"I missed YOU."

10:47am

The night air was cold, crisp, and filled with the scent of damp earth and pine as Y/n stood in the forest, waiting. Her crutches sank slightly into the soft ground, and she shifted her weight carefully, her eyes scanning the darkness around her. The forest stretched wide, its thick canopy creating a maze of twisted branches and shifting shadows.

She had been here for an hour now, standing in silence. Watching. Listening. Waiting.

And then, she heard it.

Distant, thunderous crashes. Metal against metal. The heavy tremor of the ground beneath her feet. It was subtle at firstβ€”like distant thunder rolling across the sky. But it grew louder, more violent, and more erratic.

Fighting.

Her head tilted slightly, the loose joint in her spine forcing her to support it with one hand as she listened.

A deep, metallic snarl echoed through the trees, followed by the sharp whine of weapons being fired. Bright flashes of blue and red light streaked through the forest beyond, illuminating the silhouettes of towering figures in the clearing just ahead.

Y/n moved forward cautiously, stepping carefully over fallen branches and uneven terrain. Her wings rustled slightly against the oversized sweater draped over her form, but she remained as quiet as possible.

Peering through the gaps in the trees, she finally saw them.

Two warring factions.

The Autobots and the Decepticons.

Their massive metal bodies clashed in a violent, chaotic struggle, fighting over a jagged asteroid lodged deep into the earth. The asteroid itself pulsed with raw Energon, glowing a vibrant, eerie blue that cast an unnatural glow over the battlefield.

Optimus Prime stood firm, his towering frame exuding authority as he clashed with Megatron, their weapons colliding in a shower of sparks. Megatron snarled, optics burning with rage, his massive cannon humming with barely restrained power.

To the side, Arcee darted between Breakdown's brutal swings, her movements quick and precise as she fired off shots in rapid succession. Breakdown grunted in frustration, his large frame making it difficult to keep up with the smaller Autobot.

Soundwave, ever silent, moved like a shadowβ€”observing, calculating. His visor flickered with streams of data as he subtly directed his fellow Decepticons from the sidelines, relaying battle strategies without a single word.

Knockout, on the other hand, was less restrained, dodging Bulkhead's attacks with an infuriatingly smug expression. "Ugh, do you mind? You're going to scratch the finish!" he scoffed, narrowly avoiding a powerful swing.

Starscream was airborne, shrieking orders and occasionally taking potshots from a safe distance. "Keep them away from the Energon, you fools!" he screeched.

Y/n observed it all, utterly still.

The sound of clashing metal, the pulsing energy of the asteroid, the sheer scale of it allβ€”it was overwhelming, yet fascinating. Her mind processed every movement, every interaction, every weak point she could spot in the chaos.

She should leave.

She should.

But instead, she took another step forward.

She wanted to see more.
