At the castle

Everyone is celebrating getting ready for Rapunzel's 19th birthday.

Everyone except the birthday girl herself.

Rapunzel stares out of the window of her window, gazing out when Eugene knocks.

"Princess? Happy birthday! How ya doing?"

Rapunzel turns around, "How am I doing? Let's see, um I found out my dad has been lying to me for months, a secret squad of guards hunted us down, destroyed my childhood home. Oh, and most recently! I committed treason while helping three extremely unstable kids steal the most powerful object in the seven Kingdoms, which they already had! And let's not forget that one's an Alchemist and the other two are extremely clever thieves! AND ONE IS MY SISTER!"

She calms down, "But enough about me. Let's talk about you." She sighs, "Sorry."

"No, no, it's okay. But hey, I know what will cheer you up."

Eugene pulls her to the hall, "Present room!" He laughs.

Rapunzel's face lights up, "Goodness! These are all for me?"

"The people love you! Oh, I am so good at this." Eugene shakes a wrapped up box, "Look, look! It's a set of paintbrushes. -- Someone got a new necklace. - And this is -...clearly something that probably shouldn't have been shaken. Oh, that one next? Come on, socks? She doesn't even wear shoes, people!"

Rapunzel walks up to a sign that says wind me. "Wind Me?" She looks and the music box and winds it up. "Kinda creepy..."

She turns around a freidborg is stood with a dress.

"Oh, hi! Oh! Freidborg! You startled me. Wait, is it time for my fitting? Where's Cassandra?"

"I haven't seen her all day. See? Things aren't so bad after all." Eugene laughs.

Rapunzel's face turns serious, "No. Come on. We should find her." She runs out.

Eugene chases her, "Friedborg, keep up the..." he clears his throat, "Yeah, keep it up."

They run out to see Cass stacking crates.

"Cass? What are you doing?"

Cass grunts in an effort, "Haven't you heard? This is my new assignment."

"What are you talking about?"

"Seems like your dad found out I was the one who snuck you out of Corona before your coronation. And, well..." she groans, "Here we are..."

"That's impossible! How would he even know? The only possible way he could have found out is if-He read my journal... (__) was right." Rapunzel sighs, "Okay. Don't worry, Cass. I am going to get you out of this."

Eugene snickers, "Hey, but in the meantime at least you have stable employment." He bursts out laughing, "Okay, not great timing, but different room, different circumstances, that would've killed!"

Cass sighs, "Don't waste your time, Raps. This is just temporary. I'm being sent to a convent tomorrow."

"My dad has gone too far. You shouldn't be punished for something I-"

A massive crash occurs and Rapunzel yelps.

"Friend of yours?" Eugene asks when an automaton comes into view.

"An automaton? The kids and I fought one like-them..."

In Old Corona

You three are in the lab.

"So, are you gonna tell us why we made those automatons?" You ask.

"Why?" Varian replies.

"Well, I dont know, maybe at the fact Sophie and I spent four days trying to persuade you to let us out of those shackles and help you? At least you could say what your gonna do with them."

Varian chuckles, "Oh, don't worry Milady, you'll find out soon."

You and Sophie glance at each other in concern.

Back at the castle

"Our first priority is getting to bottom of who was responsible for this attack."

Rapunzel bursts into the throne room, "There's no question who's behind it. The question is what were the kids after?"

King Frederic stands up furious, "Those kids are dangerous. And I was a fool to think (__) and Sophie had changed. I assure you, they will pay dearly."

"Listen, Dad, they are up to something, and we need to get to the bottom-"

Frederic interrupts her, "We needn't do anything. The situation is being handled, Rapunzel."

Rapunzel walks up closer to her dad, "You can see how I might have a little trouble taking you at your word Your Majesty."

"Rapunzel. I know these past days have been strained, to say the least, but more important than any of our disagreements, more important than anything at all, is your safety. So in light of this vicious assault, it is with a heavy heart that I make this decision. Until the threat of those kids has been neutralized, you are to remain under constant surveillance in the most secure room in the castle."

In old Corona

"Varian, you know we are on your side, just tell us your plan and we will help you!" You plead.

"Fine," he thinks for a moment then smirks, "I just need Rapunzel to come here so she can use her hair against this amber."

"That's it?" You raise a brow, "Then why didn't you say?"

"Because I didn't want to worry you. But I assure you everything is handled." He kisses your forehead.

You smile lightly, "Well, if it's just to get Rapunzel up here, then I'm with you, what do you need doing?"

Sophie smiles too, "Same here."

Varian smiles and hugs you both.

He let's go, "We're gonna need to play a game of hide and seek... Ruddiger come here buddy!"

Ruddiger hesitantly comes out from under the table.

"Don't worry buddy. This won't hurt." Varian pours some blue chemicals onto his fur.

Your eyes widen when Ruddiger starts growing in size and looks extremely menacing. To the point, he didn't even look like a raccoon.

"Varian! What have you done?!" You shout.

"Oh nothing, I just made him bigger for the diversion of my plan."

Ruddiger stomps over to you purring, you hesitantly reach over to him. "Oh, poor Ruddiger..."

Varian rolls his eyes, "He's fine (__), duh. Now, how about a game of hide and seek with everyone!" Varian smirks.

Sophie pulls your arm for you to follow her for a second.

Varian goes back to work.

"Shouldn't that potion wore off by now?" Sophie asks Quietly.

"Yeah... how much did he consume?"

"Well, he gulped a lot that purple stuff."

Your eyes widen, "Wait he didn't have it with lemonade?"

Sophie shakes her head.

"Uh oh... it could take ages to wear off! We're just gonna have to play along with his plan until it gets out of hand, and if it doesn't wear off before he does something stupid... I'll step in."

Sophie nods determinedly and you both walk back over to Varian.

"So when are we going?" You ask.

"Now. Let's go get Sebastian, he'll be our quickest transport."

"Okay, let's go..."

You three just got into town.

Varian uses a machine to make a massive alchemy cloud run over the castle.

You find a good spot on the castle roof to use a megaphone and Sophie is making sure the alchemy could machine keeps working, while Varian sneaks into the castle for something.

"Hello Corona..." you say.

Rapunzel looks around, "Its (__)."

Cass looks around, "Where is her voice coming from?"

"Something dark is coming for you. Our king has refused to acknowledge it. In Hope's of keeping his secret, he has lied to you and vilified us." You warn.

Frederic looks around angrily, "Captain! Get more men!"

"On with it sir! Three details from the west hall are on their way."

"In the matter of days, Corona, this island and the castle itself, will be overcome by this growth. It has already overtaken the outskirts of the Kingdom."

You sigh then continue, "The key to stopping its destruction is my sis, Princess Rapunzel herself."

You think back to all of the times where you've helped the kingdom and now you needed help they ignored you.

"We have asked for help from ALL of you and We've been ignored. We WON'T be ignored any longer! And to make sure we have your attention, Varian developed a new serum and created something special for you all."

You quickly climb down from the roof and sneak into the castle where Varian told you and Sophie to meet him.

You walk into the castle to see him dragging the knocked out Ariana.

"Varian! What did you do?!" You shout and Sophie stands there with her eyes widened.

"Don't worry, this is just to get Rapunzel to my lab. Now C'mon quickly before they realise she's gone."

You help pick up Ariana and put her on Sebastian to quickly travel back to old Corona, Ruddiger comes running and jumps onto Sebastian.

"Princess Rapunzel, King Frederic, it's the Queen, she's gone."

Rapunzel eyes narrow, "Varian, (__) and Sophie."

"They must be hiding in Old Corona! I shall launch a full-scale attack!"

"Sir, we got hit pretty hard. Everyone is gonna be okay, but we won't be launching a full-scale anything for some time." Stan says.

Frederic growls, "Then we will hit them with whatever we have!"

"Dad! You can't beat those kids with swords and fists. So far, we've played right into their hands. You know they never meant to capture me! They- they sent that automaton to make you think that was their plan. And then they used his monster to pull security away from his real target. Mom. So, whatever you think you're gonna throw at then, they'll be waiting."

Frederic sighs looking up to your room in the castle, "We will attack within the hour."

You wake Ariana and she grunts.

You sigh and keel down to check her shackles are on right. "Don't worry Queen Ariana. You are merely bait to lure Rapunzel here. Only the magic of her unbreakable hair can shatter the amber and free his father. I tried to do it my self but I can't... I'm so sorry it had to end this way..."

You stand up and go over to Varian and Sophie.

"And we've tried asking for help in a civil manner but was denied by everyone in Corona. So, unfortunately, this is our only remaining recourse."

Ariana gasps, "Oh! And after you've freed your father?"

Varian chuckles evilly, "After? Oh, well, I'm afraid Corona will pay for turning their backs on us. And that's when you should start worrying, Your Majesty."

You jump in front of Varian, "What?! You said we were just going to free your father and then everything can go back to normal!?"

Queen Ariana gulps nervously.

Varian glares at you, "Of course I wouldn't have told you about getting revenge on Corona." He holds your chin with his fingers, "Otherwise I wouldn't have got Milady to help me would I?"

"Plus we've got so far, time to make sure we will never be ignored again..."
