The 9-9 finally arrived back in Brooklyn. All their families were excited to see them again,all except for (F•N).

"We have to call your parents? Do they live far away from you?" Byleth said walking down the street.

"Yeah! I traveled by train when I first arrived here. I'll refer to you as my colleague at the station." (F•N) said walking upstairs to her apartment complex.

"So how big is your apartment?" Byleth asked.

"It used to be owned by uncle Todd before he retired from the police force. It's a pretty spacious apartment. I'll make a small guest room for you." (F•N) said opening the doors to the complex.

They walked by a empty desk,where the old woman was. Next they traveled three staircases and into (F•N)'s apartment. 

"Your uncle...left you this?" Byleth said walking around.

"I haven't talked to him in while. Let's unpack first and I'll then fill out the paperwork for the witnesses program." (F•N) said.

The apartment hasn't been touched in months,so the girls had to clean through layers upon layers of dust,bug's and other materials. After it was done,(F•N) made a small room for Byleth to stay in.

"Okay,listen up. I'll head down to the police station and talk with Captain Holt and Terry as well so we can discuss what we have to do with you. Other than that I think you'll be okay." (F•N) said.

"What about your parents?" Byleth asked.

"I almost forgot!" (F•N) said grabbing her phone. "Remember,you are my colleague from work." She said facetiming them.

"(F•N)?! Oh my gosh,your back! Troy! (F•N) is on the phone!" Her mother called out to her father.

"Thank godess your okay! I've been thinking about you for a while– Whose the girl?" (F•N)'s father asked.

"This is Brittany! She's a colleague of mine at the 9-9. I just invited her over." (F•N) said quickly.

"Brittany?!" Byleth said confused.

"What other name do you want?" (F•N) retorted back.

"So,what place did you come back this time? Last time we talked you were in Russia!" Her mother said.

"I hope you had on coat on!" Her father said.

"Well,I just got from Korea. We did a small investigation about...ahhh-"

"I heard someone big died over there. Is that what y'all were investigating?" Her mother asked.

"Yup..." (F•N) said nervously.

"You gotta be careful nowadays. You sound tired (F•N),I'm gonna let you and goodbye to your work friend as well~!" Her mother said hanging up the phone.

"Bye mom!" (F•N) said waving at her phone.

"Jae's death traveled that quickly?" Byleth said nervously.

"If you throw him off a few story building...then yeah?" (F•N) said laughing.

"You just live in your own bubble,don't you?" Byleth said.

"Yup! Now I am off to give you a new identity! Your name is Brittany and your my family member visiting from afar!" (F•N) said leaving the room.

(F•N) started head toward the police station,she walked in and was greeted by Benjamin again.

"Ahhh! Your back! I heard everything! From Brazil to Russia and y'all just got back from Korea!" Benjamin said.

"It's been so long! Has anything been happening while I was gone?" (F•N) asked him.

"You didn't hear this from me..but you might get promoted to Sargent..." Benjamin whispered to her.

"Sargent? That's crazy! I'll be back to talk more!" (F•N) said walking toward the elevator doors.

She entered the elevator and headed towards the 9-9 precinct. Once there,the doors opened again and the precinct air hit her face again. "It's so good to smell you again." She said stepping through the doors.

She saw Captain Holt and Terry talking in Holt's office,(F•N) walked towards his office and knocked. "Hey! Captain and Sarge!" She said.

"Good,you made it. We have to talk moving forward in our operation." Terry said.

"We've decided it's best to place Byleth in the witness protection program until further notice. Her mother had a small quirk to track her but we don't know where that tracker could be." Captain Holt said.

"Sheena is crazy rich! For all we know she probably implanted a chip into Byleth!" (F•N) said.

"That...could also be true. People can do anything with money. Which onto our next topic,(F•N) since Byleth is staying with you what do you have to provide to her?" Holt asked her.

"I think we should establish a new identity with a new credit card as well because her mother can track her current one as well. Byleth told me that her might try and target us for exploitation." (F•N) explained.

"Oh damn." Terry said surprised.

"That's not all. Jae's death traveled very quickly. It's very likely that Sheena already got word of it and could be plotting our demise right now." (F•N) said.

"Double damn." Holt said "Then it's settled,you'll fill out the paperwork for Byleth and we'll try to brainstorm. You may leave." Captain Holt said to (F•N).

"You got it sir!" (F•N) said leaving the precinct.

(F•N) walked down the precinct stairs and grabbed some paperwork for the witnesses program and walking into a familiar face.

"Madeline Wuntch...Hey,girl~" (F•N) said nervously.

"I heard that you have returned from traveling the whole world! And you have a little visitor~"

(F•N) could feel her heart stop "I do?" She said quietly.

"There was a welfare check on some apartment complex near the police station and one person was occupying your room." Wuntch said.

"Who did the welfare check?" (F•N) asked.

"I did and cute cousin by the way." 

(F•N) turned to see the Vulture standing there. "Oh. It's you. And shes taken." (F•N) said.

"Couldn't fool me." Vulture said.

"It's been nice seeing you again–" (F•N) said walking away.

"What's the hurry for? It's not like your hiding a fugitive! Hahaha" Wuntch and Vulture laughed while (F•N) laughed uncomfortably.

"I won't hold you for long I'll let you go,detective." Wuntch said.

"Y-yeah! I'll see you again..." (F•N) said walking out the doors.

(F•N) hastily walked back to her apartment complex and into her room. Byleth looked confused at her.

"Did a disgruntled man with a leather jacket knock on the door?" (F•N) asked Byleth.

"Which one Adrian or the other guy because the other guy looked cute." Byleth said.

"Never mind that. I have the paperwork and then by tomorrow you are no longer Byleth or Blaire Renfroe. I will give you a phone and a new credit card. Don't do anything stupid and if something is wrong just tell me or anyone in the 9-9" (F•N) instructed.

"I'm really nervous about this." Byleth said.

"Don't worry. Your new life begins here."
