Idyllia placed her phone down once she heard Renjun sigh. "Nervous?" she asked him as he glanced over to her. "Just a bit." Renjun mumbled, playing with his fingers while Idyllia laid her head on his shoulder.

"Have you told your parents i'm coming too?"

"I'm keeping it as a surprise— don't worry, they'll like you. Trust me."

Idyllia looked at him with a smile before nodding her head, trusting his judgement. Though, Renjun couldn't help but feel a bit guilty at lying to her.

Soon they were called to board their plane, getting up with his grandpa and heading towards the entrance. If anything, Idyllia felt more nervous just thinking about meeting his parents. She wondered how they were, if they were nice to strangers or if they would even welcome her.

Renjun noticed her state before giving her a long hug. "You'll be fine, just stay by me. Okay, Dahlia?" the girl smiled at the given nickname before nodding her head. "Okay, Renjun."

The four arrived at the family-like home, waiting at the door step for someone to welcome them in.

Soon the door had opened to an older woman, one who looked like the female version of her son. Her eyes traveled over to the three before hugging her son and father greatly.

"I missed you too so much!" Hua, his mother said, smiling as Idyllia warmed up at the motherly interaction. Hua then pulled away before meeting eyes with Idyllia. "You didn't tell me you were bringing a friend along..!" Hua's smile slightly faltered at the sight of the girl to which Idyllia noticed.

"Mom, she's my girlfriend." Renjun then stood next to Idyllia, forcing her to wave at his mother as she laughed nervously.

"Oh! Oh...I see! Welcome uhm..what's your name?"

"Idyllia!"

"Sounds like dahlia." Hua said as her eyes traveled over to Renjun. "You must like girls with flowers in their names." his mother laughed before guiding them inside. Renjun tensed up at what his mother said while Idyllia looked away from him and followed after his mother.

"Jing! Your son brought a girlfriend!" Hua announced in the house as the three were behind her. "Renjun?!" his father said with a gasp. He saw his son and Idyllia standing next to each other, smiling widely at the sight.

"So this is what you do once you're gone? What happened to scared Jun who was scared to confess!" Jing jokingly said as Renjun shook his head in embarrassment. "Dad.." he mumbled. "I'm kidding! She's pretty! How long have you two been dating?"

"Well we dated freshman year—" Idyllia started to say until Hua interrupted her. "Enough about them, let's get them settled!" she said, taking her father's luggage as Renjun stared at his mother in disappointment. "Mom, where is Idyllia going to sleep? I don't mind her in my room—"

"She can sleep in..Liena's room for today."

Idyllia's heart dropped at the sudden familiar name. She had only thought his grandpa was just making up a name for her, only for her to realize it was someone else's. She didn't know whether or not "Liena" was a sister of his, but he always mentioned being an only child.

All she felt was a slight pang of betrayal in her heart.

"Come on, i'll show you to the room." Jing noticed the girl's sudden expression before giving a look to his son. Idyllia then followed his father in the hallway as he opened a door to the room. She poked her head inside and noticed how different the room was compared to hers.

It look updated, as if Liena came in constantly.

"Liena wouldn't mind sharing with you, she's Renjun's old friend." Jing said, which only made Idyllia's heart ache even more. "I see..thank you!" she gave his father a smile before he left. Idyllia
placed her luggage in the corner of the room as her eyes caught the photos on the wall.

She leaned closer to the pictures and saw a younger version of Renjun playing with a girl, to which she figured was Liena. She sighed until Renjun poked his head into the room. Idyllia caught him in the corner of her eyes.

"We're going out to eat right now.."

"Okay." Idyllia then came out the room and walked passed him as she made her way to his grandpa and dad. Renjun followed after her before closing the door to the room.
