The battlefield roared as Yoshika’s flames intensified, her Pyro Vision fully awakened. The golden inferno around her twisted and swirled, illuminating the darkened sky above Fontaine. Capitano stood firm, his massive sword raised in anticipation, his armor absorbing the heat without hesitation.
"Your flames burn brightly," Capitano observed, his voice unwavering. "But fire alone won’t break me."
Yoshika smirked, her spear gleaming in the firelight. "Then I’ll just have to turn up the heat."
With a sudden burst of speed, she closed the gap, her spear striking against Capitano’s sword with a deafening clang. The impact sent flames spiraling outward, scorching the ground beneath them. Capitano countered swiftly, his sheer strength forcing Yoshika to leap back, barely dodging his blade as it carved through the air.
But she wasn’t retreating. Instead, she twisted mid-air, launching a powerful Pyro-infused strike toward him. Flames surged like a crashing wave, engulfing Capitano’s form. The force sent tremors through the battlefield, forcing even the surrounding soldiers to stop and shield themselves from the overwhelming heat.
For a brief moment, it seemed like she had the upper hand. But then—
A deep, booming voice cut through the flames.
"Impressive. But not enough."
The fire parted. Capitano emerged from the inferno, completely unharmed. His sword, now glowing with an eerie dark energy, pulsed with power. The ground beneath them cracked as he swung his blade, sending a shockwave straight toward Yoshika.
Her eyes widened. There was no time to dodge—
BOOM!
The impact sent her flying, crashing into the ruins of a Fontainean building. The dust and debris settled as she struggled to her feet, her breath ragged. Her spear trembled in her grip, but her determination burned stronger than ever.
Furina clenched her fists, watching from a distance. "Yoshika…!"
Despite the pain, Yoshika grinned. "Damn… you really don’t hold back, huh?"
Capitano stepped forward, towering over her. "Yield. You’ve proven your strength, but this battle is over."
But Yoshika wiped the blood from her lip, lifting her spear once more. "You think I’d give up that easily?"
Her flames roared to life again, brighter and hotter than before.
Capitano narrowed his gaze. He respected her resolve. But now, he would have to end this.
Their fight—was far from over.
