DING DONG.
DING DONG.
DING DONG.
DING DONG.
The clock chimes of the church near your home disturbed your sleep.
You awoke with a foggy mind.
It seems like your body was more awake than your brain. Already sitting up with the intent to find a 3 am snack from the kitchen.
You looked at your night stand through blurry vision.
There looked to be a flashlight on it. Huh, that's weird. You don't remember falling asleep with a flashlight...
Oh well! At least you wouldn't have to turn the lights on.
You grabbed it, pressing the power button to test if it was working. A strong beam of light lit up your room. You rubbed your eyes, glancing to your night stand again.
Wait a minute. This wasn't your night stand.
You looked around, seeing unfamiliar wallpaper and furniture.
Wait a minute. This wasn't your room.
...Uh, oh well? Even if this wasn't your house there had to be a kitchen somewhere, right?
You were inside of a fairly large room. The walls had old patterns, and the furniture didn't look new, either. There were toys scattered around the floor, indicating this must've been a child's room.
Why would a little child have such a big room, though? Especially with two doors and a large closet in the middle. How big were the rest of the rooms?
Pitter patter pitter patter.
The sound made you freeze. Someone else was here with you?
Slowly, you snuck towards the left door. Opening it by a crack, and peeking into the hall. You turned the flashlight on.
Something ducked away behind a corner.
NO. NO. WHAT IN THE CASUAL BONGOS FUCK WAS THAT?!
Something was in the house with you, and it looked entirely inhuman.
You shut your door, putting your weight on the handle. You checked for a lock, but it didn't seem to have any.
Of course. Child's room, after all.
Steps sounded from beyond the other door.
You gasped. Of course, it was trying another way inside!
You were in the middle of the room when you heard the closet hinges creak. Your light landed on it just in time to see something close the doors from the inside.
Your heart pounded in your ears. For some reason, you approached.
A hand hesitantly reached for the handle. You opened it for a second, just enough time for a ripped muzzle to screech at you before you shut it in its face.
"AH!" Your short, but ear-piercing shriek probably woke your neighbors up. Or at least their dog. You heard it barking from the backyard.
What the HELL was going on? Why was there a broken Roxy in your closet?!
Why did she look like- like THAT?!
You clenched the doors shut like your life depended on it. By now your hands have gotten so shaky you could barely keep the strength to do so.
You couldn't stay like this forever. Reluctantly, you slid the closet door open again.
You half-expected the robot to jump out again, and this time take one of your arms as a treat. But it was just...gone.
You checked around the whole space with your flashlight. On the floor, there looked to be a harmless little Roxanne Wolf plush.
Huh? Wait, this couldn't be right! That couldn't have been what scared you, right?
Nonetheless, you figured you could leave it like that now that it was gone.
You went to the right door.
Something was...breathing. Heavily.
A nightmarish version of Pizzaplex Chica screeched in your face.
All you saw was a beak- or what was left of her beak thrusting at you from the darkness. A cracked, gaping maw with an exposed endo jaw and pointy teeth
You shut the door so hard, you wouldn't be surprised if it knocked a couple teeth loose.
They followed me home, that has to be it!
Step Step Step Step, you heard from the other hallway.
You ran to the other door, shutting it in an instant.
That was the wrong move.
Whatever was on the other side pulled thrice as hard. The door launched open, and an (even more than normally) hideous Montgomery Gator roared.
Its teeth looked like they had been sharpened with precision. Better than any kitchen knife.
You screamed. There wasn't much else to do. So you chucked your flashlight at its face.
It snarled and backed away from the attack, and you took that as your chance.
You slammed the door.
Panting for breath, you put one hand on the wall and one holding the nob, just in case it tries to open it.
When that didn't happen, you stared at the door for a couple moments.
You threw away the flashlight. What seemed like an irreplaceable tool to fend off these things.
Now what were you gonna do? You could barely see in front of you!
The one thing you could see was your window.
The sky was red. swaying shapes of trees looked like shadowy hands trying to grasp at the curtains. You closed them with a rattle.
Wait. The room you were in didn't have windows.
It was like the previous room and your own were on the same plane, but not mixing right. Parts of each flashed in and out of existence.
What is happening?
The church bells chimed again. Red illuminated the room.
But I thought I closed the curtains-
You turned, just in time to make out the silhouette of something vaguely humanoid appearing out of the closet.
The one red eye and its cackle were your only clues as to what this was.
That creepy daycare attendant.
You backed away, until the frame of the bed met your legs.
The moon thing crept closer, wiggling its nails with horrible rusted squeaks. It must've been hungry for revenge after your last encounter, that's for sure. You were a fool for thinking you could get away.
It's steps were slow and meticulous. Drawing out the time of your demise so he could have fun watching you cower with fear.
It was a hair away from you, when it suddenly stopped. Then re-traced its steps, and backed away to where it came from.
Huh?
Behind you, the bed creaked.
You froze.
The bed behind you rose up as something materialized beneath it.
Shaking, you spun around.
Your eyes could faintly make out a large figure with a tophat and red eyes.
You screamed.
It grabbed you in its claws, lifted you up, and then-
CRUNCH

Did you die? It's so dark... You didn't feel any pain...
Wait...you weren't alone!
In the void, two pinpricks of light pierced through you like a blade.
Who is that? I feel like...I know them.
It feels like ...they're looking straight into my soul...
You couldn't look away. The thought never even came to you.
Without explanation, words manifested themselves in your mind.
