turns around. I cover myself as he helps me into the tub. "There's no need to hide yourself, we're all the same here." He comments before turning back around.
"I don't like people seeing my body..." I mumble.
He hums in response. "Well clean yourself up before the water gets cold."
