The return of the Willow

Today is the day of the meteor shower.

Which also means the day you're going to tell Sophie about your little "plan" of getting whatever is in that dome before anyone else can.

"You're going to do WHAT?!"

You quickly put your hand over Sophie's mouth. "SHHH! Sophie, you need to keep quiet!"

"But- Wha- wh- why are you going to do something as dangerous as breaking into the secret Vault for a flower that might not be there!?"

"Because... those 'visions' are getting worse... I see them all the damn time, and I have a feeling that the flower is still down there. You don't have to join me, but I'm going, even if that means going alone."

Sophie stands up off her bed, "Look, if you're REALLY sure that this is the only way... I'll come with, The Strikers Stick together remember?"

"Right, thanks, Sophie... I knew I could count on you." You smile lightly before someone knocks on the door.

"Come in?" You shout but no one answers.

You go to check who's there... but there's no one.

Until two gloved hands go over your eyes. "Guess whoo-oo!"

You smirk, "Hmmm... who could that voice belong to?"

You slowly turn around to see two bright blue eyes beaming widely at you.

"I think it belongs to the best Alchemist and boyfriend in the world!" Varian giggles like a dork.

You giggle at him before trying to walk down the corridor to meet Quirin outside.

Varian grabs hold of your hand and pulls you back making you fall into him.

"Where do ya think you're going, Milady?" Varian smiles charmingly before letting you on his back.

Sophie is at the doorway watching you two dorks when she finally speaks up, "Are you two done yet? Not sure if you know, but the meteor shower doesn't come every night. And it doesn't wait for 'Mr I'm such a gentleman' to stop flirting."

Varian gasps while they're walking and you still on Varian's back.

"I think you would like to know I am a gentleman you kn...OW-" Varian trips over causing a pile on the floor.

Sophie smirks, "Yeah, definitely."

You both stand up and brush yourselves off.

Varian laughs awkwardly and rubs the back of his neck.

After awkward laughs, you all start walking outside when a familiar voice walks around the corner.

"(__)!!!!!!!" Willow runs up and bear hugs you.

"Aww! Get in here squirt! You've grown since I last saw you!" Willow ruffles your hair.

"Hey, Willow!" You reply.

"Who are these two cuties!?" Willow asks.

"Oh, yeah right, this is Sophie my best friend-"

You stop talking when Willow bear hugs Sophie.

"Can't... Breathe..."

You giggle, "And this is Varian... My... Boy-"

You start blushing.

Willow realises then squeals. "Awwww! That's so adorable! You three are just so cute!"

Ariana and Rapunzel walk around the corner, Ariana is holding a hamster looking, creature.

"Is that an umlaut? I didn't know those were real." You go over and pet it.

"Uh, yes Willow gave me it as a birthday present," Ariana replies.

"Oh, yeah that reminds me, happy birthday mom." You hand her a card you made last night.

"Awww! Thank you so much, sweetheart." Ariana hugs you.

"Mom?! Ari!!! You didn't tell me you adopted (__)!!!!!!!" Willow squeals.

"Uh, yes a few months ago." Ariana smiles.

Varian rubs the back of his neck, "Don't wanna break the fun and all... but we should get going, I told dad I would get you two then come straight out."

"Alright, Oh! Also Whatever you do... DON'T take the rattle off the little guy otherwise... your doomed." You warn.

You three make it outside to meet Quirin and Sebastian.

All the animal companions run/fly ahead.

"So, are you three ready? We've gotta get going now if we want to get a good spot for a shower." Quirin asks packing the last of the stuff and placing Ash and Ruddiger on Sebastian.

You all nod.

"Great, let's get going."

"Just wait dad, because I AM such a 'gentleman' the girls can ride Sebastian to the mountain." Varian lifts you on.

He offers a hand to help Sophie but she rejects it.

"Nah, I don't think so." She hops on.

"Suit ya self!" Varian chuckles as you begin to set off.

You have been travelling for four hours.

Your walking next to Quirin, holding the reins so sebby knows where to go.

Sophie and Varian have gone to sleep, snuggled into the animals, on Sebastian so it's just you and Quirin awake.

This was the time to ask him some questions without telling the whole story.

You put your arms behind your back, "So, Quirin... can I ask you something?"

Quirin looks at you, "And what's that?"

You sigh, "Remember when you said I can't change what I keep seeing?"

Quirin's eyes widen, "Yeah, I remember. Wait Seeing? have you had more those visions? are you keeping something from me?"

"What! N-no! No-look, that wasn't my question." You stutter. "What if I did change what I saw? You know to do something before something else can happen?"

"You can't, if your sure this is what you saw... then it will happen even how hard you try to stop it."

You're nearly at the top of the mountain, it's dark and the only light source is from lanterns you and Quirin are holding.

You sigh and move onto your last question, "Quirin... have you ever heard about... the star crystal?"

Quirin's eyes widen again, "No! No that's... just a myth!"

"Quirin, I know, you know something that I don't! C'mon, I'm more than ready to know!"

"(__), however much you think you're ready your not!" Quirin raises his voice a little.

"Ugh, stop protecting us! You said yourself! Whatever is going to happen will happen if you like it or not!" You shout.

"Enough (__)!!!!!" Quirin raises his voice way louder than you, waking Sophie and Varian up.

You flinch at his reaction, what is he trying to hide? But instead of keeping it going, you keep quiet.

Varian rubs his eyes, "Huh, what's going on? Are we there yet?"

Quirin turns around, "Nearly... why don't you and Sophie go find a spot, me and (__) will meet you there."

Quirin hands Varian his lantern as they both run off to find a spot.

Once there were fully gone Quirin spoke up. "Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you."

He puts his hand on your shoulder.

"It's fine. But I just don't understand, why won't you tell us what's going on?"

Quirin frowns, "Because you three need to figure it out on your own..." he smiles lightly, "Which I don't doubt for a second you won't. Now C'mon. Let's go and find them and watch the shower together... as a family."

You smile and nod as you both follow the light of the other lantern.

"There you two are! C'mon! I think it's about to start!" Sophie runs over and drags you and Quirin over to a large red blanket on the floor.

Quirin sits down.

You stare at Varian in the Starlight, his big blue eyes sparkling like usual.

Varian notices you staring and smiles charmingly before picking you up and kissing you on the forehead.

You blush, wrapping your arms around his neck and kiss his cheek, after all the stress you've had lately and the headache after a horse bucking you in the head. It's nice to finally relax with the people you care for the most.

Quirin notices you and Varian and smiles warmly.

Sophie sits down then notices too and shouts. "C'mon dorks! It's about to start!"

You and Varian walk over, holding hands, to the blanket and sit down.

You put your head on Varian's shoulder as he wraps his arm around you, he then hesitantly leans on his dad.

The first star shot across the sky, followed by lots more.

It was like the 'M' word which we do not say otherwise you'll get hit with a science book.

Quirin smiles at his son then ruffles his hair, before putting his arm around you all.

It's were like it wasn't real...

You'll risk getting a book thrown at you but it seriously was Magic.

It didn't last long but that moment felt like an eternity.

"That was amazing! Not magGicAl but spellbinding!" Varian chuckles to himself.

You all lay down on the blanket. Quirin has fallen "asleep" so it were just you and your two besties awake.

Varian rolls over and faces you, "It's gotten worse..." he whispers.

Sophie sits up, "How much worse?" She whispers.

"Well, the rocks are destroying farm-land and the houses... Have you guys found out anything about the crystal?" Varian asks.

You shake your head, "No... I've had to play it low since the guards only just stopped following me around. But don't worry, we'll figure out what these rocks are... together."

Varian smiles lightly, "I know we will."

Soon you all fall asleep. Except for one person... Quirin.

He sits up knowing everything you three said and sighs.

He carefully moves your satchel and opens it, taking out your journal and ripping a page out.

He quickly writes a letter out andputs it in your journal.

While he's writing, he hums the last part he wrote quietly and just like he expected yours and Varians streaks glowed.

Quirin puts his head down and sighs, "I hope you can forgive me (__)... But hopefully, you will be enough to save us all..."
