'You're going to need someone to make sure you get back home safely,' he defended himself with a flimsy excuse.
'And you're just the perfect knight in shining armour aren't you?' you narrowed your eyes at him before both of you burst out laughing. 'Fine, fine you can come but you have to pay for my coffee,'
'Deal,' he grinned.
Weekend
'Hey,' you greeted Jackson with a smile, dumping your bag with muffled thump as it hit the wooden chair. 'Were you waiting for someone?" you asked curious, as you noticed that he was constantly checking his phone and staring out the window as if expecting someone.
'Incidentally, I am,' he said, gesturing for you to sit down. 'I asked a... friend of mine to come over, I hope you don't mind,'
'It's no problem,' you shrugged, tieing your long silky (H/C) into a low ponytail, ready to get down to business. 'I invited Jinyoung too, or more like he invited himself,' you said, rolling your eyes at the mention of your boyfriend.
'Speak of the devil,' Jackson muttered under his breath as he nodded towards the figure who had just entered the cafΓ©. Jinyoung scanned his surroundings for a while before his eyes finally found you, making a beeline towards your table.
'I hope I'm not late,' he apologised sheepishly, hands deep in his pockets as you ogled his outfit. He looked, much better than he normally did which was breath-taking enough. With a white turtleneck, worn denim jacket and faded jeans he looked like he had come out straight from a magazine shoot, his hair for once not in his eyes as he ran a hand through it. Had you seen him from afar, you would have had trouble picking your jaw up from the ground.
'Um Earth to (Y/N)?" Jackson's voice called out faintly as if he was calling you from the other side of the room, your eyes riveted on Jinyoung.
A sharp pinch, brought you back to reality and you winced, rubbing the sore sport on the back of your arm as Jinyoung smirked.
'Huh, what?' you asked Jackson, still in a daze.
'I asked you what you wanted to order,' he repeated his question slowly, as if taking to a dumb person, which was what you had been reduced to the moment you set your eyes on your boyfriend.
'I'll get it for her,' Jinyoung said almost authoritatively, pushing you gently onto a chair as he headed for the cashier.
Shaking your head, trying to clear the fog that had somehow enveloped it, you turned to Jackson, mind still wandering. Had he dressed that way on purpose just to make sure you wouldn't pay attention to Jackson the entire day? Well if that was the plan, then it was definitely working.
'Are you ok? You look kind of... I don't know, lost?" Jackson waved a hand cheekily in front of your face as you tried to snap out of the lazy dream world you had entered whacking his hand away with a laugh.
'Nothing, just in desperate need of caffeine,' you quickly made up an excuse.
'Here then,' a tray was placed on the table as Jinyoung nudged your iced mocha towards you, your favourite order.
'Thanks,' you rummaged around your bag, looking for money to pay him back but he shook his head refusing the money.
Instead he sat down, smoothly pushing the money back towards you, sipping on his own Americano.
'Well,' you looked at both boys, trying to make an effort NOT to be distracted by Jinyoung. 'Let's get started then,'
2 Hours Later
A frown formed on Jackson's usual cheerful sunny face as he called someone, his voice hushed and whispered.
'Sorry about that,' he sighed, sitting down after having made the 3rd call. 'I'm just worried about someone, she was supposed to meet me half an hour ago here but she hasn't arrived yet,'
'Who is it?' you leaned forward, curious.
'Well, you see its my girl-,' he was about to say something before he was cut off when he saw someone come into the cafΓ©.
Immediately standing, he headed for the girl, taking her in his arms before placing a kiss on her head, leading her back to your table, hands laced together.
'My girlfriend,' he stated firmly.
She was undoubtedly pretty, huge eyes framed by long lashes as she smiled up at Jackson with a look that reminded you of how you looked at Jinyoung.
'Guys this is Andrea, my girlfriend,' Jackson smiled proudly as he dragged out a chair for her to sit.
She smiled shyly, hiding behind her curtain of long dark hair. 'Andrea this is (Y/N) and Jinyoung, her boyfriend,' he introduced before plopping down to sit next to her, his eyes never really leaving her face.
'I mostly transferred for her,' he grinned, elbowing her as she shot a loving glare at him.
'That's actually so sweeetttt, isn't it Jinyoung?' you asked your boyfriend who had a weird mixture of emotions on his face. Embarrassment, surprise and relief flashed on his face.
'Um yeah sure,' he cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. Taking your hand, he shot you a look that was half-exasperation and half don't-ask-me-about-this-later-please.
Laughing quietly, you chose to ignore his silent plea, before turning around, striking up a conversation with Andrea.
2 Hours Later
'Well, we gotta get going,' Jackson said, as he stood up, Andrea in suit. 'Thanks for the help though (Y/N), I'll see you at school on Monday,' he flashed you a grin before leaving with his girlfriend, hands intertwined as they left.
Rounding on Park Jinyoung you had a mischevious smirk on your face. 'Sooooo, what was that back there?" you asked, wanting to get straight to the point.
'I don't know what you're talking about,' he denied gruffly, trying to avoid looking at you.
'Pfft, I'm not blind Jinyoung, you were jealous, weren't you? Hm? Hm? Hm?' your smiled widened with each 'Hm' as you poked his arm.
'Hmph,' he crossed his arms against his chest. 'Fine, I was and HAVE been jealous of you and Jackson for the past 2 weeks,' he admitted and there was a slight flush as he finally told you what he had been feeling.
'You guys just started hanging out so much and you had every single class together and it was like both of you were inseperable, I was beginning to think that...' he trailed off, almost afraid to say the words.
Your heart melted a little bit hearing his words and you felt a small bit of happiness when he finally admitted that he was actually being jealous.
'Dummy,' smiled softly, punching him lightly in the arm. 'We only hung out because I'm his student guide, I didn't really have a choice,' you explained, to his surprise.
'Well- I'm- so,' he stuttered, tripping over his words, as for once he seemed at a lost.
'You know,' you tapped the bottom of your lip thoughtfully. 'You're actually kind of cute when you're jealous, I should make you jealous more often,'
'It's not my fault if I love you,' he pouted resting his head on top of yours.
'And, I love you, despite you being the overprotective ass that you are,' you giggled, as he pressed a warm kiss against your forehead.
'Less hanging out with Jackson, more hanging out with me,' Jinyoung joked as you turned to him, eyesbrow raised.
'And what if I like hanging out with him?"
'(Y/N),' he said warningly, as you pinched his cheeks.
'I'm just kidding,' you giggled as he rolled his eyes skyward, both of you hands intertwined, as you left the cafΓ© for a walk under the beautiful azure sky.
