"(L/N)-sensei is here!" one of the students yelled, eyes glimmering as they looked at their favorite teacher entering the room.

"Hi class! It's nice to see you again." the said teacher greeted them as they stood up and bowed, greeting their teacher back.

They looked at her with interest, some boys and girls in the class already clutching their chocolates and flowers, ready to give to their teacher. She looked at them gleefully, as she always does.

"Let me tell you guys what..." she trailed off, wanting them to feel the suspense. "I'm going to spend half of the class teaching and after that, you can all go early today, okay?"

They all cheered loudly as she said that, but they're all curious as well.

"But, why would you do that (L/N)-sensei? Do you have a date?" they asked cheekily, looking at their teacher with  sly expressions.

Some of them cooed while some of them cheered, clearly wanting to know why.

She just laughed at them, covering her mouth with her hand. "No, no. In fact it's for the students in here who have boyfriends or girlfriends~"

She looked at the said students whose face flushed red, the other ones cooing at them.

"So Sensei, you don't have a date?" one boy asked.

"Of course Sensei has a date! Look how pretty she is! Tell me how you'd think she's not gonna have a date today." a girl snapped, looking at her classmate.

Their teacher just giggled at them before facing the board and writing the stuff they're supposed to learn that day. She thought about how happy they must be, and how she should just start with the lessons.

"Sensei? Whose Chifuyu?" one of them asked.

The teacher paused for a bit and turned to look at what she had written. There was the name 'Chifuyu' indeed.

She quickly erased it and chuckled nervously, writing back on the board like nothing ever happened.

"Ooh~ Sensei is thinking about her date~" they cooed.

"Jeez class, quiet down. I don't have a date today." she spoke. "And besides, we only have twenty minutes left until you guys can go home."

"Tell us about your love life Sensei!" one girl yelled, raising her hand.

"Yeah! Tell us please! We'd stay here longer!"

Most of them wanted her to tell them her so-called 'love story', cooing and jeering everywhere.

"It's not a love story guys! He's just my best friend! That's all!" she defended.

The girls giggled while the boys jeered again louder this time. Even the quiet ones looked interested.

"Ooh~ (L/N)-sensei's best friend is a boy!"

"Mika-chan and Ryu-kun also started as best friends!" one of them yelled, looking at the said couple.

They all cooed loudly, their teacher motioning for them to keep the noise down. They obliged with a smile, some with flushed cheeks.

"So are you gonna tell us now, Sensei?"

"Hmm?"

The teacher looked at them with a small smile, face heating up. She thought about telling them something personal like her past love life, and how it went.

"Okay class. Sure. But, no ones gonna make any unnecessary noise until I finish telling you guys, okay?" she asked.

They all nodded, smiles on each of their faces. Most of them put their pens neatly on their desks and some began closing their notebooks.

"Okay, what I'm gonna tell you all is gonna be cheesy but just bear with me." she stated.

They all had confused faces as they continued to listen.

"It was also around this time, probably a few weeks before February 14th..."

A blonde boy stood in front of a classroom, leaning against the wall.

He looked inside and mentally sighed, seeing as the class is over. He then waited for someone, looking at her as he stood there. He then waved to catch her attention and he did so without failure.

"Oh? Nice to see you Chifuyu. How long have you been waiting in there?" (Y/N) asked, calming herself down. "Looks like you have a new bruise. Looks nice on you."

The male just frowned at her statement before grinning and holding her hand.

"Come on I want to show you something."

He dragged her all the way outside, carrying her bag with one hand while holding her hand with the other.

"Oi! Stop pulling me will you?!"  the girl reprimanded, cheeks heating up.

He just chuckled before letting go of her hand. They stopped by a random bench, him still grinning. He then rummaged inside his bag and pulled out seven boxes of chocolates.

"Look I got so many! And here I thought I don't have any luck with the ladies, heh.." he chuckled while placing the items between them.

It isn't even Valentine's Day yet.

The girl's cheeks flushed as she saw the familiar wrapping on one of the boxes, nervous.

"That's great! I mean, I received some too." she muttered, opening her bag a bit to show him. "Some from boys while one from a girl."

Chifuyu laughed at her statement before opening one of the boxes and as fate played it, it's the chocolate she secretly put on his desk.

"Woah! This one looks like the best one, so far! But... Huh?" he muttered, looking at the piece of paper attached to it.

"Come on, read it out loud." the female urged.

"Oh.. Okay. It says here that... Roses are red, violets are blue, I love looking at your eyes, and I think they're prettier than the skies..."

His face reddened with every word, gaze glued to the paper.

"That... That's sweet..." he stuttered, folding the paper and putting it inside his pocket.

"Uh huh?" the female asked, looking at his reaction.

He looked so flustered and his face got red, never actually expecting such letter.

"Want some?" he offered.

A few days passed by after that, and (Y/N) began giving him some little slips of paper claiming that someone from her class wanted her to give it to him.

He was skeptical at first but when he saw that the handwritings are different each time, he waved the fact that his best friend gave them. She even joked about her actually confessing to him but she just laughed it off after telling him that, and so did he.

They had a good laugh over it.

"Oh? There's another one (Y/N)-chan?" he mumbled, looking up from his papers.

"Yeah. They're literally fangirling over you." she scoffed, rolling her eyes.

Her other classmates had agreed to her idea, thinking that they would probably have a chance with him since she was his best friend after all.

"Oi, read it out loud." she mumbled.

"Yes, yes... Okay it says here that.... Roses are red, violets are blue, you're my favorite person, and I like you more than yesterday too."

He chuckled after reading it, and so did she.

"It must be nice to have someone sending you love letters like these, eh?" the female asked.

"Yeah it sure is. It kinda makes my day somehow." he answered.

"Hey here's another one."

"Oh.. Okay." he cleared his throat for a bit, smiling as he unfolded the paper. "Roses are red, violets are blue, I don't think I can ever confess but, I love you, Matsuno Chifuyu."

"Heh, how'd you like that one?" she asked.

"..."

His face turned bright red at the indirect confession, too flustered to say anything.

"Here's the last one by the way."  the female spoke, handing him another small piece of paper.

"...This is too muchhhh!" he whined. He gulped and then held the paper, unfolding it.

"I think you might want to meet me, if so, be at the rooftop tomorrow, February 14. I can't promise you I'll be there but if I am, I hope you understand." he looked confused at the contents of the letter, but his mind raced at the thought of seeing his secret admirer.

"Well, see you, Chifuyu."

"And, And?!" the students asked, suspense building up their systems.

"Shh! Let Sensei continue!"

"Woah, I didn't think Sensei would do that..."

The whole classroom was filled with whispers, amazed at their teacher.

"Hmm! Maybe that's the start of tonight's date, eh? Sensei?" one of the girl's asked.

The teacher just chuckled at them, thinking of what happened next.

"I think you guys didn't expect me to fall in love with my best friend, right?" she asked.

"I did Sensei!" Miya yelled. "But I wonder how it ended though..."

"Well, class, let me tell you, there are two possibilities when you fall for your best friend." she started, "One is they love you back the same, if not even more, and the other is..."

"Sensei?"

"The other causes the friendship to fall apart." she added, "Love doesn't always end in a happy ending."

"What do you mean, Sensei?" a girl asked.

"Well, when the 14th came, I went with him to the rooftop of the school. There was no one there with us, only him and I." she spoke, sighing.

"I don't think it ends happily..." one of them mumbled.

"And then, I confessed to him. I was so stupid and awkward doing it back then." she giggled.

The class stared at her, one raising his hand.

"How did you confess, Sensei?" Kari asked.

"Oh, that's a good question. Do you guys want me to tell you what I said to him?"

They all nodded.

"Well, I was like... 'I love you and I've been the one confessing this whole time. The others only wrote it for me.' I think I said that."

They all cooed at her, although some still curious.

"And then, he told me... He told me he knew all along. That he'd gone to our classroom once and that one of the girls who had a crush on him told him my feelings for him." she confessed.

"Well, I'm sure he accepted your feelings, right Sensei?" Mika asked.

"Yeah, he did."

The class cheered at her statement, the others cooing and jeering again.

"Shh class! Keep it down..." she reminded.

"Sorry Sensei!"

"See?! Sensei had a happily ever after with her Chifuyu~"

"Something's wrong with Sensei's smile."

They turned to look at their classmate who said that, brows knitted together. Then, they looked at their teacher sitting in her desk in front of them, one arm propped up and a hand on her cheek.

"He accepted my feelings but he didn't return it." she smiled.

No noise could be heard after that, all of them confused.

"And the thing is, he gave me his last statement as friends." she spoke, "He said, 'Not all roses are red, violets will never be blue, yes I do love someone, but (Y/N) I'm sorry, it's not you.'"

"He looked hesitant to say it too." their teacher added. "And I asked him if we're still friends, and he said yes."

"But Sensei, I thought you said that he said his last statement as friends?"

"Yeah, he did. Cause after that, I moved to another country and I haven't seen him since."

"Sensei, how could you smile while telling that to us?" one of the boys asked.

"Well, I thought you guys wanted to hear my story?" she joked.

The mood in the classroom turned gloomy, none of the students making eye contact.

"And to be honest, love doesn't always end up with a happily ever after. Especially if it's one-sided."

"You don't look like you've moved on from him yet though, Sensei."

Their teacher had a bittersweet smile on her face.

"Who said anything about moving on?"
