"I have no idea who it is," said Bucky, watching as more of the creatures approached them on all fours. Or sixes.
Cat thought for a second as she began shooting. "Thor," she said. "It's Thor."
"The space god?" questioned Bucky, firing bullets toward the monsters as well.
"That's him," said Cat, watching as Thor flew through the air, lighting glowing, and came down with a smash, killing all the creatures in the vicinity.
"He's something," commented Bucky.
Suddenly, monsters overloaded Bucky, having him back away from Cat, not wanting to be attacked. He ran backward, shooting his gun, but so many ran toward him that it was overwhelming.
He grunted as he ducked under the monsters clawing at him, trying his best to hurt them in fatal areas.
"Cat, behind you!" he yelled. Cat quickly whipped around and gasped. She immediately dropped her gun beside her and used her powers to hold the alien off. It clawed and bit at the air. Hearing Bucky shooting, she used her powers to redirect one of his bullets toward the animal she was fighting. It flew backward lifelessly as the bullet hit.
Cat looked back at Bucky for a moment, who was now surrounded by the aliens. He picked up the creature next to him, which was also holding a gun, and spun with him, both shooting in all directions.
"How much for the gun?" she heard it ask, just as Bucky put him down.
Bucky continued shooting at the monsters. "Not for sale."
"Okay, how much for the arm?"
Bucky looked down at him, almost annoyed. After the path had been cleared for him to make his way back to Catarina, he held his gun upward on his shoulder and walked over.
Cat used her powers to kick away one of the monsters coming near her.
"This is the weirdest day of my life," said Bucky, as he began firing bullets once again.
Suddenly Cat felt the ground rumbling. She looked Bucky in the eyes, then turned the opposite way quickly to see a giant machine made of multiple spinning wheels, meant to crush anything in its way. She widened her eyes.
"C'mon!" said Bucky, running away from the one that had just come up from the ground. He took her hand and began running at full speed. She let her gun fall to her waist on the strap and used her powers to keep up with his super-soldier speed.
More of the wheeled machines came up from the ground and began rolling every which way, running over anyone in its path. As they went, they broke into five wheels each, creating more paths of destruction, and without the extra weight, going faster than before. Suddenly, just beside them as they ran, a cloud of red erupted in front of one of the wheeled machines and stopped it from running over Natasha and Okoye. The magic then split it into pieces and ran them over the creatures running toward. In the middle of it all stood Wanda.
"Look," said Cat, stopping in her tracks. One of the creatures came to fight again, and Bucky shot it away.
"Guys, we got a Vision situation here," said Sam's voice over the comms. Cat looked toward the lab to see Vision fighting one of the army's leaders up above.
"Somebody get to Vision!" yelled Steve's voice.
"I got him," said Bruce's voice.
"On my way," announced Wanda, but her communication was abruptly shut down with a grunt. Cat heard nothing more.
"I have to go," she told Bucky, letting go of his hand and running the other way.
"Catarina!" he yelled back. One of the creatures began running toward him, and he started shooting in its direction.
"She's my friend!" she yelled, louder this time, as she was further away. She didn't break eye contact yet, but she still ran as quickly as possible. "I love you!" she yelled, now across a field of the aliens, kicking them to the side as she ran.
"He'll die alone. As will you," said a deep voice abruptly, just near Cat.
She then heard Natasha's voice. "She's not alone."
Nat glanced up at Cat quickly and winked just before the alien woman spun around. She gritted her teeth and turned once again to see Okoye, pointing her spear, then once more to see Cat, standing ready to fight.
She had horns coming from her head, just at her hairline. Her hair was a dark, midnight blue, and her eyes had red irises. She had the same blue color around her eyes and a stripe of the color from her lower lip to her chin. She definitely did not look of this world.
She ran towards Natasha, who quickly took out a baton and began fighting back with it. Okoye joined in as well. As both Nat and Okoye fought her off with weapons, Cat attempted to hold her back from behind — but the woman was much too strong. She felt the grip of Cat's powers and slashed her sword toward her, slashing her cheek, then pushed her away with a hard kick to the stomach while Cat was distracted. As she stumbled backward, Cat cursed herself for having stood so close.
Cat groaned and laid back powerless as Okoye and Natasha continued to fight. As Okoye was about to strike a blow, the woman took hold of her upper body and threw her to the side. Nat, the last one left fighting, soon became overpowered, and the horned woman pinned her to the ground. The woman retracted a knife from her suit and got ready to stab the Black Widow with it. Natasha blocked it by making an X shape with her weapons — two electrically charged staffs.
The woman leaned the knife forward, and it was about to pierce Natasha's neck... but in a flash of red, the knife was interrupted. Wanda had stood and used her magic to block the blade. She then took ahold of the alien woman and knocked her backward into one of the wheeled machines passing by. Her blood splattered, and Wanda collapsed back down in tiredness.
Natasha sat up — some of the alien woman's blue blood was on her face.
"That was really gross," she said.
