Alexa POV

STILES was calling Scott, Aaron, and I from the school.

"Get your asses down here now. We have a job to do." Stiles said

"Dude, I'm already in bed." Scott said

"And aren't we getting a little old for this?" I asked

"We do this for Coach." Stiles said

"I thought we did this to Coach." I said

"Whatever, okay? You know he needs this. He lives for this stuff. He loves it." Stiles said

"But it's the middle of the night." Aaron argued

"Which means it's after midnight and officially Mischief Night/Day, and, by perfectly awesome coincidence, it's also happens to be Coach's birthday. So if you are not down here in five seconds, I will destroy you. Okay? And I mean five, four, three, two-" Stiles started

Scott, Aaron, and I appeared behind Stiles.

"One." Scott, Aaron, and I said, in unison

"I hate you." Stiles said

That morning, I drove to school with Aaron. I saw Ethan and Aiden talking to Scott and Stiles. I walked over and stood in between Aiden and Ethan. While Aaron stood to the side, watching.

"You're back in school?" Scott asked

"No, just to talk." Ethan said

"Oh. That's kind of a change of pace for you guys. Usually, you're just hurting, maiming, and killing." Stiles said

"You need a pack. We need an Alpha." Aiden said

"Yeah. Absolutely not. That's hilarious though." Stiles said

"You came to us for help. We helped." Aiden said

"You beat his face into a bloody pulp. That's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counter-productive." Stiles said

"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked

"We'd add strength. We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no." Aiden said

"I can think of one." Isaac said

Isaac walked up to us.

"Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now." Isaac said

Aiden barred his teeth, flashing his blue eyes.

"You want to try?" Aiden asked

I grabbed Aiden's hand to keep him from doing anything.

"Sorry, but they don't trust you. And neither do I." Scott said

Isaac, Scott, Stiles, and Aaron walked away while I stayed with Ethan and Aiden.

"What now?" Ethan asked

Aiden looked towards the school sign.

"No. No way." Ethan said

"We never finished." Aiden said

"And we don't have to." Ethan said

"What if I want to?" Aiden asked

"You seriously want to go back to high school?" Ethan asked

"This is about getting Scott to change his mind. We're not just Betas anymore. We're Omegas. The bitches, remember? When everyone we've screwed over finds out we don't have a pack anymore, what do you think's going to happen? We're dead on our own." Aiden said

"That's still better than being back in high school. I'm not doing it. No way." Ethan said

Ethan was about to leave, when Aiden and I looked behind Ethan and smiled.

"What?" Ethan asked

I motioned for him to turn around and he does. He saw Danny laughing with another guy, before he turned back around.

"I'm not taking math." Ethan said

"I'll take it for you." Aiden said

We were sitting in Econ class, when suddenly we heard a bang.

"Son of a bitch!" Coach yelled

He stormed into the classroom.

"Mischief Night, Devil's Night. I don't care what you call it. You little punks are evil. You think it's funny every Halloween my house gets egged? A man's house is supposed to be his castle. Mine's a frickin' omelet." Coach exclaimed

Coach slammed Scott's desk with his hands and the whole class began to laugh even more. Coach picked up a gift box with a bow on it.

"Oh, this? We're gonna do this again? I don't think so." Coach said

He dropped the box to the ground and stepped on it, only to hear the sound of glass breaking. He bent over and picked up the—now broken—mug, that said #1 Coach, and read the card.

"'Happy Birthday. Love, Greenberg.'" Coach read

I looked next to my and saw Lydia swatting around her head.

"What are you doing?" I asked

"There's a fly." Lydia said

In the hallway, Stiles, Isaac, Lydia, Allison, Aaron, and I were walking down the stairs. Stiles was telling us about this Barrow guy, who apparently went after kids with glowing eyes, and he got up in the middle of his surgery.

"Barrow went after kids with glowing eyes?" Isaac asked

"He said those exact words?" Aaron asked

"Yeah. And no one knows how he woke up from anesthesia. Just that when they opened him up, they found a tumor full of live flies, which in any other circumstance would be all kinds of awesome." Stiles said

"Did you say flies?" Lydia asked

"Lydia?" Allison asked

"All day I have been hearing this sound. It's like, this buzzing." Lydia said

"Like the sound of flies?" Allison asked

"Exactly like the sound of flies." Lydia confirmed

Later, I met up with Scott, Isaac, Aaron, Aiden, and Ethan in the basement.

"Lydia thinks that he's still here even though the cops searched the whole school. But they didn't have one thing." Scott said

Scott pulled out a hospital gown, which I assumed belonged to Barrow.

"Our sense of smell." Scott said

In the boiler room, Aiden, Ethan, and I were searching for Barrow. Suddenly Ethan stopped.

"You got something?" I asked

We turned the corner and saw Danny and the guy he was hanging out with earlier, making out. Aiden and I looked at each other, and started cracking up.

"Oh, really?" Ethan said

Ethan stared at Danny. We continued walking until the fire alarm went off, suddenly. We ran out of the boiler room and met up with Aaron, Scott, Lydia, Stiles, and Isaac.

"We didn't find anything." Aiden said

"Not even a scent." I added

"It's 3:00, so school's over. If there was a bomb, wouldn't he have set it off by now?" Stiles asked

"Does that mean everybody's safe?" Aaron asked

"I don't know. I just I don't know." Lydia replied

"That's not exactly my color." I heard Peter say

'Peter? What's he doing here?' I thought. Aiden and I walked hand-in-hand into the loft and saw Derek sitting in a chair. I ran over to Derek and gave him a hug, while Aiden stayed near the door.

"What the hell is going on? Derek are you okay?" I asked

Derek nodded, and I looked up and saw Peter had his claws out.

"This is going to be excruciatingly painful." Peter said

"Just do it." Derek said

"Oh, I'm going to. I just wanted you to know we all have our petty revenges." Peter said

"What the hell is going on?" I asked, again

No one answered me because Peter stuck the claws into Derek's neck, and Derek reached out and grabbed my hand. Peter pulled out the claws and Derek was breathing heavily.

"Did you see her? What did you ask her? Did she say anything about me?" Peter asked

Derek looked at Peter and glared.

"Well, that doesn't look good." Peter said

Later, Peter left to give Derek, Aiden, and I space. I figured it would be a good time to figure out how this whole bonded situation would work.

"Are you okay?" I asked

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Derek said

He turned away from me.

"What did you see?" I asked

"My mother." Derek whispered

"Oh, what did she say?" I asked

"Nothing important." Derek said

I sighed knowing this was gonna be difficult.

"Are you lying?" I asked

"No." Derek said

"Then tell me." I said

"It's nothing, okay? Just let it go!" Derek yelled

I stumbled back, shocked at Derek's outburst. Aiden barred his teeth and growled, flashing his eyes at Derek. I grabbed Aiden's hand to stop him from doing anything.

"Lex, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you." Derek said

"No, it's okay." I said

I walked in front of him.

"So, where have you been. I mean, I know you went to South America, but you were gone a long time. So where were you?" I asked

"Don't worry about it, I'm here now." Derek said

He looked me in the eyes.

"Derek, I worried because I felt it." I said

"You know, I missed you. Have you missed me?" Derek asked, changing the subject

"Hmm, I don't know." I said

I shrugged and he seemed to take offense.

"You know all I did was think about you, when I was gone." Derek said

I smiled which caused him to do the same. I looked up at him and I couldn't take it anymore, I wanted him. He smirked and I knew he heard my heartbeat rise. He pulled me in and our lips met, and they began to move together. He hands were traveling all over my back and it gave me shivers.

He picked me up by my waist and I wrapped my legs around him. He threw me on the bed and I watched him take off his shirt. I looked over at the door and saw Aiden staring at us. I beckoned him with my finger to come over. He looked uncertain for a second, but all hesitation left and he pulled off his shirt, joining Derek and I at the bed.

Derek hovered over me and began kissing one side of my neck, Aiden taking the other. I kicked off my shoes and Aiden took off my top. I tried to wiggle out of my pants but nothing was working, so Derek just pulled them off and threw them somewhere. I smiled and brought Aiden down for a kiss.
