Rapunzel yells as her back slams onto the floor hard, "STOP! Please!" She pleads, her eyes widened when a sword comes inches away from her throat.

The sword glints in the lightning of the room.

"Awh, begging already? I was just getting started!"

Rapunzel gulps, "(__), Please... You're not thinking clearly! You're making a mistake!"

You slowly grin and chuckle evilly, "Oh no, you're the one who made a mistake, PRINCESS!"

"(__), Think about Sophie and Varian!" Rapunzel pleads for her life as you get closer to her.

You Laugh evilly, "Those two?" You sneer, "Why would I when it's my time to shine? This is ALL your FAULT!" You swing the sword barely missing her.

"NO! (__) DON'T!!!!"

Another sword stops yours and you're knocked to the ground, by Fredric. "GUARDS! TAKE HER AWAY!"

Guards roughly grab your arms, you struggle but then laugh sarcastically, "Awh, is that all you can dOo!"

Rapunzel looks at you sadly before turning to her dad, "Dad, dont! (__) is your daughter like me!"

Fredric glares at Raps, "Take my daughter away and her friends too!"

You glare harshly at Rapunzel, "Now, now, this is all very familiar, isn't it? Having your friends in need dragged away! Some Queen you'll be PRINCESS RAPUNZEL!!!"

Your voice fades down the hall.

24 hours earlier

You and Sophie pick up some fresh food from the markets since the crops had been destroyed in Old Corona, you both wanted to get as much food in as possible.

Sophie picks up a freshly baked bread and places it in the baskets you're holding. "Do you think this will be enough for now?"

You hum, "I think so... could you get my money out of my satchel? My hands are slightly occupied." You giggle.

Sophie nods and grabs enough money to pay.

Leo has fallen asleep on your shoulder and Ash was next to Sophie hoping to get some of the food Sophie was holding.

It was the afternoon, Fredric had asked you to come to the banquet to welcome Griffon of Pitsford. You accepted since you could still get into old Corona and back before the banquet starts.

And for Sophie? Well, she decided it would be best for her to stay at Old Corona since Griffin was... a bit insecure about his height. And Sophie is a very blunt person, she will tell you anything straight to your face, probably her biggest flaw.

"Oh, confetti cannons are a great idea! My fans are gonna love it!" You hear from behind you, of course, Eugene.

You turn to see Eugene holding a confetti Cannon to Cass, "Tell her Blondie!"

Rapunzel crosses her arms, "Yeah, I'm not gonna do that."

"Put it down Eugene! There is no way you're bringing that thing back to the castle." Cass says annoyed.

"Oh, so now you're taking her side, huh?" He gestures to Rapunzel.

"I'm not taking anyone's side, Eugene." Rapunzel sighs.

"Maybe you should for once!" Cass glares at Rapunzel.

Rapunzel huffs, "Okay, then sign me up for the side that says this is all ridiculous!"

You and Sophie glance at each other then groan. It Was the third time this week they had been bickering with each other and it's only Wednesday. You were lucky you and Sophie could escape when it got serious.

"(__)! Sophie!"

"Ugh, great..." Sophie mumbles.

"Yes?" you both walk over, Leo wakes up.

"Hey, Leo? Could you get Sebby? With these three I don't know how long we're gonna be." You whisper, Leo nods and flies off.

"Tell Eugene that a confetti cannon isn't necessary! He already has a fog machine." Cass crosses her arms.

"Well, a confetti cannon and a fog machine would be hella awesome-"

"Thank you! See, lil sisters are the best!" Eugene grins.

"IF It wasn't the Griffin's welcoming Banquet." You finish your sentence.

"Thank you." Cass smiles.

Eugene's face drops, "What!? Whose side are YOU on!?"

"Mine." You grin.

"Though a fog machine sounds awesome!" Sophie adds.

Cass' face falls now, "What?! No!"

"Ha!" Eugene points at Cass and high fives, Sophie.

Rapunzel Smiles warmly at you and Sophie. "Girls, why don't you help us with this?"

You both shake your heads, "Sorry, not today, we've got things to do, but I'll be back tomorrow for the banquet then go back to Old Corona." Sebastian and Leo run/ fly over to you both. You both start to head off.

"You know, you don't always have to check on Varian 24/7. Maybe take a little break?" Rapunzel asks hesitantly.

Cass and Eugene stare at Rapunzel then slowly look at you and Sophie not sure how you will react.

You both stop in your tracks and turn around.

"Well, SOMEONE has to check on him." Sophie glares at Rapunzel.

You quickly put your hand over Sophie's mouth before she says anything else, "Thanks for your consideration, but we're fine."
You both hop onto Sebastian on shoot off ready to see Varian.

"You know, you don't always have to be sweet to them," Sophies says.

"I know that, but making enemies isn't the answer to our problems either." You explain while Sebastian gallops as fast as he can.

In old Corona, you make it to Varians house just after nightfall. You both step inside and place the baskets onto the table. Leo hops off your shoulder and onto the table, Ash also runs in and leads you and Sophie to Varians room.

You follow and gently open the door. Varian was sat in the middle of the floor with a candlelight writing in one of his books. Books covered all around him and he sighs deeply not noticing you there.

You smile warmly at him, even though it's been a few days, it felt like an eternity. "Varian."

Varian looks up and his face lights up. "(__)!!!"

He jumps up and pulls you into a tight hug, he kisses you on the cheek. You giggle softly and hug him just as tight. "I missed you."

"I did too." He says not wanting to let you go.

Sophie smiles warmly at you both before going over to the place Varian was working and clears up slightly. "Any formulas working out?"

Varian sighs and leans into you tiredly, "No... Nothing is working... this stupid brain of mine won't work."

You pull away slightly, "Varian your brain isn't stupid. It's like we're missing something..." You lean your forehead against Varian's gently. "Varian, please don't give up yet."

Varian stares into your (E/C) eyes and smiles tenderly, "As long as I have you two, I'll never give up."

A small growl comes from Varians stomach.

You chuckle, "Hungry?"

Varian goes red in embarrassment and nods.

"Well then, let's go get something to eat." Sophie smiles.

The three of you walk down to the kitchen, you glance at Varian's lab and take a step towards it when a hand grabs yours, "Don't you even think about it." Varian whispers and leads you away.

You made sandwiches for you all, Varian ate half before he began yawing and dropping off to sleep. You help him up and lead him back to his room, Sophie follows.

Sophie takes your bunk while you and Varian snuggle into each other, You run your gloved hand through Varian's hair to help him sleep.

Once you see he's out, you smile at his peaceful face, the poor boy was sleep deprived and hadn't eaten, not because there was no food, but because he was too caught up in finding an answer to save his dad.

You place your satchel on the ground, suddenly the glass jar containing the sun drop rolls out. Your eyes widen as you couldn't move because Varian would wake.

You hear creaking and footsteps coming down the ladders. Sophie smiles at you and winks, picking up the jar and placing it back in your satchel.

You whisper a "Thank you" at her and snuggle back into Varian to fall asleep yourself.

The next morning

You're in the kitchen sorting out breakfast for you all. Leo had gone out to go get some fresh apples from the apple tree outside.

Varian comes down the stairs and stretches his arms, "I slept a little better last night." he walks over to you and wraps his arms around your waist, leaning his head on your shoulder.

"That's good." You turn around and smile tiredly at him, then you glance down.

Varian lifts your chin up with his finger making you stare at his big blue eyes, "Are you taking care of yourself too, (__)?"

You nod and smile slightly, you were exhausted honestly from the whole sugaracha incident. But You didn't want to tell him about it, after all he would think it was complete nonsense.

Varian chuckles slightly, "I know you're lying, but I won't push it." he sighs and hugs you tightly, "Will you be back?"

Sophie walks down the stairs yawning, "Of course she'll be back goggle-head. She just has to go to that banquet."

You smile, "How about some apples and peaches for breakfast? Then I'll make a hot meal when I get back."

Sophie and Varian nod.

Varian intertwined his fingers with yours, "Have a safe trip..."

You smile lightly packing your satchel. "I will."

Varian rubs his head in pain.

"Are you okay?" You ask.

"Just a headache..." Varian replies.

You kiss him on the forehead.

Varian grins, "Thanks. I should get back to writing..."

Sophie stands up, "I'll help you."

Varian and Sophie watch you ride away with Sebastian and Leo.

Ruddiger climbs up onto Varians shoulder and chitters happily.

Varian sighs, "What would I do without you two..."

"Become a lonely psycho?" Sophie replies.

Varian stares blankly at her.

"Joking. Now, what do we need to do?"

Your back in town you needed to stop at Xavier's to return his book you borrowed off him.

"Sorry Xavier, I should have handed this- MOTHER OF DUCKLINGS! Xavier!" You hop off Sebastian and run straight over to him. He was knocked out cold.

Pascal and Max stand there sheepishly.

"What did you two do?!" you ask while running into his bedroom and grabbing a pillow for his head.

When you return outside Pascal is holding a tiny three-leaved plant, still looking sheepish.

You take it and narrow your eyes, "Why do you have a three-leafed echo plant?"

Max takes something off Xavier's shelf and places it in your palms.

A bottle with a swirl design, you stare at the bottle then glare at them, "Please don't tell me you used a whole bottle of Moodtonic. Why did Xavier give this to you two in the first place!?"

They look at the castle and you groan, "You used it on Cass, Eugene and Raps didn't you."

You pull out a book of potions from Xavier's shelf while putting the other back.

"Why does everything happen while I'm knocked out or gone?" You mumble.

You throw the echo plant into a mortar and crush it with a pestle.

"Did Xavier tell you it's one drop and not a WHOLE bottle? It can take DAYS to wear off."

Leo tweets, "What Did you do?"

Pascal squeaks nervously, "We wanted to stop those three from fighting."

Max huffs, "But Pascal dumped the whole bottle into the lemonade which caused their personalities to reverse!"

Pascal pouts, "It was an accident I swear! They came in at the wrong time!"

Sebastian shakes his head, "There's never a dull moment in this kingdom is there..."

You finish the potion and place it in the bottle to cool.

Max and Pascal cheer.

"Where are they?" you ask.

Sebastian nods for you to hop on his saddle while Max would show you the way.

Max and Sebastian kick the door down to the banquet hall and they neigh happily while running in without looking.

"Sebby!" You panic and pull on his reins making him stop before he ran into the fog machine.

Unfortunately, you fall to the hard floor, "Ow..."

You realize the bottle isn't in your hands as the fog machine malfunctions and turns on.

Purple fog blew out and filled the room. Everyone coughed, you sit up and rub your arm from the rough fall.

"I feel normal again!" Rapunzel cheers happily.

Eugene takes her hand happily, "So do I!"

"No one cares how you feel," Cass smirks.

"And so does she!" Eugene grins.

"START THE BRAAAWWWLLLL!" Ariana bawls out and takes the cake in front of her, shoving it into her mouth.

Nigel laughs without stopping while Stan and Pete start roughhousing. Everyone acts differently.

"Oh, no! The vapour reversed everyone's personalities!" Rapunzel says in worry looking at her dad.

Fredric throws off his coat and pulls a sword out of Griffin. "Corona's offering in partnership was a mistake! It's time to show the true power she wields!"

The short man stands up too, pulling out his sword.

"so it's come to this... WARRRRR!" Fredric yells.

"Wait, the counter elixir reversed everyone's personalities?" Eugene questions as everyone goes crazy.

You see your sword laying on the ground, it must have slipped out when you fell.

A purple hue goes over you then disappears. You eye Rapunzel and wrap your fingers around your sword and stand up.

"RAPS, DUCK!" Cass yells.

Rapunzel nearly said where but screams and ducks, "WOAH!"

You smirk and swing for her again. In the corner of your eye, you see Cass come at you.

"Oopsie daisies!" You grin smugly and step aside tripping her up onto a table.

"(__)! Snap out of it!" Rapunzel doges your swings, she doesn't want to hurt you.

"And what fun would that be!?" You take another swing hardly missing her neck. She turns around dogging each swing.

You grab onto her hair, "RaPunzel RaPunzel! Let down your HAIR!" You pull on it swinging her a few feet away making her fall onto the ground hard.

You can hear the other three talking in their cell since it was just across from you.

Rapunzel glances over at you and sees you glaring with no emotion.

Eugene takes a key out and unlocks the door, Rapunzel runs over to your cell.

"(__)... Sis... please fight it. This isn't you."

You glare at her not saying a word.

She sighs, "We'll have to come back for her... I promise I will, okay?"

You get up and hold the bars, "Oh, I know just how well you keep your promises princess!" you smirk and shake the bar door, it scares them and they move back.

"Tickity tock! You wanna save your kingdom again while another subject of yours suffers!" You smirk and grab your satchel to get your pick.

Eugene quickly snatches your pick off you and tells Cass to get Rapunzel out of the dungeons.

You smirk, "Oh Flynn Rider, how nice of you to stay."

Eugene sighs and hands you a piece of paper, "I know you will fight it, kid. Just remember who you are doing this for..." Eugene walks away frowning, he didn't want to leave you, but he had no choice.

You scoff and turn over the piece of paper.

Varian and Sophie. The drawing you made while the guards were constantly following you.

You lean against the wall and take a deep breath, "Ugh, why did I come back to this banquet..." A purple hue goes over you again as you feel yourself coming back to normal.

"I- I almost killed Rapunzel... And I didn't even care about Soph and Varian..." you feel your blood run cold.

Leo hops over and snuggles into you. You curl into a ball on the floor.

"Ugh, I can't believe what the hell just happened... and I don't even know how long I'm going to be stuck in this cell for!"

You hear a chuckle, "Well little lady if you and your friends team up with me, not for long..."

You groan, "Shut up Hubert! You should have asked me that a few minutes ago if you wanted a yes."

He smirks, "Wasn't that a yes I just heard?"

"I swear now I wish I had that potion on me... then I would have had an excuse to attack you."

"Now, now, that's not a way to talk to your future leader."

You facepalm, "Why the hell does he keep saying that."

In old Corona

Sophie and Varian are sat on the floor writing in books when the door slams open.

You're stood there with an evil-ish grin on your face.

Varian looks up, "(__)!!! You're back! I thought you said you would be back tomorrow?"

"Well, yes but I found a... medicine that can help your headache." You hand over a small bottle of purple liquid.

"Oh, uh really? Does it work?" Varian asks.

Sophie stares at you slightly suspicious, mainly at the fact you would've at least hugged Varian by now... but you haven't.

"It worked for me!"

Varian takes a sip suddenly a hue of purple comes over then disappears.

"Any better?"

Varian smirks, "Yes... A lot better now."

"Good, I've got to get back to the castle they don't know I've gone."

Varian grabs your hand, "Can't you stay for a little longer?"

You shake your head then walk out without saying anything else.

Varian turns around and walks back over to Sophie, "Well, that was... strange."

Sophie hums in thought.

A green spirit is outside of Varian's house smirking devilishly, "Let the show begin..."

The next morning

You're laid on the floor still curled up after a long night of arguing with that psycho man.

You hear someone at the cell door, Rapunzel.

"Are you okay now?" Rapunzel asks while finding the right key to open the cell door.

You smile lightly while sitting up, "Yeah, I'm back to normal..."

Rapunzel smiles and comes over to sit next to you. "So, last night was quite the adventure Huh?"

You cling onto her, "I'm so sorry..."

"Hey, it's okay. You were under a potion and there want too much damage.
