(y/n)'s POV
"Wait up!" Anakin and I were walking up the ramp of the ship when we heard a familiar voice from behind us. I turned to see Ahsoka running to us with a bag over her shoulder, "You guys were really gonna leave without me." She pouted as she walked past us to get into the ship.
I told Anakin to tell her about the mission but I'm pretty sure he forgot and she had to find out from someone else. "I'm sorry Ahsoka I completely forgot, I was.. busy." A smug smirk appeared on his face and he glanced to me. I let out a little giggle and she rolled her eyes knowing what he was referring to.
"Animals." She mumbled as she took a seat. I felt bad for her. He wasn't spending much time with her as he should be. If I had a padawan I'd try to be with them as much as I could, hm the idea of me having a padawan. I kind of like the idea. Maybe I'll mention it to master Yoda when I get back.
You'd make a great teacher. I heard Anakins voice in my mind.
Get out of my head Anakin. I glared at him, we had agreed not to read each other's thoughts unless it was absolutely necessary. Our minds are supposed to be our safe space and I didn't like the idea of him poking around in there. But thank you.
Im sorry love and you're welcome. He winked at me and I took a seat near Ahsoka while he went to pilot the ship. We took a separate one from the King and Prince so we didn't have to rely on anyone to bring us back. "Next stop Alderaan."
I sighed a little at the name. I haven't been there since I massacred that city. Being there was going to bring back a lot of terrible memories for me. I just had to make sure I didn't let them get to me, I was a changed person now, I could never do anything like that again.
"You okay?" Ahsoka asked me. I assume she could sense my anxiousness.
I nodded, "Yeah I just haven't been there in a long time. Not the greatest of memories."I leaned my head back against the cold metal of the ship and I turned my head to look out the window at the stars.
"I know, Anakin told me." She confessed and I felt her hand on my shoulder, I didn't look up at her. My gaze stayed fixated on the stars, Anakin went into hyperdrive so my view was changed to the blue vortex of hyperspace.
"Well thank you for not treating me any differently." I let out a sad sigh and moved my gaze to finally meet hers.
"What are sisters for?" She smiled and I returned it happily. I loved this girl, she was sweet, kind, funny, and strong. She was everything you needed in a sister.
"So you know what the mission is right Ahsoka?" Anakin interrupted our girl time and plopped himself next to us on the floor.
"Actually no, I just heard you both were leaving today on a mission to Alderaan, that's all the details I got." She shrugged and shot him an annoyed look, most likely still upset he failed to mention it to her.
"Well we're security detail for some prince," He grimaced at the mention of his new found enemy, "He's been receiving death threats and they think the people are gonna strike on his birthday tomorrow. Our job is to catch them before they get him. Simple."
"I'm guessing you don't like him very much?" Ahsoka suspected due to his look of disgust when he mentioned him.
My husband shook his head, "He's annoying."
"He may have flirted with me." I added with an eye roll.
"May have?" He argued with annoyance, "He kissed your hand, he's lucky I didn't chop something off."
Ahsokas face turned into one of realization and then she rolled her eyes, "Its just a hand skyguy it's not like he kissed her on the lips or anything, calm down."
"Shush, the grown ups are talking." Anakin raised his hand to her and she looked like she was about to bite it from the utter disbelief on her face.
"I'm grown!" She shouted as she stood up and took out her lightsabers, "Duel me then skyguy, I'll show you how grown I am."
He smirked and stood up pulling his out as well, "Try not to bore me." He fake yawned to taunt her and she just grew more irritated as they began to playfully duel.
Children, they are both children.
After some time we finally arrived on Alderaan, it was a beautiful beige colored castle that we landed next to and we were immediately greeted by the King, Queen, Prince, Princess, and a few guards.
"Thank you so much for coming." The Queen spoke graciously towards us with a bright smile.
"Of course." I bowed to her respectfully.
"There's three of you, I thought there was only supposed to be two?" The Prince questioned as his eyes shifted between us. I thought that was a little odd to ask, why should it matter how many of us there are?"
"This is my padawan Ahsoka, where I go, she goes." Anakin responded a little sternly.
"Anyone here to help is welcome." The King smiled at us with enthusiasm. His composure was a lot better than when I saw him earlier. He seemed more relaxed jow that we were here.
My eyes drifted to the princess who seemed to be staring at Anakin, a little too seductively if you ask me. Her eyes trailed up and down his body and I felt myself grow annoyed by her. If she tries anything, I'll cut her. I started to really understand what Anakin was feeling.
Now who's being protective?
Shut up.
A smirk appeared on his lips and the family walked us inside and showed us to the rooms we would be staying in for the night. They were all next to each other Ahsoka had the room on the right, I was in the middle, and Anakins was on the left. The King and Queen pointed out their rooms for us which was further down the hall. They excused themselves for the night and told us to make ourselves at home.
The Princes room was right across from mine and the Princess's room was across from Anakins. She made that very clear for us..
"This is mine." She placed her hand on her door and eyed him trying her best to look cute when she placed her hair behind her ear. I did my best to compose myself and not give in to the urges to kick her out a window.
Her brother rolled his eyes at his sister forwardness before turning to me, "Once you get settled would you like to see the garden?" He smiled flirtatiously and I could feel Anakin tense next to me. We were both in such a hard place right now, being flirted with in front of each, but can't tell them that we are married.
"We would love to!" Ahsoka popped up next to me and rested her arm on my shoulder. I sighed with relief, I'm so happy she's here.
"Uh yeah you can come too." He mumbled with slight annoyance in his voice even though he tried to hide it.
Anakins POV
I mentally hugged Ahsoka for stepping in like that, I didn't want to have to secretly follow them and make sure this dude kept his hands to himself. That sounds insane.. but I'd still do it.
(y/n)'s POV
"Would you like to do something while they do that?" The Princess spoke to Anakin and I could feel that he was becoming irritated with her but he still held his beautiful smile on his face, she would never know.
"No thanks Princess, I'd rather stay in. Big day tomorrow." He took one last glance in my direction before opening his door and going inside. The Princess sighed in disappointment and excused herself as she closed herself in her room. I tried to hold in my laughter at her, sorry girl, he's mine.
"Well then shall we ladies?" The prince gestured for us to follow him down the hallway.
We finally stepped out of a glass door to reveal a beautiful garden, I absolutely loved it. The sun was no longer shining but they had lights all around the trees and even some inside of the ground. "It's so beautiful." I praised as I let my fingers run softly on one of the flowers leaves.
"I know something more beautiful." He went to place a hand on mine and my eyes widened.
"Stop I'm blushing." Ahsoka interrupted, pushing herself in between us and picked one of the flowers.
Adam looked absolutely irritated but Ahsoka smiled like she had no care in the world as she continued to divert all his attempts to get close to me. Anakin would be so proud.
Anakins POV
I laid on the bed in the room they gave me and I closed my eyes. I felt tired but I couldn't sleep, it just wasn't the same without having the warmth of my wife next to me. I sighed sitting up, when was she gonna come back?
Suddenly there was a knock at my door and my heart jumped hoping it was her. I rushed to open it and became disappointed quickly when I saw it was the Princess. "Is everything okay?" I asked her with a confused expression.
"No." she responded and pushed herself into the room, closing the door behind her.
I stood back away from her and kept my arms folded across my chest, "Okay what's wrong then?"
"I'm afraid for my brother," She sighed but I saw her eyes lust over me. This girl must be kept here under lock and key if she's gonna try jumping on the first guy to walk into this place.
"He'll be alright," I assured her even though I knew that wasn't the reason she was in here,"You should go back to your room." I tried walking around her to get the door but she grabbed ahold of my arm.
"No I don't want to go to my room."
"Well you can't stay here so you have to go somewhere." I tried to stay as calm as possible but her advances were starting to frustrate me.
"I can't stay here?" She looked up to me with a pouted face, like she actually expected that to work on me. I just narrowed my eyes at her but I kept a small smile on my face to not seem rude. She was a princess after all and the last thing I needed was her running to her father.
"I'm sorry but you can't." I reached for the handle and I felt her grab ahold of my shoulders and she pressed her lips to mine.
"Anaki-" the door opened and I pushed the girl off of me and turned to see my wife standing in the doorway with an expression I couldn't read. My eyes were wide as I looked to her and the Princess was standing up, oops I must have pushed her too hard and she hit the floor. But I didn't care about her, I cared about the woman standing in front of me. "I'm sorry I didn't realize you had company." Her voice was stern as she glanced at the Princess then back to me.
"No no it's not-" I started to defend myself as I took a few steps towards her but she lifted her hand up to stop me.
"Please, don't stop on my account." She sneered and slammed the door shut.
"I'm sorry I didn't realize-"
"Just go please." I cut the Princess off without looking at her, I heard her leave and I slammed my fist against the wall. I needed to calm down, this can be fixed. She kissed me, I didn't kiss her and as my wife I'm hoping she believes and trusts me. I just needed to talk to her.
I came out of my room and went up to her door, I knocked. There was no answer. I felt the handle and it was locked so I knocked again, "Please open the door." I begged. I heard a crash come from inside so I used the force to unlock the door and opened it. The room was trashed, it looked like a tornado hit it. And there she was sitting in the middle of all the chaos, legs-crossed in a meditation. "Baby please believe that she kissed me. I didn't kiss her back."
She didn't respond.
"I would never do anything to betray your trust, you have to know this. I love you and only you." I pleaded.
"Get out Anakin." She said rather harshly and I felt my heart break. We've never had a fight like this and I was worried she would leave me.
"But-"
"Please." Her voice cracked and I could feel her emotions all over the place so I decided to do as she wished. Even though it causes me so much pain to walk away from her right now.
(y/n)'s POV
I heard him leave and close the door behind him. I opened my eyes and all the tears I was holding in fell down my face.
I believed him. I truly did. But that didn't make the image of him kissing another woman any less hurtful. I'd get over it and we'd be okay. But right now, I needed to calm down. The sight caused pure rage to coarse through me and I almost snapped her neck on the spot. I had to cool down and breathe. We had a mission to do. That's what I needed to focus on right now. Not the feeling of the dark side trying to rear it's ugly head around the corners of my mind. I was stronger than this, I was better than this..
You should have killed her
No, no I shouldn't have, she's just a stupid girl.
She has no respect for you.
She didn't know, it's not her fault.
Just think of his lips on hers, I bet he liked it too.
STOP!! A lamp across the room flew from one end and smashed against the wall causing me to flinch.
But it stopped, the voice stopped.
(a/n I originally wasn't going to write anymore tonight but I suffer from anxiety and writing really soothes me when I have an episode. Anyways so i wanted to create a little drama and I'm gonna be honest I had no idea this is where I was going with this little subplot but I'm liking it. Also that's how I picture the dark side. I think of it like the devil on your shoulder always whispering into your ear to pull you to their side and of course the little angel trying to keep you in the light. Hope you liked this chapter! โฅ๏ธ)
