Jay's POV:

"Shh, don't even try to scream"

Hana slapped her forehead before grabbing my hand in hers, I cheekily smiled upon her frowned face. Today is our weekend together, without Giselle, who's been with us for 5 days already.

"What ever happened to the chef I had married?" I frowned at my beautiful wife's saying, "Right here?" I asked back, tilting my head to meet her eyes however I did not.

I inhaled a sharp breath as she applied a cold ointment to my cut finger, ever so gently but with an almost harsh grip to deliver her anger. Have I ever mentioned my little 5'5" wife's big temperament?

"Be more careful Jay, move aside. I'll handle the rest."

The rest implies to our half way through baking of cake, I had prolonged the process because of the little bloody cut. Lord, I haven't the clue as to how I did it, but damn, my wife never ceases to not surprise me.

My wife, Hana pushed up her yellow sleeves of the fitted sweatshirt she was wearing, following to her long hair which previously cascaded till her back, now put in a claw clip up-do, and resumed my work on the end of making the cake.

It wasn't for any special occasion really, just bored and decided why not when we have  guest over any way.

Who is currently not here, yay.

More time to spend with my wife.

I moved forward sneaking behind her, her breaths audible as soon as I rested my head on her shoulder, my bandaged hand covering her hips, she may not show it, but her body reacts so much more.

Those goosebumps. Those heavy audible breaths. My heart beating against her back that I'm sure she feels it.

"Give over the extract," She asks in her sweet voice, her fingers tapping on my hand as to gather my attention, I do not move an inch however.

I had to stifle my laughter when she turned her head to my face, scanning my face. "Fine." She huffed. I smiled with mischievous lacing my face when she pushed away my hands from her torso, I pulled her back with no effort however.

"Patience love" I winked, back in the same position as I put infront of her in my fist the vanilla extract. I could notice her rolling her eyes from above her head before snatching it out.

How cute it is to tease her.

10 minutes later of me recharging attached to my living-walking-talking power bank, she had put the cake in to the oven while I arranged the temperature, departing from her while she left the kitchen.

By the time we were done, it was 4 in the evening, so I plopped down next to her. She was busy on her phone, her eyes attached to the same, while mine.

Attached towards hers.

She had to put down her device because of my shameless actions, now looking directly back at me, "What?" I asked, smiling, she shook her head in response with a smile.

The only one worth and control of my attention, blushing.

Her fingers grazed upon my injured ones, her eyes soft while a yawn escaped her mouth, I glanced between her lips and my hands. One swift move and I could easily capture her both hands in my mine behind her while she feigns helplessness.

But no.

Nope.

"Coffee?" She nods, looking up. I smiled upon her star like eyes.

"Get ready then, it's chilly out. Convenience or cafe?" I ask, whatever she wants, happens.

She immediately understands my words. No matter how broken down, complicated or abbreviated as I put it, she answers "Convenience store!"

I nod smiling, grabbing my jacket while she ran upstairs, presumably for her puffer and some heavier duty pants, she was in shorts all long.

I waited around for my wife to be ready, occupying myself with the cake bloating in the oven, there was still 30 minutes left, and it turns off by its own, so I could rest assured with Hana if we happen to not return by the time.

"Let's go!" I hear my cheery kid's voice, who was already rushing out the door, I chuckled following behind her, locking the door and unlocking the car as she situated herself in my passenger seat  a minute earlier than I came.

"Seatbelt?" I looked to my side, her nodding while I did the same. She looked unsure for some reason however.

I started the engine before speaking up, "What happened? Something bothering you, pollution, global warming my darling?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood but I knew these problems were serious and we try to work in favour of them.

She slapped my arm with the pretty smile I always adored of hers. "I was wondering if.."

"If?"

"Can we walk there instead?" My eyes grew in silent surprise, I don't oppose her idea, it's just, weirdly mesmerising, seeing her-

"Can weee?"

I had to quickly snap out of my thoughts, smiling at her so naturally like she makes me at this point, who could guess that once upon a time, she used to think I hated her very existence.

No one but she would.

As her anticipated answer, I turned off the engine, tilting my head as I signalled her to come out.

She expressed her excitement, jumping and waddling henceforth, as I smiled at our hands interlocked.

"WOOHOOOO" I mentally had to slap myself at my wife's no filter personality as she began her chattering about what's happening in her daily life, even though we live together.

And so was our long seeming yet very short walk to the convenience store, followed with strolling the park. How time goes by so slow yet so fast.

Hana was licking her butterscotch cone, while I sipped on hot coffee. We were both seated in the convenience store still, since it was so windy out, we decided what more important is at home than to sit around.

"Yah, eat it up fast, you'll catch a cold stupid" I reprimanded, she's licking the ice cream layer by layer with all the time in the world, but her sensitive stomach most probably will not agree.

She rolled her eyes in response, a habit of hers, so cute.

"Okay mother"

I gasped as I feign a offended expression, "How dare you disregard your mother as someone else, foolish homo sapien."

Hana looked at me for a second too long, her eyes holding some feeling I couldn't unravel. I thought I really took it too weird for my own liking.

"So-"

I was cut off.

By her loud, cackling laughter.

She was stomping her feet while her nose turned red, head on the table infront of us. The people outside upon seeing her must've even heard her wheezing.

So I started laughing too.

Because she's so funny that she finds me funny.

"W-why would youeven say tHat" Her voice came in pitches different, slowly stopping her session as she dramatically inhaled and exhaled her breath.

I chuckled.

I shrugged. I don't know, but I'm just glad it made you cry from laughter because of me.

"I don't know," I answered, my thoughts left unsaid.

"Syure"

I laughed out loud, "Syure? What the hell?" We both laughed at eachother's stupid jokes, some not even joked at this point but only our brain cells sleeping.

We both stopped and gazed outside at the evening sky, our breaths audible to both of us while we resumed and finished eating. Before offering my hand as she took mine, and we both led eachother to the park.

"How should we decorate the cake?"

She groaned, "Ugh, do we have to. Cake is cake, let's just eat it."

Tch, must be the first time a girl is skipping out on decorating damn cake.

The cream, the frosting. It is the cake.

"You disgrace," I slapped the back of her forehead.

Which she again, for the nth time in our day, and for the life time we spend with eachother hopefully, she will continue this playful habit, she rolls her eyes.
